Abstract

Tuna fishery production in Bengkulu Province is mainly produced by fishermen in Kaur Regency. The tuna fishery business in Kaur Regency is still small scale and traditional. The potential of tuna fish resources that quite large in the Kaur Regency waters, which provides a large enough opportunity for the development of tuna fisheries to a larger scale, including the tuna processing industry. The research objective was to analyze the feasibility of developing the tuna loin industry in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province. The research was conducted in July-August 2018, using a survey method. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview methods. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive method. The feasibility assessment of developing a tuna loin industry using 4 investment criteria, namely B/C Ratio, NPV (Net Present Value), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). The calculation result of the 4 investment criteria for development of tuna loin fishery industry in Pasar Lama Village, Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province, namely Net B/C ratio = 1.13, NPV = 594,414,281, IRR = 16.20 and PP = 2.9. Based on the value of 4 investment criteria, with the support of raw material availability and marketing aspects, the development of the tuna loin industry in Pasar Lama Village, Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province is feasible to be developed.Keywords: tuna, loin, industry, investment, Kaur, Bengkulu

Abstract

Tikus Island is surrounded by a coral reef so that it is able to protect the island from abrasion due to large waves. The coastal and marine resources of Tikus Island have various ecological and economic functions. The purpose of this study is to calculate and analyze the total benefit value of potential marine and fisheries resources in the Tikus Island Area, Malabro Village, Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City. This research was conducted in March - April 2022. This study used a comprehensive survey method. Sampling using Purposive Sampling technique. Respondents value the benefits of existence consist of the level of education, namely with the Axidental Sampling technique. The results of this study obtained the total benefit value of marine and fisheries resources on Tikus Island is Rp. 19.205.799.426,-/year with a direct use value of Rp. 2.455.820.000,-/year, inderect use value of Rp.989.047.590 ,-/year, option value of Rp. 681.424.836,-/year, excitence value of Rp. 14.833.925.000,-/ year, bequest value Rp. 245.582.000,-/year Keywords : Economic Valuation, Tikus Island, Direct Use Value, Indirect Use Value, Total Economic Value

Abstract

Ekosistem lamun adalah tumbuhan berbunga yang hidup di perairan laut dangkal memiliki peran untuk mengurangi gelombang, menstabilkan substrat sehingga mengurangi kekeruhan, menjebak zat hara dan menjadi tempat bertelur, memijah, serta tempat bermain biota laut. Penelitian tentang sebaran dan tutupan lamun secara spasial telah dilakukan di Pulau Dua Kecamatan Enggano Provinsi Bengkulu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui luas sebaran, persentase tutupan lamun secara spasial serta mengukur akurasi peta sebaran dan tutupan lamun menggunakan citra satelit Sentinel-2. Citra yang digunakan telah dilakukan koreksi atmosferik dan koreksi kolom air. Titik pengamatan lapangan diambil sebanyak 124 titik yang disetiap titiknya diletakkan 1 transek kuadrat 10 x 10 m yang di dalamnya terdapat 9 transek kuadrat berukuran 1 x 1 m diletakkan lurus di tengah-tengah transek 10 x 10. Setiap titik pengamatan diambil titik koordinatnya diamati persen tutupan lamun. Hasil analisis data lapangan didapatkan 5 jenis lamun yaitu jenis Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Syringodium isoetifolium, Cymodocea serrulata, Cymodocea rotundata. Terdapat empat kategori kepadatan lamun dari hasil klasifikasi citra, yaitu lamun jarang, lamun sedang, lamun padat dan lamun sangat padat. Analisis Citra Sentinel-2 di perairan Pulau Dua, Kecamatan Enggano, Provinsi Bengkulu menunjukan total luasan lamun sebesar 113,83 ha yang tersebar secara acak di seluruh perairan Pulau Dua dengan tutupan sangat padat 10,23ha (8,98%), lamun padat 31,23 ha (27,44%), lamun sedang 34,17 (30,03%), lamun jarang 38,20 ha (33,55%). Uji akurasi dari perbandingan hasil klasifikasi dan data lapangan (ground truth) mendapat hasil akurasi total sebesar 90%.

