Abstract

This research study explores the effect of promotion practices, training initiatives, and leadership style on employee career development in a start-up company. The study employs a mixed-methods research design, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, to gather comprehensive data. The findings from the quantitative analysis indicate a positive correlation between promotion opportunities and employee career advancement, as well as a positive relationship between the effectiveness of training programs and perceived skill development. The qualitative analysis reveals the importance of supportive and empowering leadership behaviors and the impact of specific training initiatives on employee career growth. The integration of quantitative and qualitative findings provides a holistic understanding of the factors influencing employee career development in start-up companies. The implications of the study contribute to theoretical knowledge and offer practical recommendations for start-up companies to optimize promotion practices, training initiatives, and leadership styles to support employee career development.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengulas upaya peningkatan pengetahuan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) mengenai pentingnya kepuasan pelanggan dalam konteks operasional Toko Risols AH. Fokus utama Pengabdian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendekatan yang diambil untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan pelaku UMKM tentang hubungan antara kepuasan pelanggan dan keberhasilan bisnis. Metode Pengabdian melibatkan survei pendapat, pelatihan interaktif, serta analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Melalui pendekatan pemberian pelatihan dan penyuluhan, Pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan pelaku UMKM Toko Risols AH tentang pentingnya memahami dan memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Survei menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan, pelaku UMKM lebih mampu mengidentifikasi preferensi pelanggan, mengukur kualitas pelayanan, serta merencanakan strategi perbaikan. Hasil Pengabdian ini memberi wawasan tentang betapa krusialnya pemahaman tentang kepuasan pelanggan dalam mengelola usaha UMKM. Pengalaman dari Toko Risols AH memberikan ilustrasi konkret tentang bagaimana pendekatan pelatihan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis dan pelayanan yang lebih baik kepada pelanggan.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology and the internet, the use of social media has been rampant in various walks of life. Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others have become important platforms for sharing information, including news about civil engineering projects. The increasing number of social media users has had a significant impact on the way people understand and respond to these projects. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of social media on public perception of civil engineering projects. The method used is a qualitative literature review that focuses on an in-depth understanding of the topic in the time span from 2004 to 2023. The main objective of this method is to identify, analyse, and synthesise relevant scientific literature that has been published in various journals, conference papers, and other academic sources accessible through Google Scholar. The study results show that the impact of social media on public perception of civil engineering projects is a significant phenomenon in today's digital age. Social media influences the way the public perceives, participates and responds to these projects.

Abstract

Sustainable business practices have become paramount in the contemporary global economy, urging companies to balance financial prosperity with environmental responsibility. In this context, the energy industry in West Java, Indonesia, serves as a compelling case study due to its significance in the region's economic development and its simultaneous environmental challenges. This research employs a qualitative case study approach to investigate the complex interplay between environmental and financial management within the West Java energy sector. Through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and surveys, the study assesses environmental management practices, financial performance, and sustainable business models. The findings reveal a growing commitment to clean technologies, emissions reduction, and transparency among energy companies. Moreover, sustainable energy businesses exhibit competitive profitability, risk mitigation capabilities, and improved access to capital. Successful business models emphasize the integration of environmental and financial objectives and the importance of stakeholder engagement. These findings underscore the significance of aligning environmental and financial management for sustainable business in the energy industry and offer valuable insights for policymakers and industry practitioners seeking to navigate the intricate terrain of sustainability.
