Abstract

According to the Ministry of Social Affairs, “Street children are child who spends most of his time to perform activities of daily living on the streets, either for a living or wandering the streets and other public places. street children discrete, aged between 5 to 18 years, doing activities or roaming the streets, mostly dull appearance neglected and clothes, high mobility”. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method has the meaning that the writer will explain the result of analysis in the form of words and sentence since the result is not numeral data. Roberts (1999: 45). The findings of this study show that, Dina, Adib, and Cindy are three children born to either of whose womb but must live together as one under the auspices of the squeeze sweat every day. They are aware of life lived unworthy, they want to continue to reach the goal to be the school that no longer roam the streets despite slur, should blow them feel. Three of them continue to hold up, continue to live life, keep fighting, keep trying, because they believe the struggle is far better than having to die despite sore vain.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development of interactive media for learning about environmental pollution and to test how suitable the media is as a learning tool. The methodology used in this study is research and development, which consists of four stages, namely: (1) identification of potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, and (4) design validation. The data collection technique used in this study is a questionnaire distributed to four validators, consisting of two supervising lecturers and two experts to assess the feasibility of the learning interactive media related to the theme of environmental pollution that has been developed. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) the design of the learning interactive media related to environmental pollution consists of devices such as an infocus, laptop, and Compact Disc. (2) The development of learning interactive media about environmental pollution, based on the results of the feasibility test and recommendations from expert validators on the questionnaire is declared suitable for use as a biology learning interactive media with very high criteria.

Abstract

Pelatihan Water Rescue bagi para atlet Arung jeram di sungai alas Kabupaten Aceh Tenggara, Provinsi Aceh. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan pelaksanaan Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi yaitu Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga Universitas Gunung Leuser Kutacane, Dosen Pendidikan Jasmani Olahraga dan Kesehatan Universitas Abulyatama Aceh dan Mahasiswa Pendidikan kepelatihan olahraga Universitas Gunung Leuser Kutacane yang mendapat dukungan penuh dari Komite Olahraga Nasional (KONI) dan Pengprov Federasi Arung Jeram Indonesia (FAJI)  Provinsi Aceh. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang program pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan persiapan siaga bencana sebagai petugas penyelamat terdiri dari kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki (Renang, mengetahui alat bantu dan cara penggunaan)  faktor  yang  mempengaruhi kecelakaan  air,  bahaya  yang  dapat  timbul  pada  kawasan  wisata  air,  sarana  prasarana  yang dibutuhkan  untuk  melakukan  pertolongan  air,  pelaksanaan  pertologan  air,  teknik  melakukan rescue  air,  isyarat  darurat serta kemampuan penolongan dibutuhkan pada saat bencana alam terjadi khususnya bencana banjir.Tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan melalui empat langkah. Langkah ini dijadikan panduan dalam pelaksanaan program. Tahap perancangan program dilakukan dengan diskusi  yang  melibatkan  beberapa  orang  ahli  akademis  dan  ahli  praktiksi.  Pada  tahap perencanaan  dilakuka  kajian  mengenai  materi  yang  tepat  diberikan,  bentuk  kegiatan,  sasaran kegiatan dan target kegiatan. Tersedianya SDM yang memiliki keahlian rescue water sport memberi efek kepercayaan pengunjung kawasan wisata arung jeram dan tanggap bencana di berbagai Kabupaten/Kota di Aceh  yang dapat berdampak pada meningkatnya pengunjung di kawasan wisata arung jeram dan resiko saat penyelamatan bencana. Pelatihan rescue water  sport baiknya dilakukan berulang secara berkala guna terus memberi pengetahuan kelompok sadarwisata.
