Abstract

This article discusses about emancipatory education, the main focus is the strategy of building emancipatory education. Education has a close relationship with social change, both in the form of dynamics of individual development and social processes on a broader scale. This study of emancipatory education is important, because in this globalization era Education is one of the decisive aspects, especially in opening the way to liberation from poverty, ignorance and adversity. Emancipatory meaning is human liberation from fetters in the context of Education, this emancipatory idea is expected to be able to give new colors and changes to the process and implementation of Education which has been regarded as giving less freedom. The liberation paradigm is the main basis of emancipatory education. This liberation makes an education play a role in freeing students from ignorance, retardation, obedience and immorality. There are several efforts that must be made in building an emancipatory learning strategy on Islamic Education. First, shifting the focus of attention from religion to religiosity. Second, enter plurality. Third, emphasizing the formation of attitudes. Then there are three keys in the emancipatory Education model, namely: humanization, critical and democratic awareness.

Abstract

Abstrak: This study examines the substance of management strategy in educational institutions. Management is one of the main components in education system, this component has the function including “planning”, “organizing”, “implementing”, and “assessing” or “supervising” the education system. Strategic management is a systematic approach to management responsibility, conditioning the organization into a position that is sure to achieve its objectives in a way that ensures success, that is sustainable and makes the institution guarantee or secure a surprising format. There are four key attributes in strategic management, namely: 1) Directed directly at all goals and objectives of the organization; 2) Involve various stakeholders in decision making; 3) Be proportioned to short-term and long-term perspectives; 4) Determine the trade-off between efficiency and effectiveness. In strategic management there are stages that include strategic formulation, strategic implementation, and strategic evaluation. Abstract

Abstrak: This research aims to explore the strategy and impact of Kyai's transformational leadership on the development of Mambaus Sholihin Islamic Boarding School in the digital era. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study at the Mambaus Sholihin Gresik Islamic Boarding School. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of related documents. The results showed that Kyai at Mambaus Sholihin Gresik Islamic Boarding School implemented transformational leadership by combining traditional values with modern concepts. This strategy involves the application of information technology in religious learning, pesantren management, and internal communication. The positive impact of Kyai's transformational leadership can be seen in improving the quality of education, the involvement of students in digital learning, and the use of social media to spread the values of pesantren. This research contributes to the understanding of how Kyai's transformational leadership can steer pesantren towards positive adaptation to the development of digital technology. The practical implications of this research can be used as a guide for other pesantren institutions who want to update their approach in facing the challenges of the times. Abstract

