Abstract

Air limbah cucian beras jika difermentasi selama dua minggu menimbulkan bau. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menambah Efektif Microorganisme (EM 4) dapat memperpendek waktu fermentasi dan tidak menimbulkan bau. Efektif Microorganisme 4 adalah produk dari luar, sementara Indonesia mempunyai banyak mikroorganisme lokal yang potensial untuk dikembangkan. Pupuk organik ini telah diteliti pada tanaman anggrek, sayur-sayuran, dan kedelai. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan mikroorganisme lokal yang dapat menghilangkan bau pada air limbah cucian beras yang akan digunakan sebagai pupuk organik. Isolasi dengan menggunakan media Patato Dextrose Agar (PDA) dan Mann Rogosa Sharpe Agar (MRSA), dengan sumber inokulan air limbah cucian beras, ragi tape, kombucha, dan yoghurt. Hasil isolasi diperoleh 2 jenis Lactobacillus dari air limbah cucian beras dan yogurt. Ada tujuh khamir yang diperoleh, yaitu dari air limbah cucian beras (4 jenis), ragi tape (2 jenis), dan kombucha (1 jenis). Dari hasil penelitian ini dipilih 1 jenis Lactobacillus, dan 4 jenis khamir yang dapat hidup dengan baik di dalam air limbah cucian beras dan tidak menimbulkan bau.

Abstract

The use of arbuscular mycorrhizal (MA) in various studies proves that it can save up to 50% fertilizer because the MA can help absorpt nutrients, especially P. In addition, the MA can help plant resistance, pest attacks and can help plants cope with extreme circumstances, such as drought, high salinity, toxic materials and heavy metals. The study aimed to test the potential of arbuscular Mycorrhizal isolates (Glomus geosporum) in cucumbers. The test of its potentials is still in the early stages of laboratory scales due to the limitation of producing the isolates. The test parameters were as follows: the number of leaves, the number of male and female flowers, fruit length, fruit diameters and fruit weights. The results showed that mycorrhizal (Glomus geosporum) being tested + 50% NPK, compared with mycorrhizae from a proven institution + 50% of the recommended NPK fertilizers (NPK 100%), have no significant differences in all parameters. As a result of this, Isolates Glomus geosporum can save less than 50% of the recommended NPK in cucumber crop (Cucumis sativus L.). This therefore has a potential to be field-tested involving other plants. Penggunaan mikoriza arbuskula (MA) dalam berbagai penelitian sudah terbukti dapat menghemat pupuk sampai 50%, karena MA dapat membantu penyerapan unsur hara terutama P. Selain itu,  MA dapat membantu resistensi tanaman, serangan hama penyakit dan dapat membantu tanaman mengatasi keadaan ekstrim, seperti kekeringan, salinitas tinggi, bahan toksik dan logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji potensi isolat Mikoriza arbuskula (Glomusgeosporum) pada tanaman mentimun. Pengujian isolat Mikoriza arbuskula (Glomusgeosporum) masih dalam taraf skala laboratorium, karena keterbatasan isolat yang dihasilkan. Parameter yang diuji adalah jumlah daun, jumlah bunga jantan dan betina, panjang buah, diameter buah, dan bobot buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikoriza (Glomusgeosporum) yang diuji + 50% NPK dibandingkan dengan mikoriza dari suatu institusi yang telah teruji + 50% NPK dan pupuk yang direkomendasikan (NPK 100%), terlihat  tidak berbeda nyata pada semua parameter. Dengan demikian, Isolat Glomusgeosporum dapat menghemat pupuk NPK sampai 50% dari NPK yang dianjurkan pada tanaman Mentimun (Cucumissativus L.), sehingga cukup berpotensi untuk diuji pada skala lapangan bagi tanaman mentimun.

