Abstract

Modul ajar merupakan bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan untuk acuan dalam memberikan materi selama pembelajaran. Selain itu, modul merupakan penunjang bagi kegiatan pembelajaran. Namun demikian, masih banyak mahasiswa PGSD yang tidak dapat menyusun modul untuk membantu mereka dalam mengajar dan mengembangkan potensi diri. Oleh sebab itu, kegiatan pelatihan penyusunan modul ajar berbasis kurikulum merdeka ini akan memberikan keuntungan bagi mahasiswa PGSD. Sebagai calon pendidik, mahasiswa PGSD akan dapat mengajar baik dengan bahan ajar yang ada serta mampu meningkatkan kualitas keterampilan pendidik, serta siswa mendapatkan materi yang terstruktur dan sistematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode yang  bersifat kualitatif deskriptif, memfokuskan pada pemahaman mendalam terkait kesesuaian modul ajar tugas mahasiswa PGSD dengan karakteristik kurikulum merdeka. Pendampingan modul ajar mahasiswa PGSD ini dapat membantu keberlangsungan belajar bagi peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari modul yang dihasilkan mahasiswa PGSD sudah disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Selain itu, Mahasiswa PGSD juga memiliki bahan ajar yang baik untuk penyampaian materi dan siswa dapat menguasai materi yang diberikan dengan baik.

Abstract

Buku yang berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka memerlukan buku ajar yang berkualitas sehingga dapat mendukung perkembangan dan kemajuan peserta didik untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan isi buku dan penggunaan bahasa pada buku ESPS IPAS untuk SD/MI kelas III yang di tulis oleh Dr. Irene M.J.A., M.Pd. dkk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu mendeskripsikan baik secara ilmiah maupun pemikiran manusia, yang memperhatikan mengenai karakteristik, kualitas, dan keterkaitan terhadap materi yang dikaji, selain itu deskriptif kualitatif tidak melakukan rekayasa penelitian karena mengambarkan suatu kondisi yang apa adanya dengan menggunakan buku. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat delapan observer yang menganalisis mengenai kelayakan isi dan bahasa pada buku ESPS IPAS untuk SD/MI kelas III yang di tulis oleh Dr. Irene M.J.A., M.Pd. dkk. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan menunjukan hasil bahwa buku ini layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena telah memenuhi indikator kelayakan isi dan penggunaan bahasa pada buku.

Abstract

The achievement of science literacy in Indonesia is still low, based on the results of PISA in 2018 Indonesia ranks 75th out of 80 countries in the low category. Science literacy in science learning is expected that students can apply the knowledge they get at school to be used in everyday life so that students can have concern for the surrounding environment. Therefore, it takes a way of learning that can prepare students to have good learning competencies and science and technology literacy, able to think critically or problem solving, creative, communicate, and collaborate or 21st century skills. One approach that includes technology is the STEM approach. So the purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of the STEM approach on improving the science literacy of elementary school students, as well as to determine and analyze the improvement of science literacy of elementary school students using the STEM approach better than students who get learning using a scientific approach. The research method used in the research is the experimental method with the type of quasi-experiment research. The research design used was nonequivalent control group design. The results of the STEM approach research findings have a significant effect on the science literacy skills of elementary school students, which is in the high category with an r square value of 0.823 or 82.3%. The improvement of science literacy skills that get learning with the STEM approach is better than students who get learning with a scientific approach. Learning with the STEM approach gets an N-Gain of 0.62 while scientific learning gets an N-Gain of 0.35, both of which fall into the medium category.   Keywords: elementary school students, science literacy, STEM approach

Abstract

Food waste is a global issue that continues to be discussed. This is because the problem of food waste can have an impact on the environment, health and climate. Through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiative, creating a sustainable community through food waste management is made a top priority. This article discusses the implementation of the Zero Food Waste program at SDN Ekologi Kahuripan Padjajaran using the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot bioconversion approach. This community service was carried out by P3K UPI Purwakarta students who collaborated with TPS 3R Ciseureuh Purwakarta to manage food waste. This service activity is carried out through several stages which include preparation, implementation and evaluation, involving students and their parents in managing organic waste. The results of bioconversion are maggots and organic fertilizer which will be used into products with economic value. This program has succeeded in increasing environmental awareness, reducing food waste, and can create sustainable solutions in managing organic waste. It is hoped that this article can make recommendations for implementing similar methods in other areas as an environmentally friendly waste management model.

Abstract

Learning Natural Science (IPA) class IV A at SDN Palumbosari II is thought to be inadequate due to the lack of student participation and involvement in the learning process, which ultimately results in less than optimal student learning outcomes. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the progress of student and teacher activities and improving optimal student learning outcomes. The Project Based Learning Model is a project or activity based learning model as a medium. Students are assigned to explore, interpret and evaluate information to improve learning outcomes. The research method uses classroom action research methods. Research conducted on class IV A students at SDN Palumbosari II showed improvement after going through two learning cycles. Initially it was thought that the science learning process in class IV A had not been implemented well, the teacher improved it by implementing the Project Based Learning model which made students more active and directly involved in the learning process. From the implementation of this class action, it was concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model in science learning was said to be successful in improving the learning outcomes of class IV A students at SDN Palumbonsari II.

