Abstract

Ecotourism is responsible travel journey towards environmental sustainability and well being of local communities. The purpose of this reseach was to describe the participation of ecotourism actors on conservation activity at STPN region III Tanjung Harapan, Tanjung Puting National Park . This research is a combination of a qualitative descriptive and quantitative methods with the respondent survey, and skoring analysis methods. The result showed that the value of participation of ecotourism actors is 1.486 which is categorized as medium participation level. The level of participation for conservation efforts by ecotourism actors has been good, they are awareness about conservation likely silence on feeding area, not disposing of waste and taking forest resources, and involvement in ecotourism activities. It is important to increase conservation campaigns through ecotourism and conservation education for ecotourims actors

Abstract

Kekayaan keragaman hayati di indonesia merupakan suatu hal yang istimewa yang terus harus dijaga dan di prioritaskan. Pendidikan pengenalan terhadap kekayaan satwa nusantara menjadi pengetahuan yang penting untuk ditanamkan kepada anak-anak sejak dini sehingga menumbuhkan kecintaan dan kebanggan terhadap tanah air dan kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Tujuan utama artikel ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tren, pola kolaborasi, dan fokus penelitian dalam domain pendidikan pengenalan satwa prioritas kepada anak untuk itu sangat diperlukan dalam rangka membantu anak-anak umur 5-12 tahun dalam kepeduliannya terhadap satwa prioritas Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan investigasi bibliometrik dan literature review. Ruang lingkup data yang digunakan adalah artikel publikasi ilmiah pendidikan pengenalan satwa prioritas Indonesia pada anak umur 5-12 tahun berdasarkan penelusuran website Google Scholar. Artikel publikasi tersebut berasal dari jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Adapun batasan artikel publikasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini hanya yang diterbitkan secara Open Access atau dapat diakses dari segi penulis, penerbit, abstrak, key word, tahun terbitnya dan pdf-nya. Pengumpulan data artikel publikasi dilakukan mulai bulan Januari 2003 hingga bulan Januari 2023. Hasil dari penelitian ialah pendidikan satwa prioritas indonesia pada anak masih sedikit dan bahkan belum ada dilakukan ini menjadi hal yang penting untuk kedepannya menjadi pendidikan satwa prioritas indonesia pada anak baik di sekolah maupun dirumah. Anak-anak adalah generasi masa depan, dan pemahaman mereka tentang pentingnya konservasi dan pelestarian satwa akan membawa perubahan positif di masa mendatang. Kesimpulan fakta bahwa bahwa penelitian yang membahas pendidikan pengenalan Satwa Prioritas Indonesia pada anak masih sangat minim. Diperlukan penelitian-penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai faktor-faktor dan aktor-aktor penyebab masih sangat sedikit yang melakukan penelitian yang membahas pendidikan pengenalan Satwa Prioritas Indonesia pada anak usia umur 5-12 tahun. Dengan minimnya pendidikan ini, ada risiko bahwa generasi mendatang mungkin tidak sepenuhnya menghargai pentingnya melindungi satwa-satwa berharga ini dan ekosistem tempat mereka hidup. Langkah-langkah konkret dan kolaboratif perlu diambil untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak mengenai kekayaan alam Indonesia, sehingga mereka dapat menjadi agen perubahan yang berkomitmen untuk menjaga warisan alam dan budaya bangsa ini.

