Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji bentuk variasi bahasa pada interaksi sosial masyarakat di Kabupaten Sambas. Tuturan masyarakat yang sangat beragam yang dipengaruhi kegiatan sehari-hari yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kualitatif dengan bentuk deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Tanjung Mekar. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan simak libat cakap yang berupa turuan masyarakat Desa Tanjung Mekar. Teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat diklasifikasikan berdasarkan bentuk variasi bahasa dalam interkasi sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pertama variasi bahasa dari segi pemakaian yang terdiri dari bidang Perekonomian dan Pendidikan. Kedua, variasi bahasa dari segi keformalan yaitu ragam santai, ragam akrab, dan ragam formal. Data penelitian yang di dapatkan sebanyak 12 data dalam bentuk variasi bahasa. ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to examine the forms of language variation in social interaction in Sambas Regency. The speech of the community is very diverse which is influenced by the daily activities carried out by the community. The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive form. The research location is Tanjung Mekar Village. The data collection technique is in the form of interviews and listening to expert involvement in the form of stories from the people of Tanjung Mekar Village. Data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The research results can be classified based on the form of language variation in social interactions in everyday life. Firstly, language variations in terms of usage consisting of the fields of Economics and Education. Second, language variations in terms of formality, namely casual variety, familiar variety and formal variety. The research data obtained was 12 data in the form of language variations.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran membaca puisi, kendala dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi, dan upaya guru dalam mengoptimalkan pembelajaran membaca puisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tayan Hulu dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, dan teknik dokumentasi. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan dokumen. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran membaca puisi dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kendala yang dihadapi guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi berasal dari faktor internal, seperti rendahnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap puisi, serta faktor eksternal seperti keterbatasan media pembelajaran dan waktu yang tersedia. Upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran membaca puisi yaitu dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi, melibatkan siswa dalam kegiatan praktik pembacaan puisi, serta memberikan motivasi dan bimbingan secara intensif.

Abstract

Permasalahan perundungan (bullying) di lingkungan perguruan tinggi masih menjadi tantangan serius dalam mewujudkan iklim akademik yang aman dan beretika. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah rendahnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap kebijakan dan etika kampus sebagai pedoman perilaku sivitas akademika. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Pontianak mengenai kebijakan dan etika kampus serta upaya pencegahan bullying. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui sosialisasi materi, diskusi interaktif, studi kasus, serta evaluasi menggunakan angket pretest dan posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap kebijakan kampus, kode etik mahasiswa, serta pengetahuan mengenai bentuk dan dampak bullying. Selain itu, mahasiswa menunjukkan sikap yang lebih positif dan kesiapan untuk berperan aktif dalam mencegah serta melaporkan tindakan bullying di lingkungan kampus. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat budaya akademik yang beretika dan mendukung terciptanya lingkungan kampus yang aman, inklusif, dan bebas dari praktik perundungan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan melimpahnya arus berita digital menuntut peserta didik memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi, berpikir kritis, dan kemandirian belajar dalam memahami teks berita. Namun, pembelajaran teks berita di sekolah masih cenderung berorientasi pada penguasaan struktur dan kebahasaan, serta belum secara optimal mendorong pembelajaran mandiri dan penguatan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model pembelajaran Self-Directed Learning (SDL) pada materi teks berita dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal sebagai konteks pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan sintesis teoretis terhadap konsep SDL, pembelajaran teks berita, serta integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik content analysis terhadap literatur utama yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan model pembelajaran SDL yang terdiri atas lima tahapan inti, yaitu kesadaran diri, manajemen diri, pemilihan strategi belajar, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan refleksi diri. Integrasi kearifan lokal dilakukan secara tematik dan metodologis melalui pemanfaatan sumber berita lokal, keterlibatan masyarakat sebagai sumber belajar, serta pengangkatan isu sosial dan budaya lokal sebagai konten pembelajaran teks berita. Model pembelajaran yang dirancang memberikan kerangka operasional bagi guru dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran teks berita yang berorientasi pada penguatan literasi informasi, kemandirian belajar, dan pembentukan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai lokal. Dengan demikian, model SDL ini berpotensi menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang kontekstual dan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik

Abstract

This study analyzes the intrinsic elements in the short story “Kucingku Sayang” written by Werdiningsih. The problem of this research is how the intrinsic elements build the structure of the story. The purpose of this study is to describe the intrinsic elements contained in the short story, including theme, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, point of view, language style, and moral message. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data source is the short story “Kucingku Sayang” which is included in a collection of children's short stories. Data were collected through literature study by reading, understanding, and recording parts of the story related to intrinsic elements. The data were analyzed through the stages of identification, classification, description, and interpretation. The results show that the theme of the story is affection and responsibility toward pets. The main character, Tya, is portrayed as a caring child who loves her pet cat named Momo. The story uses a progressive plot with simple language and a first-person point of view. The moral message emphasizes empathy, responsibility, and affection toward living beings.