Abstract

Magnet adalah suatu benda yang dapat saling tarik menarik, tolak menolak, dan memiliki dua kutub yaitu kutub utara dan selatan. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ilmiah ini yaitu untuk menganalisis lebih lanjut tentang materi pembelajaran kemagnetan di sekolah dasar kelas 4, 5, dan 6. Serta mengetahui besarnya tingkat kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi kemagnetan yang telah diberikan oleh guru. Kita perlu mengetahui seberapa efektif materi pembelajaran ini terhadap pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini yakni dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang merupakan suatu metode yang bertujuan untuk membuat gambar atau deskriptif tentang suatu keadaan secara objektif yang menggunakan angka, mulai dari pengumpulan data, penafsiran terhadap data tersebut serta penampilan dan hasilnya (Arikunto, 2006). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis mendapatkan beberapa informasi mengenai tingkat kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi kemagnetan.

Abstract

This study was carried out because of awareness of the importance of innovative and creative learning to overcome obstacles to students' understanding and learning outcomes in magnetic material. With the need for more innovative and creative learning strategies, the author wants to compare the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model and the Inquiry learning model on concept mastery and improving student learning outcomes regarding magnetism material. This abstract discusses the comparison of the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PjBL) and Inquiry learning models in mastering concepts and improving student learning outcomes in the context of magnetic material. This research uses the Content Analysis method where the author analyzes several journals which contain two different learning models. The research results show that the two learning models make a positive contribution to students' understanding of concepts and learning outcomes. However, comparative analysis of learning outcomes shows that there is a significant difference between the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model and the Inquiry learning model. The impact of this learning method can help develop more appropriate learning strategies in teaching magnetism material in educational environments. Abstract

Penulis mengangkat topik ini karena urgensi materi tata surya bagi mahasiswa adalah untuk memahami sistem tata surya dan karakteristik seluruh anggota tata surya. Tata surya bersifat teoritis serta abstrak dan siswa harus mampu menjelaskan benda langit dalam tata surya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman mahasiswa PGSD tingkat 1 terhadap materi sistem tata surya. Dengan fokus pada indikator pemahaman, penelitian ini menyoroti sejauh mana pemahaman terhadap konsep-konsep tata surya dan karakteristiknya. Metode kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam hasil dan pembahasan, ditemukan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi tata surya bervariasi. Sebagian mahasiswa mampu menjawab dengan baik terkait konsep rotasi dan revolusi Bumi beserta dampak yang ditimbulkan dari fenomena tersebut, peristiwa terjadinya gerhana matahari, urutan planet, serta hubungan dengan satelit alami planet, sementara beberapa mahasiswa mengalami miskonsepsi terhadap konsep yang mendasar maupun konsep spesifik. Pemahaman ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti pengalaman pendidikan sebelumnya dan tingkat kedalaman pemahaman saat belajar di tingkat sekolah sebelumnya.

Abstract

The project-based learning model encourages students to be able to work independently or in groups in constructing learning by creating real products. There are still many who do not know that it is not only critical thinking skills that can be improved in learning, but there are creative thinking skills that must also be improved and developed properly. Learning by only using the lecture method is less effective in improving students' creative thinking skills. Therefore, the project-based learning model can be one of the learning alternatives with the help of pop up book media as a project that will be made by students, can be a creative, concrete, and interesting learning media when doing teaching and learning activities in class. This research method uses a quasi-experimental method with a type of non-evaquivalent control group design. The population in this study were all grade IV elementary school students in Subang sub-district. The samples in this study were class IV A with 24 students and class IV B with 24 students at SD Negeri Cibogo, Subang Regency. The research analysis used T-test, N-Gain, correlation test, and regression test. There is an influence of the project-based learning model assisted by pop up book media on the creative thinking ability of elementary school students in science subjects, giving an influence on the creative thinking ability of students by 18.5%. based on the results of the N-Gain value in the experimental class of 68%, which means that the use of the project-based learning model assisted by pop up book media is stated in the interpretation of effective enough to be used in improving the creative thinking ability of students.

Abstract

Students' mathematical connection ability is a crucial skill to master. However, research indicates that this ability is still low in elementary schools. Therefore, the researcher is interested in conducting this study to develop an instrument as a measurement tool for students' mathematical connection ability in elementary schools. This research employs a Research & Development (R&D) method with a sample of 44 sixth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. The developed instrument consists of seven essay questions tailored to the indicators of mathematical connection ability. These questions were developed based on expert advice and underwent validity, reliability, difficulty level, and item discrimination tests. The results of this study indicate that three questions can be perfectly used as research instruments, namely questions number 2, 5, and 7, with a validity test result of 0.88 and a reliability test result of 0.93. The difficulty level of all questions is in the medium category. The item discrimination of question 2A is 54.17% (very good), 2B is 37.50% (good), 5A is 83.33% (very good), 5B is 66.67% (very good), 7A is 58.33% (very good), and 7B is 83.33% (very good). Thus, these three questions can serve as an instrument to measure the mathematical connection ability of fifth-grade elementary school students on the topic of plane figures.
