Abstract

SMPN 4 Pasuruan merupakan salah satu sekolah negeri di Kota Pasuruan, sekolah ini terletak di Kecamatan Purworejo di Kota Pasuruan. Lebih tepatnya berada di Jalan RW. Monginsidi, No. 56, Kebonagung, Kecamatan Purworejo, Kota Pasuruan, Jawa Timur, 67111. Pengabdian ini merupakan bagian dari skema Pengabdian Mahasiswa kategori bidang sains, teknologi, dan lingkungan, melalui bidang unggulan penerapan ipteks untuk pengelolaan potensi unggulan lokal Jawa Timur. Pengabdian ini dilakukan  dengan beberapa tahap, yaitu 1) Melakukan sosialisasi kepada siswa ataupun siswi SMPN 4 Pasuruan mengenai kandungan dan potensi bahan hayati lokal (minyak jelantah) untuk dibuat biodiesel secara mandiri dalam memproduksi minyak tersebut menggunakan sel elektrolisis dengan potensi pemasaran produknya, 2) Melakukan pendampingan secara langsung untuk melatih siswa atau siswi SMPN 4 Pasuruan tersebut dan penyediaan peralatan produksi minyak jelantah dan, 3) Pembuatan laporan. Luaran yang dijanjikan dari pengabdian ini adalah 1) Laporan Kemajuan dan Akhir, 2) Publikasi artikel ilmiah/media sosial. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan keterampilan dan pengetahuan kepada para peserta yang merupakan siswa/i maupun guru SMPN 4 Pasuruan tentang pemanfaatan minyak jelantah untuk membuat produk kewirausahaan. Target yang dicapai dalam program ini adalah peserta mampu mengetahui dan mengolah bahan utama berupa minyak jelantah menjadi produk kewirausahaan yang lebih bermanfaat.

Abstract

COVID-19 not only brings problems to physical health but also mental health, such as anxiety. Excessive anxiety is very dangerous because it can reduce the number of white blood cells in the bloodstream. Excessive anxiety also triggers the production of excess cortisol which interferes with the immune system. This could be overcome by the combination of tea which has a relaxing effect with several immunomodulatory herbs. Green tea (Camellia sinensis) has been shown to have the effect of reducing one's anxiety and improving one's psychological health. The tea is combined with other spices, namely (Zingiber officinale), turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val), and cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii). This study was conducted to find out that the combination formed has met safety standards, so it can be used as an immunity-boosting drink during a pandemic. Standardization includes testing for moisture content, ash content, and organoleptic tests. The results obtained were the water content of herbal tea was as much as 6.26%, while the ash content of the tea was 5.74%. The water content and ash content had met the standards of the Ministry of Health regarding the preparation of herbal medicines. The organoleptic test performed showed that the formulation obtained was dominated by the taste of ginger, the color of turmeric, and the smell of cinnamon.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization of watermelon rind waste as an active ingredient in the manufacture of liquid soap preparations and to obtain the best formulation of watermelon rind extract liquid soap that is physically stable. Watermelon rind waste contains many nutritious substances, such as antioxidants, that are beneficial for skin health but have not been widely utilized. This study utilizes citrulline compounds in watermelon rind, which act as antioxidants and potential vasodilators, to be used as active ingredients in the manufacture of bath soap preparations with the aim of removing dirt and stimulating blood circulation. Research method includes the preparation of thick watermelon rind extract, the preparation of salt solution, and the preparation of liquid soap preparation formulas with varying concentrations of watermelon rind extract. Evaluation includes an organoleptic test, pH, viscosity, foam height, foam stability, homogeneity, and spreadability to obtain a liquid soap formula with stable physical properties. Result showed that watermelon rind extract has the potential to be an active ingredient in liquid soap preparations in order to utilize waste and provide benefits for skin health.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical properties and fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) profile of Hermetia illucens (BSF) maggot extract as a potential sustainable ingredient for animal feed. Lipid extraction was performed using a modified Bligh and Dyer method by substituting chloroform with n-hexane to ensure safer and environmentally friendly processing. Proximate analysis revealed that BSF maggots contained 29.36% crude protein, 43.76% crude fat, 9.27% ash, 19.94% crude fiber, and a low moisture content of 3.06%, indicating high nutritional density and storage stability. XRF and qualitative tests confirmed significant mineral content, particularly CaO, K?O, and P?O?, with no detectable heavy metals or harmful contaminants, supporting their safety for feed applications. Microscopic analysis showed particle sizes ranging from 2,000-10,000 nm, classifying the material as a nanostructured biomass. The FAME profile demonstrated a diverse composition dominated by 9-octadecenoic acid (10.92%), triacontane (8.87%), octadecanoic acid (7.65%), and heptacosanoic acid (7.17%). Key medium- and long-chain fatty acids such as dodecanoic acid (C12:0), elaidic acid (C18:1), and stearic acid (C18:0) were also detected, indicating the suitability of BSF lipids as an energy-dense feed component with oxidative stability. Overall, the biochemical and structural characteristics obtained in this study highlight BSF maggots as a promising, nutrient-rich, and environmentally sustainable ingredient for animal feed formulations.

Abstract

This study evaluates how the Malang City Government integrates accountability-based governance and sustainable development within the implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) in 2024. The study aims to (1) assess the effectiveness of SAKIP and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in strengthening governance performance, (2) analyze their linkage with key social, economic, and environmental outcomes, and (3) formulate an integrated interpretation of Malang City’s 2024 performance as a model of sustainable urban governance. A qualitative descriptive design with systematic document analysis was employed, drawing on the 2024 Government Agency Performance Report (LKjIP), the Local Government Implementation Report (LPPD), the 2024 AKIP Evaluation Report, regional development plans and complementary statistical and regulatory sources. The findings show that Malang’s performance achievement reached 101.51%, with a SAKIP score of 81.8 and an SPBE index of 4.24, accompanied by an increase in the Human Development Index to 83.42, economic growth of 5.93%, and an Environmental Quality Index of 61.76, supported by innovations in creative economy development, human resource improvement, digital public services, and community-based environmental management. The study concludes that the synergy between accountability instruments, digital transformation, and sustainability-oriented policies has positioned Malang City as a promising model of integrated urban governance, while highlighting remaining challenges related to digital inclusion, fiscal capacity, and long-term impact measurement that must be addressed to secure more equitable and resilient development in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to map global research trends and identify dominant thematic clusters within the business innovation literature to provide a comprehensive structural framework. Using a descriptive bibliometric approach, publication data spanning from 2022 to 2026 was retrieved from a premier scientific database to evaluate emerging literature patterns and keyword linkages. The findings reveal three core thematic clusters internal dimensions, organizational outcomes, and macro contexts with "business model" and "performance" acting as the central anchors of current academic discourse. Temporally, the literature exhibits a significant evolutionary shift from theoretical foundations in late 2023 toward contemporary, practical applications of digital and green innovation by mid-2024. A key limitation of this study stems from its data scope being bounded to a single scientific database; however, its practical implications highlight that integrating digital and environmental strategies is vital for long-term competitiveness and agility in volatile markets. The distinct novelty of this research lies in providing an integrated Data-Driven Sustainable Business Model Innovation (DDSBMI) perspective, systematically uncovering how technological and ecological factors interact within the broader innovation ecosystem rather than analyzing variables in isolation.