Madrasah, as an Islamic educational institution, plays a crucial role in shaping the moderate character of students. This research aimed to analyze the actualization of Islamic moderation values in madrasah. A qualitative method was employed for this research. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicated that the madrasahs endeavored to actualize Islamic moderation values through a curriculum that encompasses religious, ethical, and moral teachings of Islam. The actualization of moderate Islamic values was supported by extracurricular activities such as religious studies, seminars, and social events. The values of moderation being implemented include: 1) The value of tolerance (tasammuh); 2) Tajrid; 3) al-Tawasuth; 4) Al-Muwajahah; 5) Al-tawāzun; 6) Al-i’tidal; 7) Collaboration (musyarakah); 9) Harmony, promoting unity, integrity, and discipline; and 10) Al muhafadzatu a’la qodimi al sholeh wa al akhdzu bi jadidi al ashlah. However, this research also identified several challenges, such as limited resources and difficulties in understanding the life context of the students. In conclusion, the madrasah has significant potential to become an educational institution capable of producing a generation that lives and practices the values of moderate Islam in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the improvement of Islamic education institutions' quality. The concept of an excellent educational institution/excellent school departs from the management process, which designs in such a way that the consistency of the vision and mission and the consistency of goals with the targets implemented in the work program by accommodating the wishes of the strategic environment referring to the specified quality measures. This study's results explain several steps to the quality of an excellent educational institution. First, realizing a professional work attitude. Second, cultivating excellent service. Third, strengthening the mission and social action. Fourth, developing empowerment functions. Fifth, building an academic atmosphere. Sixth, realizing sustainable achievements. Seventh, cultivating the main behavior. Eighth, cultivating the primacy of the atmosphere. Ninth, establishing a positive image. After the nine things that must be taken above can be realized, the next step and target are to shift the position of Islamic education institutions from a "second class" position to an "alternative position" so that it becomes an educational mecca for the community.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to increase interest and quality of reading among elementary students in Gapluk Village, Bojonegoro. Through a participatory approach, this research involves the student community, teachers, and local communities in the mentoring process. Activities involve reading coaching, procurement of reading materials, and training in creative learning methods. The results of this community service are expected to make a positive contribution to increasing interest in reading and improving the quality of understanding and retention of information among elementary level students. The program is also expected to provide a model for similar efforts in similar communities.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMPN 1 Ngronggot Nganjuk. The role of Islamic education teachers is crucial, as they are responsible for not only teaching but also evaluating students' understanding and application of Islamic principles. The research uses a qualitative method, employing interviews, observations, and document analysis to gather data from the Islamic education teachers at the school. The findings reveal that the implementation of PAI at SMPN 1 Ngronggot has been carried out effectively, with significant efforts made to engage students and ensure they grasp the religious teachings. The study highlights the importance of continuous evaluation to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic education and prevent issues such as juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the strategy of the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) Gresik in improving the understanding of Moderate Islam in the Detention Center Class II B Gresik. The focus of this research is on the aspects of strategy, process and results. The method uses phenomenological approaches, with observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results Showed that MUI Gresik is through direct and interactive learning, which is framed in Informal Education, in the form of At-Taubah Islamic Boarding School. The program of MUI at the Detention Center Class II B Gresik has 4 programs, namely: Routine activities; Monthly activities; Annual activities; Incidental activities. By using strategies directly, interactively, empirically and independently; The increase in understanding and intellectual ability of residents, cognitive strategies, verbal information, as well as motoric skills and affective attitudes, both in the fields of the Qur'an, Akidah, Fiqh and Counseling Guidance. Abstract

The importance of the implementation of prophetic values in the formation of student character in madrasas, especially in MTs Al-Hafizh Surabaya. Emphasis on affective and psychomotor aspects in education is urgently needed to overcome various deviant behaviors among students, such as brawls and drug abuse. Prophetic education, which is grounded in the values of humanization, liberation, and transcendence, offers an approach to developing students' potential and strengthening their faith. This study uses a qualitative type of research. Data and documents were collected and compiled using in-depth interview techniques, participant observation and documentation studies. The data and documents are then checked for validity through triangulation of sources, techniques and time. Furthermore, the data and documents are analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The result of this research is that MTs Al-Hafizh has implemented prophetic values into the school's vision and mission, through routine activities such as congregational prayers and religious learning. The active role of principals, teachers, and homeroom teachers in internalizing these values is very important, supported by intense communication with students' parents. Thus, it is hoped that students can develop good character, integrity, and responsibility, be ready to face the challenges of the times and contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami bagaimana strategi penguatan sikap toleran sebagai manifestasi dari moderasi beragama di sebuah lembaga sekolah. Untuk memahami fenomena yang diteliti secara mendalam, penelitian ini mengadopsi metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang datanya diperoleh dari wawancara dan dokumentasi, serta peneliti melakukan observasi secara langsung untuk memperkuat data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian tentang strategi penguatan sikap toleran siswa melalui program pendidikan Islam berwawasan moderasi beragama yang telah terlaksana dengan baik di SMP Negeri 4 Gresik, diantaranya adalah pertama, melalui pembelajaran langsung di dalam kelas dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan audio-visual. Kedua, melalui program ekstrakurikuler kesenian yakni mengenalkan budaya melalui tari seni. Ketiga, melalui program intrakurikuler kegiatan Jum’at bersih dan makan sehat bersama setiap bulan untuk memupuk kerukunan antar warga sekolah. Studi ini dapat menjadi sumber informasi yang dapat digunakan oleh para peneliti yang tertarik pada bidang moderasi beragama
