Abstract

This type of research and development aims to identify the need for digital math books, design digital math books, and measure the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of digital math books. The digital book development process refers to the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted at SMPN 5 Watansoppeng with the whole research subject to see the effectiveness of digital math books, 2 experts to get the validity of the digital math books developed, learning achievement tests in large group trials to see the effectiveness of digital books, and teacher response questionnaires to see the practicality of digital books. The results of the study show that the validation of material experts is in a good category and that media experts are in a very good category so that digital math books can be used in the learning process. The results of individual and small group trials by distributing questionnaires to each student's responses were in a good category, while in the large group trials by giving pretests and posttests, scores were in a significant category so that scores were obtained in the effective category. Then an analysis of the level of practicality was carried out by giving the value of the teacher's response to the mathematics subject teacher in the very good category so that a value was obtained in the practical category.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) how to describe students' understanding of concepts before being taught using LKPD based on PhET simulation, 2) to find out how to understand students' concepts after being taught using LKPD based on PhET simulation, 3) to find out if there is an increase in students' understanding of concepts before and after being taught using LKPD based on PhET simulation for students of the Physics Education Study Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar 2024. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest desing design. The subjects of this research are all students of the Semester I of the Physics Education Study Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar Odd Semester 2024/2025. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The instrument used is a question to measure understanding of the concept. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average score of the concept comprehension score before using the LKPD based on PhET simulation , the tcount obtained is 5.43 and the ttable obtained is 2.08.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teachers' perceptions of the development of mathematics materials based on Papuan local wisdom in enhancing numeracy skills among junior high school students. The integration of local wisdom in mathematics learning becomes an important strategy for creating meaningful and contextual learning experiences. The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and questionnaires administered to mathematics teachers in junior high schools across Papua. Research subjects include mathematics teachers with a minimum of three years teaching experience who have implemented culturally-based learning approaches. Data analysis was conducted using triangulation techniques to ensure the validity and reliability of research findings. The results demonstrate that teachers maintain positive perceptions toward the development of mathematics materials based on Papuan local wisdom, with indicators including increased student learning motivation, enhanced conceptual understanding, and improved relevance of learning to daily life experiences. The implementation of local wisdom in mathematics materials proves effective in improving students' numeracy skills through learning approaches that accommodate local cultural values. These findings contribute significantly to the development of more contextual and meaningful mathematics learning strategies for students in the Papua region, providing valuable insights for educational stakeholders seeking to bridge cultural heritage with academic excellence.