Abstract

Abstract:  One of the important parameters in monitoring water quality is pH. pH measurement can be done by measuring remotely based on IoT. However, there is no information that explains the accuracy level of IoT-based remote measurements. This study was conducted with the aim of testing the accuracy level of pH measurement using an IoT-based remote pH sensor. The design of the pH measuring instrument uses a PH-4502C sensor that is embedded in the ESP 8266 microcontroller through programming in the Arduino IDE. Data communication uses the Thingspeak IoT platform. Testing the accuracy of the pH sensor measurement results is done by comparing the value to the standard pH. The relative difference between the sensor pH value and the standard pH value is assessed as the measurement error rate. The results showed that the measurement error rate (relative difference) was 4.75%, which means the sensor accuracy rate was 95.25%. The comparative test results also prove that there is no significant difference in the measurement results of the pH sensor with the standard pH. This shows that the designed instrument has functioned well with a high level of accuracy so that it can be applied in the field for water monitoring.Abstrak: Salah satu parameter penting dalam pemantauan kualitas perairan adalah pH. Pengukuran pH dapat dilakukan dengan mengukur secara jarak jauh berbasiskan IoT. Namun belum ada informasi yang menjelaskan tingkat akurasi pengukuran jarak jauh berbasiskan IoT. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menguji tingkat akurasi pengukuran pH menggunakan sensor pH secara jarak jauh berbasiskan IoT. Perancangan instrumen pengukur pH menggunakan sensor PH-4502C yang ditanamkan pada mikrokontroler ESP 8266 melalui pemrograman pada Arduino IDE. Komunikasi data menggunakan platform IoT Thingspeak. Pengujian tingkat akurasi hasil pengukuran sensor pH dilakukan dengan membandingkan nilai pada pH standar. Selisih relatif nilai pH sensor dengan nilai pH standar dinilai sebagai tingkat kesalahan pengukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesalahan pengukuran (selisih relatif) sebesar 4,75 % yang berarti tingkat akurasi sensor sebesar 95,25 %.  Hasil uji komparatif juga membuktikan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan hasil pengukuran pH sensor dengan pH standar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang dirancang telah berfungsi dengan baik dengan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi sehingga dapat diaplikasikan di lapangan untuk monitoring peraira

Abstract

Bengkulu Province, which is located on the West Coast of Samudera Island, is known to have a coastline of ± 525 km, and is directly connected to the Indian Ocean. There are several large rivers that flow to the coast of Bengkulu Province. Fish resources in the waters of Bengkulu Province are quite potential, both in terms of number and type of fish. One type of fish that is currently receiving attention for use and development is the eel (Anguilla spp.). Bengkulu Province, which ranks second in terms of eel production in Indonesia, with a contribution of 16.1% in 2018. This research aims to analyze the effect of various types of bait on catches of eels (Anguilla spp.) in the Tanjung Agung River, Sungai Serut District, Bengkulu City. This research was carried out using experimental methods. There were 3 types of bait used in this research, namely worms, shrimp and snails. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and data analysis used the Kruskal-Wallis Test. Only one species of eel was caught, namely Anguilla bicolor. Apart from eels, other types of fish were also caught, namely tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), betok fish (Anabas testudineus) and catfish (Clarias batrachus). The difference between three types of bait has no effect on the catch of eels (Anguilla spp.) using hand lines in the Tanjung Agung River, Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Ikan Tuna Sirip Kuning merupakan jenis ikan yang penting secara ekonomi, menyebar hampir ke seluruh perairan Indonesia termasuk Perairan Kaur. Salah satu parameter terkait upaya pemanfaatan berkelanjutan adalah pola pertumbuhan dan eksploitasi, faktor ini merupakan salah satu aspek dalam memperkirakan kondisi populasi ikan Tuna Sirip Kuning di perairan yang meliputi perkiraan usia, pertumbuhan, dan kematian. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi aspek biologis termasuk distribusi ukuran, parameter pertumbuhan dan laju eksploitasi ikan Tuna Sirip Kuning yang di daratkan di Kabupaten Kaur. Penelitian dilakukan pada September 2022 - Agustus 2023. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di TPI Linau, Kabupaten Kaur. Data meliputi panjang dan berat ikan. Ikan Tuna Sirip Kuning diperoleh 275 sampel ikan tuna sirip kuning dengan interval kelas 68-193 cmFL. Hubungan antara panjang dan berat badan termasuk dalam alometrik negatif 2,91 dengan nilai faktor kondisi (Kn) 123-1,45. Parameter pertumbuhan menunjukkan nilai panjang asimtotik (L∞) 194,25 cmFL, dengan nilai koefisien pertumbuhan (K) 0,33 tahun-1 dan nilai Lc 146 cm. Perkiraan tingkat kematian dan eksploitasi adalah total kematian (Z) 1,11 tahun-1, mortalitas alami (M) 0,48 tahun-1, mortalitas akibat penangkapan (F) 0,63 tahun-1, tingkat eksploitasi (E) 0,57 tahun-1.

Abstract

Environmentally friendly fishing gear is a fishing gear that does not have a negative impact on the environment, such as not damaging the bottom of the water. There are 4 fishing gears that are often used by the people of Pasar Pillow Village, Teramang Jaya District, namely longline fishing rods, shrimp trawls, millennium nets and nylon nets. Research on the analysis of environmentally friendly fishing gear was carried out in April May 2022 in Pasar Pillow Village, Teramang Jaya District, Mukomuko Regency. This study aims to analyze environmentally friendly fishing gear (API) in Pasar Pillow Village, Teramang Jaya District, Mukomuko City. The method used is the survey method. Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of the research data were analyzed by descriptive method. The categories of environmentally friendly fishing gear used by Pillow Market fishermen are longline fishing rods, nylon nets, and millennium nets.
