Abstract

Permainan tradisional merupakan permainan turun menurun dari nenek moyang akan tetapi permainan tradisonal sudah tersisihkan dikarenakan di zaman era modern penggunaan teknelogi sangat digunakan untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Teknelogi yang selalu digunakan untuk komunikasi yaitu handphone. Handphone biasanya digunakan oleh anak-anak untuk bermain game online karena anak-anak bisa bermain game online di mana saja dan kapan pun, yang mengakibatkan anak-anak tidak bermain dengan teman sebayanya karena sudah asik dan fokus dengan game online yang ada di handphone. Di zaman era modern anak-anak kurang interaksi sosial di lingkungan sekitar yang mengakibatkan anak-anak memiliki rasa kurang percaya diri, menyendiri, dan pemalu diakibatkan oleh game oline yang ada di handphone dan kurang pembatasan waktu bermain game online oleh orang tua. Cara menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter budaya untuk siswa dengan melalui permainan tradisional karena permainan tradisional dapat membentuk jiwa berkerja sama, gotong royong, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan kajian studi literatur. Peneliti sudah menganalisis permaianan tradisonal bisa memiliki nilai-nilai karakter budaya untuk siswa SD seperti: kemampuan sosial, etika dan moral, kemampuan emosional, dan penguatan identitas budaya.

Abstract

ABTRACT Each school has a different curriculum implementation according to the vision and mission of the school. One of the curricula that are applied at the elementary level is the Montessori curriculum, which in its approach focuses on practical life, sensory, mathematics, language, music, art, and culture. This research was conducted to find out how the implementation of the Montessori curriculum at the public elementary school level compares with private elementary schools. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of the Montessori curriculum at the private elementary school level is much more effective than the implementation of the Montessori curriculum at the public elementary school level. This is evidenced that private elementary schools have facilities and infrastructure that strongly support the implementation of the Montessori curriculum in schools, because the schools receive funds from foundations and parents of students, while elementary schools only rely on funds channeled by the government so that in its implementation, public elementary schools are also less totality or effectiveness.   ABSTRAK Setiap sekolah memiliki penerapan kurikulum yang berbeda sesuai dengan visi dan misi dari sekolah tersebut. Salah satu kurikulum yang diterapkan pada jenjang SD yaitu kurikulum Montessori, yang mana dalam pendekatannya berfokuskan pada practical life, sensorik, matematika, bahasa, musik, artistik, dan budaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui bagaimana perbandingan implementasi kurikulum Montessori pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar negeridengan Sekolah Dasar swasta. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum Montessori pada jenjang Sekolah dasar swasta jauh lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pengimplementasian kurikulum Montessori pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar negeri. Hal tersebut dibuktikan bahwa sekolah dasar swasta memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang sangat mendukung penerapan kurikulum Montessori di sekolah, karena pihak sekolah menerima dana dari yayasan dan orangtua peserta didik, sedangkan Sekolah Dasar hanya mengandalkan dana yang disalurkan oleh pemerintah, sehingga dalam penerapannya pun  Sekolah Dasar negeri kurang totalitas atau efektif.

Abstract

The achievement of science literacy in Indonesia is still low, based on the results of PISA in 2018 Indonesia ranks 75th out of 80 countries in the low category. Science literacy in science learning is expected that students can apply the knowledge they get at school to be used in everyday life so that students can have concern for the surrounding environment. Therefore, it takes a way of learning that can prepare students to have good learning competencies and science and technology literacy, able to think critically or problem solving, creative, communicate, and collaborate or 21st century skills. One approach that includes technology is the STEM approach. So the purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of the STEM approach on improving the science literacy of elementary school students, as well as to determine and analyze the improvement of science literacy of elementary school students using the STEM approach better than students who get learning using a scientific approach. The research method used in the research is the experimental method with the type of quasi-experiment research. The research design used was nonequivalent control group design. The results of the STEM approach research findings have a significant effect on the science literacy skills of elementary school students, which is in the high category with an r square value of 0.823 or 82.3%. The improvement of science literacy skills that get learning with the STEM approach is better than students who get learning with a scientific approach. Learning with the STEM approach gets an N-Gain of 0.62 while scientific learning gets an N-Gain of 0.35, both of which fall into the medium category.   Keywords: elementary school students, science literacy, STEM approach
