Abstract

Massage as a skill has a very long history. Even massage is the oldest activity used by humans to expel fatigue and stress (fussy). At the beginning of its appearance, massage was believed to be one of the best ways to relieve fatigue, stress, muscle stiffness and aches. (Syaukani, 2015). The general purpose of this study was to explore the effect of giving infant massage to the discomfort (fussiness) of infants in PMB S, Kec. Coconut Hut Ex. Duren Sawit East Jakarta 2022. Using an experimental research plan. Experimental research is a research design that is used to find a causal relationship with research involvement. The difference in the level of influence after and before giving baby massage is (0.36). The results of the pre-posttest analysis showed the mean pretest (0.53) and posttest (0.90). In the pretest-posttest sig test, the value obtained is 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant effect on giving massage to the discomfort (fussiness) in infants at PMB S. The average value of the pretest is 0.5333 and the posttest is 0.9000. Giving baby massage has an effect on overcoming discomfort in infants with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. With this thesis, parents understand that massage that is carried out regularly and correctly can have a positive impact on infants and toddlers including babies can sleep more soundly, increase weight, reduce fussiness.

Abstract

Victim-blaming behavior is a key factor contributing to the underreporting of sexual violence cases, including within university settings. This reflects the presence of underlying structural and cultural barriers that require further investigation. This study aims to explore the determinants of victim-blaming attitudes among students in response to sexual violence cases at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Faletehan University, in 2024. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, participants were selected through snowball sampling, and data were collected via in-depth interviews. Thematic analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation used to enhance the credibility of findings. Ethical approval was granted by the Faletehan University Research Ethics Committee. The study involved 30 informants (8 males and 22 females) across a range of ages. Analysis revealed four primary factors associated with victim-blaming behavior: level of knowledge, socio-cultural values and norms, lecturer support, and peer support. While most students demonstrated adequate knowledge of sexual violence, their attitudes remained influenced by patriarchal norms and societal taboos surrounding sexuality. Lecturers generally provided informational support, whereas peers contributed emotional support. These findings underscore the need to strengthen gender equality education and promote open communication on campus as strategies to combat victim-blaming culture and foster a more supportive environment for survivors Keywords: Victim blaming, Sexual violence, Causal factors of victim blaming, University students, Indonesia

Abstract

Complementary feeding is required from 6 months of age to fulfill children's nutritional needs. Inadequate complementary foods both in quantity and quality will have an impact on child growth, one of which is the incidence of stunting. This study aims to determine the relationship between complementary feeding (MP-ASI) and the incidence of stunting in under-fives in Cilowong Village, UPTD Puskesmas Taktakan Working Area in 2023. This type of research uses a quantitative approach where researchers observe subjects without intervening using the questionnaire method. The design used was cross-sectional and all types of measurements were taken at once, the sample used was mothers who had under-five children totaling 100 samples. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the timing of complementary food, type of complementary food, texture of complementary food, frequency of complementary food, and portion of complementary food with the incidence of stunting (p=0.000). There is a significant relationship between the provision of complementary foods and the incidence of stunting.

Abstract

Indonesia is committed to accelerating increased access to treatment in hospitals with quality services. ARV treatment still faces several challenges, such as the level of knowledge of people living with HIV, problems with counseling, assistance, family support, community support, and the number of services available. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the behavior of initiating ARV treatment in people with HIV at RSUD Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara. This type of research is quantitative and has a cross-sectional design. Independent variables are education level, attitude, distance to health services, and family support. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is ARV treatment initiation behavior—the entire population of HIV patients at RSUD Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara in 2023. The total sample was 56 people selected by total sampling. Statistical tests used the Chi-square test with 95% CI and logistic regression tests. The results of statistical tests showed that the variable distance to availability of health services did not have a significant relationship with ARV treatment initiation behavior (p> 0.05), while the variable level of knowledge with p= 0.000, the attitude variable with p=0.009, and the family support variable with p=0.002, which means it has a significant relationship with ARV treatment initiation behavior. The largest OR value is in the knowledge variable OR=12.129.

Abstract

A waste bank is a place for sorting and collecting waste that can be recycled or reused, which has economic value. The waste bank mechanism consists of sorting household waste banks, depositing waste to banks, weighing waste, recording, and transporting collected waste. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and actions regarding waste management in Lebakwana Village, Kramatwatu District, during research time in 2022, with a sample of 57 respondents. Data collection techniques used primary and secondary data; the data analyses were univariate and bivariate analyses. Based on the results of knowledge research with community participation in the waste bank program through Chi-square, the p-value is (1,000) > (0.05). Therefore, the proposed hypothesis (Ha) is not accepted. There is no significant relationship between knowledge and community participation in the waste bank program in Serang City.