Abstract

This study examines the alienation of the main character in Brian Khrisna's novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati (A Bowl of Chicken Noodles Before Death). The problem in this study is how the main character experiences alienation in the story. The focus of the study covers three aspects of alienation, namely the character's alienation from himself, the character's alienation from others, and the character's alienation from society. This study aims to describe and analyze the forms of alienation experienced by the main character in the novel. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a literary psychology approach using Erich Fromm's theory of alienation. The source of data for this study is the text of the novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati. The data collection technique was carried out through reading and note-taking, namely by identifying parts of the text that describe the main character's state of alienation. The data was then analyzed by classifying and interpreting the forms of alienation found based on the theory used. The results of the study show that the main character in the novel experiences three forms of alienation. First, alienation from oneself, which is characterized by inner conflict, feelings of loss of direction, and a crisis of meaning in life. Second, alienation from others, which is evident in strained social relationships and the character's difficulty in building emotional closeness. Third, alienation from society, which is evident through the character's.

Abstract

The development of social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok has influenced the way people communicate, especially in the use of Indonesian. This study aims to analyze the types of language errors that appear on social media, as well as the causes and impacts. The method used is descriptive qualitative, examining various examples of language use on social media. The results indicate that errors include spelling, morphology, syntax, and semantics. These errors are caused by the influence of slang, the speed of communication, a lack of understanding of language rules, and the influence of foreign languages. The impacts include a decline in the use of formal language and the potential for misunderstandings in communication. Increased awareness is needed to use Indonesian according to applicable rules. Furthermore, the way people speak on social platforms is often influenced by habits, convenience, and slang trends widely used by the public, especially the younger generation. This has resulted in a shift from formal to informal language. While the use of casual language can strengthen social relationships, excessive use without regard for rules can affect good and correct language skills, particularly in education. This phenomenon is a crucial issue because language is a national identity and also a primary means of communication in the world of education. If language errors are left unchecked, this can impact the quality of public literacy. Therefore, an in-depth study is needed regarding various types of language errors on social media so that it can become a basis for increasing awareness of the use of good and correct language.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semiotic aspects in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila Salikha Chudoriusing Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory. The research focuses on identifying and analyzing signs in theform of icons, indices, and symbols in the novel, as well as how these signs represent the profound meaningsembedded within the text. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with hermeneutic methods,involving an in-depth analysis of the novel's text and context. The data consists of relevant excerpts from the novel,such as characters, dialogues, and settings, analyzed through a semiotic lens. The findings reveal that icons inthe novel often depict visual and emotional qualities, such as the sound of waves symbolizing resistance. Indiceshighlight causal and existential relationships, such as the physical injuries of characters reflecting trauma.Symbols enrich the narrative, such as the sea, which represents emotional depth and internal conflict. Throughsemiotic analysis, this study successfully unveils the main themes of the novel, including historical trauma,struggle, and hope. This research is expected to contribute to Indonesian literary studies, particularly inunderstanding literary works through a semiotic approach

Abstract

The novel 3726 MDPL by Nurwina Sari stands as one of Indonesia's popular literary phenomena of 2024, having set a sales record of over 40,000 copies within three days of its release. This study aims to describe the variety of language styles employed in the novel and to analyze their influence on reader appeal. A descriptive qualitative method with a stylistic approach was applied, drawing on the theoretical frameworks of Keraf (2016) and Nurgiyantoro (2017). Data were collected through careful reading and note-taking techniques applied to narrative excerpts, dialogues, and descriptions containing figurative language. The analysis reveals five dominant language styles in 3726 MDPL: simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, and metonymy. The novel's distinctiveness lies in its blending of casual, colloquial dialogue with reflective, poetic expressions, creating a stylistic dualism that is simultaneously accessible and aesthetically rich. These language styles are found to enhance reader appeal through four primary mechanisms: emotional resonance, narrative immersion, high readability, and strong quotability in the social media era. The study concludes that the deliberate and precise selection of language style is a key factor in bridging literary value and market appeal in contemporary popular fiction.

Abstract

This study examines the paradox of family harmony in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap by Bene Dion Rajagukguk. The main issue in this research is how the family harmony that appears on the surface actually conceals conflicts, tensions, and emotional distance among family members. The aim of this study is to reveal the forms of the harmony paradox and interpret its meaning in the context of family relationships. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a content analysis approach, which focuses on narrative elements, dialogues, and interactions among the characters in the film. Data collection was conducted through non-participant observation by repeatedly and thoroughly watching the film, as well as documentation techniques in the form of recording dialogues, scenes, and interactions relevant to the research focus. The obtained data were then analyzed interpretatively to understand the communication dynamics and family relationships depicted. The research results indicate that family harmony in the film is built through cultural demands, non-open communication patterns, and the dominance of parental authority, which tends to suppress emotional expression and individual desires. This condition creates a paradox, where harmony appears to be maintained on the surface, but conflict continues to occur secretly through dialogue and interactions between characters. This study concludes that the film reflects the complexity of maintaining family integrity, especially in cultures that prioritize togetherness over openness, so true harmony requires honest communication and mutual understanding.
