Abstract

Because the capacity of natural or man-made channels can no longer support the flow of incoming rains, inundation may happen. Nearly every puddle in Cempaka District, with an average height of 20 cm and an inundation time of 6 hours or until the rain stops, is in a residential area, a rice field, or a plantation, according to the final report of the 2021 Banjarbaru City Environmental Road Drainage Masterplan. The goal of this plan is to study the anticipated flood flow, assess the drainage channel's capacity, suggest infiltration well proportions, and create a three-dimensional layout of the infiltration wells. With maximum daily rainfall data for 10 years (2012-2021), hydrological and hydraulic analysis was conducted for this design. According to the findings of the anticipated flood discharge calculation, segment 1 will experience a minimum discharge of 0.06 m3/s and a maximum discharge of 0.19 m3/s. This planning makes use of the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) software, which enables modeling of the field's current drainage conditions by adding metrics collected under real circumstances. It is advised to include infiltration wells with a 1 m diameter and a 3 m well depth. To avoid flooding, infiltration wells will be installed to each section to lessen the projected flood flow that will enter the drainage canal and reach the water body.

Abstract

Erosi adalah peristiwa perpindahan atau terangkutnya tanah atau bagian-bagian tanah dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain oleh media alami. Pada peristiwa erosi, tanah atau bagian-bagian tanah pada suatu tempat terkikis dan terangkut yang kemudian diendapkan di tempat lain. Erosi mengakibatkan sebagian besar lapisan tanah hilang, besarnya erosi yang terjadi juga menunjukkan betapa kritisnya tanah tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi serta tingkat laju erosi tanah pada Sub-Sub DAS Riam Kanan terutama di wilayah Rantau Balai pada tahun 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa model Equation of Revised Universal Soil Loss (RUSLE) dengan data yang diolah menggunakan javascript pada platform Google Earth Engine. Metode RUSLE dapat memberikan hasil kehilangan tanah yang signifikan dalam menganalisis aliran permukaan. Persamaan RUSLE yang digunakan menggunakan faktor erosivitas hujan (R), faktor erodibilitas tanah (K), faktor Panjang dan kemiringan lereng (S), faktor pengelolaan tanaman (C), serta faktor tindakan konservasi (P). Hasil analisis rata-rata laju erosi yaitu sebesar 6,0849 Ton/Ha/Tahun dikategorikan sebagai erosi kelas sangat ringan. Metode analisis spasial menggunakan model RUSLE dan Google Earth Engine terbukti efektif dalam memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang potensi erosi tanah di wilayah studi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana suatu komponen atau parameter lingkungan akan berubah akibat adanya aktivitas pelaksanaan peningkatan ruas jalan sehingga dapat dilakukan pencegahan untuk meminimalisasi dampak yang ditimbulkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi dampak yang terjadi akibat pembangunan ruas Jalan Pingaran Kabupaten Banjar dan peran institusi dalam pengelolaan dan pemantauan lingkungan serta mengetahui nilai tingkat kebisingan pada lokasi rencana proyek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang disajikan berdasarkan analisis data yang bersifat induktif berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ditemukan dari hasil pengumpulan data dan pengambilan sampel. Metode prakiraan dampak yang dipakai adalah pendekatan yang bersifat formal maupun non formal dengan menggunakan kriteria atau standar baku mutu lingkungan yang ada. Dampak yang ditimbulkan maupun yang akan terjadi baik bersifat positif maupun negatif akibat dari proyek peningkatan ruas jalan diidentifikasikan berdasarkan pengumpulan informasi dengan penilian mulai dari pra konstruksi, konstruksi, dan pasca konstruksi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pada kondisi eksisting rencana peningkatan ruas jalan didapatkan kebisingan dengan nilai sebesar 51 dB yang mana masih memenuhi batas maksimum berdasarkan Pergub Kalsel Nomor 53 Tahun 2007 bagian Lampiran II Baku Mutu Kebisingan dan penilaian kondisi lingkungan berdasarkan PP No. 22 Tahun 2021 yang masih terkendali. Komponen lingkungan hidup yang terkena dampak dari pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi peningkatan jalan ini mencakup komponen lingkungan geofisik kimia, biologi, sosial ekonomi dan budaya, serta kesehatan Masyarakat.

Abstract

Swamp land in Terantang Village, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan has the potential to be utilized if managed optimally. Sour swamp land needs to be managed by the reclamation process. However, the high accumulation of toxic iron (Fe) becomes an obstacle in optimizing the reclamation process. The two-way flow system with the help of tidal ponds in the reclamation channel used still needs further evaluation to find out how effective the washing of toxic materials is. The main factors that influence the most are tidal events and partial pond function. The use of Environmental Fluids Dynamic Code (EFDC) software with simulation based on the data obtained is estimated to be able to solve the existing problems. This research was conducted in primary, secondary and tertiary reclamation channels with several stages. The first stage is to identify the hydrodynamic conditions and water quality in the Terantang unit reclamation channel. The second stage is the preparation and testing of the model. The second stage is the preparation and testing of the model. The last stage is model simulation on flow pattern, water age, accumulation of iron (Fe) concentration and accumulation of TSS concentration in 3 scenarios. The scenarios consist of simulating the hydrodynamic aspects of current movement and water age and 2 simulation scenarios of the water quality aspect on the accumulation of iron (Fe) concentration and TSS concentration by paying attention to the partition coefficient and without the partition coefficient. Simulations were carried out using the primary, secondary and 5 tertiary channel representative model data. The simulation results show that the application of channel tidal forces and partial pool utilization is still not running well. This happened based on the simulation results on the hydrodynamic and water quality aspects, showing that the water washing process still reached 60% with the water age reaching 3 days. The tidal force of the water is not able to reach the end of the channel and the tide pattern has not yet reached the end of the channel but has receded.