Abstract

Silvofishery utilizes mangrove forests with fisheries that follow a mangrove management system to get maximum results from mangrove forests to reduce environmental impact. Based on this, it is necessary to analyze ecological conditions and the influence of physical and biological factors of waters on vegetation growth. This study examined the suitability of silvofishery based on four planting years, 2012, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Data collection was carried out using a 10x10 m plot to analyze vegetation and measure habitat characteristics such as physical factors (temperature, mud thickness), chemic factors (dissolved oxygen, salinity, acidity), and biological factors (plankton and nekton). All these data were compared with silvofishery table suitability standards to assess the feasibility of research sites for silvofishery. The influence of physical, chemic, and biological factors on mangrove life is analyzed with the Generalized Linear Model (GLM). The results obtained from this study found the presence of physical, chemic, and biological factors that affect mangrove growth. Factors affecting silvofishery suitability of four different growing years, such as vegetation density, dissolved oxygen, and amount of nekton are not recommended for silvofishery. Factors that affect mangrove life in the planting year 2012 are mud depth and salinity, planting year 2018 acidity degree, the planting year 2019 temperature, and planting year 2020 nekton factor. Keywords: management, mangrove forest, pasar rawa, silvofishery, village AbstrakSilvofishery memanfaatkan hutan mangrove dengan perikanan yang mengikuti sistem pengelolaan mangrove untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal dari hutan mangrove untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan analisis kondisi ekologi dan pengaruh faktor fisik dan biologik perairan terhadap pertumbuhan vegetasi. Kajian ini mengkaji kesesuaian silvofishery berdasarkan empat tahun tanam, 2012, 2018, 2019, dan 2020. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan petak ukur 10x10 m untuk menganalisis vegetasi dan mengukur ciri habitat seperti kondisi faktor fisik (suhu, ketebalan lumpur), faktor kemik (oksigen terlarut, salinitas, keasaman), dan faktor biologik (plankton dan nekton). Semua data tersebut dibandingkan dengan standar kesesuaian tabel silvofishery untuk menilai kelayakan lokasi penelitian untuk silvofishery. Pengaruh faktor fisik, kemik, dan biologik terhadap kehidupan mangrove dianalisis dengan Generalized Linear Model (GLM). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini ditemukan adanya faktor fisik, kemik, dan biologik yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan mangrove. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kesesuaian silvofishery dari empat tahun tanam berbeda, seperti kerapatan vegetasi, oksigen terlarut, dan jumlah nekton yang tidak direkomendasikan untuk silvofishery. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kehidupan mangrove pada tahun tanam 2012 adalah kedalaman lumpur dan salinitas, tahun tanam 2018 derajat keasaman, tahun tanam 2019 suhu dan tahun tanam 2020 faktor nekton.Kata kunci: manajemen, hutan mangrove, pasar rawa, silvofishery, desa

Abstract

ABSTRAKLingkungan merupakan tempat yang harus diperhatikan dan dilestarikan, permasalahan lingkungan yang terjadi saat ini banyak disebabkan oleh aktivitas manusia yang mengakibatkan rusaknya lingkungan. Kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi harus memberikan pemahaman kepada setiap manusia terlebih terhadap siswa-siswi Sekolah Menengah Atas. Pemberian materi lingkungan hidup terhadap peserta didik SMA Hosana Medan yang meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepedulian mereka terhadap lingkungan sekitar meraka dan lingkungan hidup seperti kerusakan hutan yang terjadi. Pengenalan lingkungan dilakukan dengan kegiatan penyuluhan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pemahaman dan kepedulian peserta terhadapa lingkungan. Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan pemberian materi oleh narasumber, selanjutnya melaksanakan pre-test sebelum pemberian materi dan melakukan post-test setelah pemberian materi, kemudian akan dilakukan analisis data menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penyuluhan ini yaitu meningkatnya pemahaman dan kepedulian peserta atas kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi dan perlunya menjaga dan melestarikan lingkungan baik disekolah maupun dilingkungan pribadi siswa setelah dilakukan pemberian materi oleh narasumber. Kata kunci: pendidikan; lingkungan; sekolah; kerjasama ABSTRACTThe environment is a place that must be considered and preserved, many environmental problems that occur today are caused by human activities that result in environmental damage. Environmental damage that occurs must provide understanding to every human being, especially high school students. Provision of environmental materials to Hosana Medan High School students who increase their understanding and concern for the surrounding environment and the environment such as forest destruction that occurs. Environmental recognition is carried out with counseling activities that aim to find out how much understanding and concern participants have about the environment. This activity begins with the provision of material by the resource persons, then carrying out a pre-test before giving the material and conducting a post-test after giving the material, then data analysis will be carried out using the Paired Sample t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusion obtained from this counseling is the increased understanding and concern of participants for environmental damage that occurs and the need to maintain and preserve the environment both at school and in the student's private environment after the provision of material by the resource persons. Keywords: education; environment; school; collaborate

