Abstract

This article discusses the challenges faced by the South Sulawesi Police in the context of the dynamics of security and democracy in Indonesia ahead of the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada). The post-Cold War era and the rise of new global powers have influenced the democratization process in various countries, including Indonesia, which has experienced a significant democratic transition after the 1998 Reformation. However, this process also presents challenges such as radicalization, social polarization, and conflict that are often exploited by political actors. In the scientific oration of the South Sulawesi Police Chief at the 107th Graduation Ceremony of UIN Alauddin Makassar with the theme "Challenges of the Police in Facing the Era of Democracy (Pilkada Era), the importance of community policing and proactive policing approaches in maintaining security stability and preventing social conflict was emphasized. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with literature study and analysis of oration texts to identify the main challenges faced by the Police. The results of the study indicate that geopolitical changes, social inequality, and potential conflicts due to sensitive issues are factors that need to be addressed. This article recommends improving political education, community involvement, and conflict mitigation strategies to create a healthy and stable democratic climate in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the inheritance status of interfaith marriages in Indonesia's multicultural basis according to classical and contemporary jurisprudence. The method used is library research with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The results of the research are that multicultural-based fiqh can be understood through the reinterpretation of religious texts using the maqashid sharia approach. Interfaith marriage as one of the effects of social interaction in a multicultural country still leads to a taboo understanding that interreligious marriage in Indonesia is not allowed, as classical and contemporary jurist opinion generally forbids it. Questioning the status of inheritance in interfaith marriages, the scholars of the four schools of thought, Ali as-Shabuni, Sayyid Sabiq, Muhammad as-Syaukani, and Mustafa as-Salabi agreed that their inheritance rights were hindered, while according to the Imami school of thought, Ibn Taimiyah and Ibn Qayyim al-Jauzi and Yusuf Al- Qardhawi was not deterred by the pretext of helping each other. In Indonesia, the inheritance rights of interfaith marriages are discussed in the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) No. 368K/AG/1995 and the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 51K/AG/1999 which shows that in terms of not obtaining inheritance rights, they will receive a "wasiat wajibah". Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi gagasan status waris perkawinan beda agama di basis multikultural Indonesia menurut yuris klasik dan yuris kontemporer. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian adalah fikih berbasis multikultural dapat difahami melalui reintepretasi teks agama menggunakan pendekatan maqashid syariah. Perkawinan beda agama sebagai salah satu dampak interaksi sosial di negara multikultural masih mengantarkan pada pemahaman yang tabu sehingga perkawinan beda agama di Indonesia tidak diperbolehkan, sebagaimana pendapat yuris klasik dan kontemporer yang secara umum mengharamkannya. Menyoal status waris dalam perkawinan beda agama ulama empat mazhab, Ali as-Shabuni, Sayyid Sabiq, Muhammad as-Syaukani dan Musthafa as-Salabi sepakat bahwa hak warisnya terhalang sedangkan menurut mazhab Imamiyah, Ibnu Taimiyah dan Ibnu Qayyim al-Jauzi serta Yusuf Al-Qardhawi tidak terhalang dengan dalih semangat tolong-menolong. Di Indonesia, terkait hak waris perkawinan beda agama dibahas pada putusan Mahkamah Agung (MA) No.368K/AG/1995 dan putusan Mahkamah Agung RI Nomor 51K/ AG/1999 yang menunjukkan bahwa secara istilah tidak mendapat hak waris tetapi akan mendapat wasiat wajibah.

Abstract

This research was conducted as an analysis of the gaps that occur in Al-Islam Education. The label of religion that can become a dogma in society about behavior that good and bad activities be so as to encourage people to behave well, in fact no longer works. The increasingly widespread moral degradation is taken seriously by the government with the existence of differentiated learning in the Merdeka Curriculum which can build a pleasant and meaningful learning atmosphere so that the values of Islamic teachings can be conveyed completely. This study used qualitative research with primary data through interviews with Al-Islam Education teachers at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Data processing and analysis techniques gradually through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. This research shows that the implementation of differentiated learning in Al-Islam Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo is carried out well and systematically through 3 stages, namely planning, learning, implementing learning, and evaluating learning. The planning stage is carried out training related to learning, diagnostic assessment, formulation of learning outcomes, learning objectives, Learning Objectives Flow (ATP), and teaching modules. The implementation stage is a means for teachers, students, and learning resources to interact with the principle of independence so that teachers organize learning based on the needs of students. The last stage is evaluation, both formative carried out during learning and summative contained at the end of learning aimed at assessing and improving the learning that has been carried out.

Abstract

Perilaku bullying di lingkungan sekolah dasar merupakan salah satu permasalahan sosial yang dapat mengganggu proses pembelajaran serta perkembangan psikologis peserta didik. Kurangnya pemahaman siswa mengenai bentuk dan dampak bullying sering menyebabkan perilaku tersebut dianggap sebagai hal yang wajar dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya edukatif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan saling menghargai. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa mengenai pengertian bullying, bentuk-bentuk perilaku bullying, serta dampak negatifnya bagi korban maupun pelaku. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui program sosialisasi kepada siswa di SD YPMP 2 Palembang sebagai bagian dari program Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa (KKM) Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan, penyampaian materi melalui sosialisasi dan diskusi interaktif, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai perilaku bullying dan dampaknya, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran untuk saling menghargai, menumbuhkan empati, dan menjaga hubungan sosial yang positif di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The increasingly complex global environmental crisis indicates that ecological problems are not merely technical in nature but are rooted in the way humans perceive nature. Ironically, environmental degradation is also prevalent in regions with predominantly Muslim populations, despite the Qur’an containing strong ecological ethical values. This condition suggests a failure in the internalization of religious values within the education system, particularly in Islamic Religious Education. This study aims to analyze Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s ecotheological thought and examine its relevance as a conceptual foundation in Islamic Religious Education, especially in fostering students’ ecological and spiritual awareness. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing Nasr’s works and contemporary literature on ecotheology and Islamic education. The findings reveal that Nasr’s critique of modernity—which views nature merely as an object of exploitation—holds strong relevance for the development of Islamic Religious Education oriented toward the internalization of tawhid, amanah (trust), and adab (ethical conduct) toward nature. Nasr’s ecotheology can serve as a pedagogical foundation to shift Islamic Religious Education from a cognitive-normative approach toward the sustainable formation of students’ ecotheological character. Therefore, this study emphasizes that Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in responding to environmental crises through strengthening the spiritual and ethical dimensions of human-nature relationships