Abstract

Tuberose flower has advantages in color, fragrance, and the flowers are unique pieces. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers and continuously cause an imbalance of nutrients and soil structure, effect on the agricultural land. The use of organic fertilizers can be the solution. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of inoculants are tested on waste water of rice as an organic fertilizer on  tuberose flower. The experiment was conducted for September 2014 to  January 2015. Theexperiment used randomized complete block design (RCBD) with five treatments, ie: inoculant I (3 bacteria and 2 yeast) + inorganic fertilizer 50 %; inoculant I  + inorganic fertilizers 25 % ; inoculant II (2 bacteria and 2 yeast) + inorganic fertilizer 50 % , inoculant II +  inorganic fertilizer 25 %, and inorganic fertilizer 100 %/control (5 g NPK  + 5 g NPS). The parameters observed were flowering time, flower stem length, number of florets per panicle, the diameter of the flower stalk, harvest time, and the amount of harvest. The results showed that gave inoculants on  waste water of rice are non significant for all treatments. From the result inoculant II + inorganic fertilizers 25 % tend to better and benefit than others. Bunga sedap malam memiliki kelebihan pada warna, keharumannya, dan utas bunganya yang unik. Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan dan terus menerus menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan nutrisi dan kesehatan tanah, yang nantinya akan berefek pada lahan dan tanaman. Penggunaan pupuk organik menjadi solusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas inokulan yang teruji pada air limbah cucian beras sebagai pupuk organik pada tanaman sedap malam. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2014 sampai bulan Januari 2015. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan  Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu Inokulan I (3 Bakteri + 2 Khamir) + pupuk anorganik 50%, Inokulan I + pupuk anorganik 25%, Inokulan II (2 Bakteri + 2 Khamir) + pupuk anorganik 50%, Inokulan II + pupuk anorganik 25%, kontrol /pupuk anorganik 100%(5 g NPK  dan 5 g Pupuk Majemuk NPS). Parameter yang diamati adalah waktu berbunga, panjang tangkai bunga, jumlah kuntum per malai, diameter tangkai bunga, waktu panen, dan jumlah panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian inokulan pada air limbah cucian beras tidak memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap semua perlakuan. Dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan Inokulan II + pupuk anorganik 25% cenderung lebih baik dan menguntungkan dari perlakuan lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for smartphone-based wound consultation among patients with wounds. The method used is a qualitative approach through focus group discussions (FGD) involving two groups of participants, namely six wound practitioners and nine wound patients. The results of the study showed that there were four main themes identified from the wound practitioner group, namely: (1) the concept of wound assessment, (2) the implementation of wound assessment, (3) the wound consultation process, and (4) the need for innovation. Meanwhile, the wound patient group identified themes such as: (1) difficulties in accessing information, (2) sources of information, (3) decision making in wound care, and (4) the need for application-based consultation. The conclusion of this study is that both wound practitioners and wound patients need innovation in the form of application-based consultation to facilitate remote consultation, increase access to expert care, and improve patient outcomes. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to evaluate turmeric and betel leaf decoction as drinking water on the performance of broilers. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design. One hundred and sixty broilers aged 15 days were distributed into 5 treatment groups with 4 replications as follows: P0 = drinking water without treatment; P1 = 8 g turmeric and 8 g betel leaf g/L decoction as drining water; P2 = 8 g turmeric and 12 g betel leaf/L decoction as drinking water; P3 = 16 g turmeric and 16 g betel leaf/L decoction as drinking water; P4 = 16 g turmeric and 20 g betel leaf/L decoction. The results of this study indicated that giving turmeric and betel leaf decoction as drinking water had no significantly effect (P> 0.05) on drinking water intake, feed intake, weight, weight gain and feed conversion ratio, while mortality rate on P0, P1 , P2, P3 and P4 were 3.125%, 0%, 0%, 0% and 3.125%, respectively. Income Over Feed Cost for P0, P1, P2, P3 and P4 were Rp 9,885.9, Rp 10,785.0, Rp 11,314.5, Rp 10,625.0 and Rp 9,065.1/bird, respectively. It can be concluded that turmeric and betel leaf decoction up to 16 g turmeric plus 16 g betel leaf/L water as drinking water reduced mortality and increased the Income Over Feed Cost without reducing performance. Key words: betel leaf, broiler chickens, Income over feed cost, mortality rate, performance, turmeric ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi rebusan kunyit dan daun sirih pada berbagai konsentrasi terhadap performa broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Seratus enam puluh ekor broiler umur 15 hari didistribuskan ke dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan sebagai berikut: P0 = Air minum biasa; P1 = Rebusan kunyit 8 g  dan daun sirih 8 g/L air sebagai air minum; P2 = Rebusan kunyit 8 g  dan daun sirih 12 g/L air sebagai air minum; P3 = Rebusan kunyit 16 g  dan daun sirih 16 g/L air sebagai air minum; P4 = Rebusan kunyit 16 g  dan daun sirih 20 g/L air sebagai air minum. Rebusan kunyit dan daun sirih pada konsentrasi yang berbeda tersebut diberikan selama 3 hari setiap minggu. Rebusan kunyit dan daun sirih berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi air minum, konsumsi pakan, berat badan, pertambahan berat badan dan konversi pakan, sementara angka mortalitas pada P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4 masing-masing 3,125%, 0%, 0%, 0% dan 3,125%. Income Over Feed Cost untuk P0, P1, P2, P3 dan P4 masing-masing sebesar Rp 9.885,9, Rp 10.785, Rp 11.314,5, Rp 10.625 dan Rp 9.065,1/ekor. Jadi, air minum berupa rebusan kunyit dan daun sirih sampai dengan konsentrasi 16 g kunyit plus 16 g daun sirih/L air menurunkan angka mortalitas dan meningkatkan Income Over Feed Cost tanpa menurunkan performa broiler. Kata kunci: ayam broiler, daun sirih, income over feed cost, kunyit, mortalitas, performa

Abstract

Center for Scientific Documentation and Information of Indonesian Institute of Sciences has already created a platform system which is intended to facilitate people in accessing and obtaining the scientific information. The institution promotes platform services which enable people to easily find the scientific information required for their research paper. This study aims at analyzing the corporate promotional communication strategies. Researchers use eight effective promotional communication elements which consist of identifying the targeted audience, determining the communication objectives, designing the messages, selecting the channels, budgeting, deciding promotional tools, measuring the results, managing and coordinating the integrated marketing communications. This research is a single case study which data are collected from in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that the promotional communication strategies have already fulfilled seven of eight effective promotion communication elements although it is still not optimal yet. The element which has not been fulfilled is on measuring the promotional results. Cost budgeting is one element which also requires to be optimized more. It would be better if the institution uses objective and task method to clearly define the specific objectives and determine the required tasks to perform in achieving those objectives as well as to estimate costs in performing those tasks. By implementing these methods, it is expected that the short-term and long-term goals may be clearly defined that the goals of the promotional activities may be achieved better. In addition, the team formation focusing on the promotional activities may also become a consideration for the effectively and efficiently integrated marketing and promotional communication.