Abstract

Steady promotion on water, sanitation, and hygiene to achieve the target of Universal Access 2019 becomes a priority of Ambon local government. Various programs have been executed including the construction of public toilet and and communal waste water treatment plant (WWTP). Despite these efforts, open defecation is frequently practiced particularly in remote areas. Inquiries on the areas which can be classified as the most high-risk areas regarding with open defecation have been conducted which include Passo village in Teluk Ambon Bagualasub-district as one of these areas. It is presumed that 831 families (26.64%) in Passo Village are still practicing it. This study aimed to determine the social and technical aspects related to the practice of open defecation in Paso village. Data collections were conducted through observation, interview, and questionnaire. Based on the analysis, the social aspects that affect to performance of Open Defecation Free (ODF) was mainly due to the low capacity of local communities in building latrines, while their consciousness and attitude upon sanitation were poor. As for the technical aspects, water shortages became the primary factor for the absence of toilet, in addition to the limited area to construct it. Communal toilet turns out to be a resolution for this problem.

Abstract

Endeavors toward Universal Target of 2019 dealing with water and sanitation are not merely the responsibility of central and local government, since community is both the subject and object of the target achievement. One of the main obstacles in accomplishing this target is the practice of open defection in a number of areas in Indonesia. This study was aimed to assess Open Defecation Free (ODF) in the environment applying the off-site sanitation system. The study was conducted in Kelayan Tengah village, Banjarmasin, consisting of 232 households in which 117 of them are still practicing open defecation (OD). The study was commenced by reviewing relevant literatures, conducting field survey (questionnaire and interview), and analyzing the data by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The analysis included the assessment of technical aspect, social cultural aspect, and institution aspect. Questionnaire was fulfilled by 75 respondents, while AHP involved 5 respondents. Action Plans of open defecation free in Kelayan Tengah village encompassed the establishment of Waste Water Treatment Plan (WWTP) in Elementary school of Kelayan Tengah village to design 117 house connections out of 232 house, the organization of community and public discussion with theme of proper sanitation, and the improvement of coordination of sanitation working group. Action Plans to achieve Open Defecation Free in Kelayan Tengah village, Banjarmasin encompassed the possibility of using Kelayan Tengah 2 Elementary School as the site to establish waste water treatment plant (WWTP) to provide the toilet access for 117 houses which cannot afford the appropriate ones; the effort to disseminate the importance of toilet and to organize public discussion with theme of proper sanitation; the improvement of coordination among sanitation working groups to maintain open defecation free and agencies that play a role in this issue, as well the promotion to conduct fund collaboration between public and government for the purpose of ODT.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Management and control of an air pollution is needed for the impact of air pollution is not very severe. The cement industry is one of the industries that uses high temperature heating in the production process. Mass balance calculations are needed to see the amount of material entering and leaving a process, based on the law of conservation of mass, that is, the amount of mass that enters is equal to the amount of mass that leaves. One source of immovable emissions is the chimney. Evaluation of the chimney dimensions is also carried out so that it can be a reference in the optimal exhaust gas velocity. Things to consider in analyzing an air quality using an analysis of the pollutant dispersion model. An application that can be used to predict the distribution of pollutants is AERMOD. The total mass entering the Suspension Preheater is 748,682.78 kg/hour. with a total mass output of 157,506,6898 kg/hour and a total mass loss of 591,176.09 kg/hour; Based on calculations to plan the volume and dimensions of the chimney by taking into account the conditions around the source point, the height of the chimney is 72 meters and 65 meters. With exhaust gas velocity is 20 m/s and 21 m/s, respectively; Based on the distribution pattern with a period of 24 hours, it is known that the concentration of TSP, SO2, and NO2 in the air when the receiving point is at an altitude of 1.5 meters from the ground surface has a maximum concentration of TSP, SO2, and NO2 respectively of 8,323 g/ m3, 36,171 g/m3, and 38,307 g/m3. While the difference between the simulated and in the field is better with a chimney height of 72 meters in order to maximize emission distribution compared to a chimney height of 65 meters.

Abstract

Domestic wastewater in Plajau Indah Housing has not been appropriately managed. The gray water is discharged directly into the drainage without processing, and the black water is managed through septic tanks that are not up to standard. Further treatment is required after passing through the septic tank unit so that the effluent discharged does not contaminate groundwater. This final project aims to plan a domestic wastewater distribution and treatment system at Plajau Indah Housing with effluent quality referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia number 68 of 2016 concerning domestic wastewater quality standards. This planning method includes licensing, literature study, primary data collection from direct field surveys, secondary data collection from relevant agencies, planning domestic wastewater distribution and treatment systems, designing domestic wastewater distribution and treatment units, and analyzing data results. The domestic wastewater distribution system uses a shallow sewerage system with centralized WWTP management (off-site) divided into 19 service blocks. The pipe diameters used in this design are 100 mm, 150 mm, and 200 mm. The average wastewater discharge in Plajau Indah Housing is 203.94 m3/day. The WWTP plans to use an aerobic-anaerobic combination, namely the Anaerobic Baffled Reactor with 5 compartments, 1 settling basin, and a modified trickling filter. The dimensions of the whole ABR tub are 30 m x 8 m x 2 m; the dimensions of the trickling filter from the results obtained are 3 m x 8 m x 2 m.