Abstract

Orangutans are one of the priorities of 25 species whose distribution in Indonesia is only found on the Islands of Kalimantan and Sumatra. Measuring orangutan sustainability in nature generally only uses nest surveys and population density. Most studies of demographic parameters for primates are limited to long-tailed monkey requirements for harvest quotas. This research aims to identify variables measuring the demographic parameters of the Kalimantan orangutan population. The methods used in this literature review are descriptive and quantitative, taken from scientific sources (journals, theses, online media) is relevant. Findings through literature reviews show that an unbalanced general structure, reproductive disorders, fertility, inbreeding, and an unbalanced sex ratio can cause population decline. Minimum Viable Population (MVP): Bornean orangutans are estimated to be able to survive 99% in 100 years a year, namely 250-500 individuals. Research concludes that the factor that is a strength in preserving Kalimantan orangutans is their long lifespan of ± 50 years. The threat to preserving Bornean orangutans is that only one child is produced during the reproductive period. External factors that influence age distribution are environmental factors and disease.

Abstract

Collaboration to build an educational culture is very important, one of which is the culture of environmental education. Environmental education will encourage and provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge that will foster an attitude of care and commitment to protect the environment and use the environment wisely. Environmental education is one of the important factors in achieving success in environmental management, as well as a very important means in producing human resources that can implement the principles of sustainable development. Environmental education will foster skills, attitudes and behaviors, motivation and commitment to work together to be able to solve various environmental problems and prevent new problems from arising. Environmental education is directed at the importance of aspects of attitudes and behavioral behavior of students to understand the importance of the environment for life and how to love and protect the environment becomes a value embedded in their daily lives.

Abstract

Silvofishery merupakan perpaduan antara hutan mangrove dan perikanan dengan memperhatikan kelestarian hutan mangrove yang pengelolaannya akan berdampak positif bagi lingkungan dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Pengelolaan yang berlebihan akan menyebabkan fungsi hutan tidak berjalan dengan baik, terutama sebagai jasa ekosistem. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan model silvofishery yang tepat sebagai optimalisasi rehabilitasi mangrove agar pengelolaannya berkelanjutan. Kampung Nelayan dipilih karena masyarakat dominan sebagai nelayan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dan juga hutan mangrove baru saja direhabilitasi sehingga perlu dikelola lebih baik dalam memperoleh hasil laut yang optimal. Penelitian dimulai dengan konsep dan model silvofishery melalui nelayan, masyarakat, dan pengelola lokal. Selanjutnya, pengamatan langsung dilakukan dalam mengumpulkan data tentang kesesuaian silvofishery, kepadatan vegetasi, keanekaragaman biota dan plankton, wawancara dengan nelayan lokal, masyarakat, pengelola dan studi literatur dari studi serupa. Terakhir, penentuan model silvofishery sebagai optimalisasi rehabilitasi mangrove dalam meningkatkan produktivitas hasil laut di Kampung Nelayan menggunakan analisis kesesuaian silvofishery, kepadatan vegetasi, keanekaragaman spesies biota dan plankton, nilai ekonomi mangrove, dan nilai kelayakan usaha.

Abstract

Fires on palm oil plantations always occur in Indonesia, although they have decreased from 2015 to 2020. This happens because fires are a fast and easy way to clear and clear land. Fires in palm oil plantations can damage the environment and wildlife.  Knowing the impact on the environment and animals, this article searches for and collects the results of previous research using traditional literature review methods. The literature review results show that oil palm was initially an ornamental plant brought from Africa, then cultivated in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Successful cultivation is then developed into plantation crops that have the potential to be widely cultivated in Indonesia. This causes an increase in the need for land to cultivate these plants. This increase in land demand causes fires to occur in Indonesia which impacts the release of carbon and wildlife. Carbon released from vegetation fires causes air pollution which results in environmental damage. These fires can also harm wildlife due to loss of habitat and food sources. To reduce the impact of fires, recommendations are given to increase CPO production without having to open new land, which can potentially increase forest and land fires. The recommended method is a partnership with oil palm farmers. This can meet CPO production needs for local and international markets without having to open new concessions. This method can also be used as an alternative to help oil palm farmers manage crops and improve the community's economy.
