Abstract

This research entitled is Public Relations and Information Management in Managing News on the Website of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (www.uinsu.ac.id) as University Information Media. This research aims to see how Public Relations and Information of UIN North Sumatra manage the website as a medium of information of the University. The theory used is the management theory proposed by George R. Terry. In the stage of analyzing the data, the researcher uses a qualitative methodology with an analysis of the Georige R. Terry model approach in which management consists of Planning (Planing), Organizing (Organizin), Actuating (Actuating), and Supervision (Controlling) or abbreviated as POAC. Based on the findings, the researcher draws conclusions a) In planning, Public Relations and Information create a website to provide information about UINSU. b) At the organizing stage, Public Relations and Information manage the website by creating content and publishing it on the website. c) In the implementation stage, Public Relations and Information of UIN North Sumatra in managing the website is searching, creating and publishing news and releases about activities or related to UIN North Sumatra.

Abstract

Known as khat, or the art of beautiful writing, calligraphy is one type of Islamic art that has gained popularity among Muslims. These beautiful carvings serve as a reminder of God’s existence and a display of beauty. The history of the development of Islamic calligraphy art from the time of Daulah Bani Umayyah to its development in Indonesia is the main topic of the research. The research uses descriptive qualitative analysis, namely the library esearch method. The results of the discussion show that the development of Islamic calligraphy art actually began since the time of the Prophet and Khulafaur Rasyidin, continuing through the Umayyad, Abbasid, and Post-Abbasid periods. During its development, various styles of writing or khat emerged. In Indonesia, the art of Islamic calligraphy has developed through a long journey, involving the Pioneer Force, the Pesantren Force, the Painter and Breaker Force, and the MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an) Cadre Force.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah is one of Indonesia's largest religious organizations and significantly influences people's lives. Muhammadiyah has several AUMs (Muhammadiyah Charity Efforts) to achieve various goals, visions, and missions of Muhammadiyah itself, one of which is Muhammadiyah's educational charity. Muhammadiyah runs its education system following its goals, visions, and missions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of national education policies in the Muhammadiyah environment and identify national education political aspirations in the Muhammadiyah environment. This study uses a qualitative approach to explore the position, strategy, and impact of Muhammadiyah in shaping education policies and to provide a critical review. The study results show that Muhammadiyah significantly influences the direction of education policy through advocacy, curriculum development, and providing education services. In addition, this study also evaluates national education politics in the Muhammadiyah circle and Muhammadiyah's political aspirations, which emphasize inclusivity, quality, and relevance of education. A critical review of Muhammadiyah's political ambitions in Indonesian national education emphasizes the importance of education that is inclusive, tolerant, and relevant to the needs of society. AbstrakMuhammadiyah merupakan salah satu organisasi keagamaan terbesar di Indonesia yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Muhammadiyah memiliki beberapa AUM (Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah) untuk mencapai berbagai tujuan, visi dan misi Muhammadiyah itu sendiri, salah satunya adalah amal usaha pendidikan Muhammadiyah. Muhammadiyah menjalankan sistem pendidikannya sesuai dengan tujuan, visi dan misinya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan kebijakan pendidikan nasional di lingkungan Muhammadiyah, serta mengidentifikasi aspirasi politik pendidikan nasional di lingkungan Muhammadiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis posisi, strategi, dan dampak Muhammadiyah dalam membentuk kebijakan pendidikan, serta memberikan tinjauan kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muhammadiyah memiliki pengaruh besar dalam menentukan arah kebijakan pendidikan melalui advokasi, pengembangan kurikulum, dan penyediaan layanan pendidikan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengevaluasi politik pendidikan nasional dalam lingkaran Muhammadiyah dan aspirasi politik Muhammadiyah yang menekankan pada inklusivitas, kualitas, dan relevansi pendidikan. Tinjauan kritis terhadap aspirasi politik Muhammadiyah dalam pendidikan nasional Indonesia menekankan pentingnya pendidikan yang inklusif, toleran, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat.Kata Kunci: kelompok kepentingan; Muhammadiyah; nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam; politik pendidikan

Abstract

The national education system, according to Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 Tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, is considered not to have undergone in-depth study and ignores various important considerations, resulting in discrimination that is contrary to the principle of justice that the government should uphold. Therefore, the government has attempted to revise the law and improve the legal framework for education in Indonesia to align with society's times and needs. However, the revision failed to enter the Priority Prolegnas in 2023. This study aims to examine the political factors that caused the failure of the revision of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (SISDIKNAS) in 2023. This study uses a qualitative case study approach by analyzing various political dynamics during the revision process. The study results indicate that a combination of internal factors, such as differences of opinion between political parties and factions in the DPR, and external factors, such as pressure from interest groups and community organizations, caused the failure of the revision. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the complexity of the legislative process in Indonesia, as well as its implications for future education reform efforts. AbstrakSistem pendidikan nasional menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional dianggap tidak melalui kajian mendalam dan mengabaikan berbagai pertimbangan penting, sehingga mengakibatkan diskriminasi yang bertentangan dengan prinsip keadilan yang seharusnya dijunjung tinggi oleh pemerintah. Oleh kerena itu pemerintah telah mengupayakan revisi terhadap undang-undang dan menyempurnakan kerangka hukum pendidikan di Indonesia agar lebih sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dan kebutuhan masyarakat, namun revisi tersebut gagal masuk Prolegnas Prioritas tahun 2023. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor politik yang menyebabkan kegagalan revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional (SISDIKNAS) pada tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan menganalisis berbagai dinamika politik yang terjadi selama proses revisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegagalan revisi disebabkan oleh kombinasi faktor internal, seperti perbedaan pandangan antara partai politik dan fraksi di DPR, serta faktor eksternal seperti tekanan dari kelompok kepentingan dan organisasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai kompleksitas proses legislasi di Indonesia, serta implikasinya bagi upaya reformasi pendidikan di masa depan.Kata Kunci: pendidikan; proses legislative; review politik

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai peran kelompok kepentingan dalam pendidikan Nasional Indonesia.Tinjauan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mengarah pada aspirasi politik pengurus besar PGRI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. Adapun hasil dan kesimpulan dari penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui jika Kebijakan politik PGRI terkait dengan pendidikan, seperti: Memberikan Masukan untuk Peta Jalan Pendidikan: Unifah Rosyidi hadir untuk memberikan masukan PGRI terkait dengan peta jalan pendidikan, menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif dalam memberikan kontribusi dan solusi terhadap isu-isu pendidikan di Indonesia.
