Reality is essentially a social construction created by humans. Miss Universe is the biggest and oldest beauty contest platform in the world that reconstructs beauty in it. This study seeks to analyze the social construction of the meaning and symbol of beauty in the Miss Universe 2019 final show. The research approach is qualitative by collecting data in the form of documentation of the Miss Universe 2019 final show and the official website of Miss Universe. The data obtained were analyzed by semiotics using the Charles Sanders Peirce approach. The results obtained show that the construction of a beautiful woman to be slim, tall, white, and with long hair is not always proven. This is evidenced by the victory of Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa at Miss Universe 2019. The 2019 Miss Universe final proves that beautiful women are not always seen from the physical construction of society, but the advocacy they do is also a determinant of what she deserves to be called a universally beautiful woman.

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 case in 2020 in Indonesia, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN & RB) made adjustments to the Work System of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Efforts to Prevent the Spread of the Covid-19 Virus in Government Area. In this policy, it will affect all lines of society in carrying out daily activities. It is undeniable that this policy has an impact on the education sector in Indonesia. The policy implemented is the holding of learning activities through the network (online) ranging from students to teachers due to social restrictions. The Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia issued Circular No. 4 of 2020 on the second point regarding the Implementation of Educational Policies during the Covid-19 Pandemic. But in practice there are some parties who may try to adapt to this new habit. Especially in the online teaching and learning process. Hereby the author raises about the effectiveness of Interpesona communication in the implementation of online lectures at the Faculty of Communication and Language, Bina Sarana Informatika University. The theories used in this research are interpersonal communication, digital communication, and new media. The research method used in this research is descriptive and explanatory method with a quantitative approach. After getting data from the results of the grouping of scores, it can be concluded that the respondents assessed that interpersonal communication occurred and was carried out effectively during online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government has planned and submitted the RKUHP to the DPR, but the RKUHP has sparked a polemic. According to an article published by the online media Kumparan. The meeting between Commission III of the DPR RI and the Government represented by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, discussed the Draft Criminal Code (RKUHP) whose ratification has been delayed since September 2019. What has become a polemic again is that there is an article that discusses the criminalization of Lesbians. , Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT). Based on the background of the problem, the researcher conducted an analysis in the online media Tempo.co and BBCIndonesia.com.The purpose of this study was to find out how the online media Tempo.co and BBCIndonesia in framing a news report on the issue of the LGBT RKUHP. The research approach uses qualitative research methods with framing analysis methods. The researcher uses an analytical method with the Robert N. Entman model, with four stages in framing a news, namely: Define Problems (defining the problem), Diagnoses Causes (estimating the problem), Make Moral Judgment (making moral decisions), and Treatment Recommendation (emphasizing the solution).The results of the research show that Tempo.co is more neutral in responding to this news issue by presenting sources who explain in detail the articles in question, while BBCIndonesia.com shows a contra stance against the RKHUP on the criminal offense of obscenity by presenting sources who oppose and feel criminalized by the existence of the article.

ABSTRACT People's preferences for policing can vary significantly depending on the individual, culture, and political context of a country or region. In this research, Kaesang Pangareb as a young man who is a public figure entered the world of politics to become a candidate for mayor of Depok, and in his activities used various content on his social media as his strength to improve his image and win the favor of the Indonesian people. The Depok community's preference for Kaesang which is considered to have creativity and innovation is really needed for the progress of the city of Depok. The purpose of this research is to see facts or phenomena regarding the preferences (tendencies) of Depok residents to support Kaesang Pangareb moving forward in the world of politics and running for Mayor of Depok, and to see what aspects of Depok residents' preferences regarding the decision to support Kaesang Pangareb as Candidate for Mayor of Depok. The research uses qualitative research methods using the phenomenological tradition, using primary and secondary data, namely interviews, and also literature. And the analysis used uses Schultz's Politainment theory. The research results state that Kaesang's indirect involvement in every Jokowi activity is an indication of politainment, where the documentation and captions provided are packaged dramatically in the form of entertainment that focuses on politics so that it attracts public attention. ABSTRAK Preferensi masyarakat terhadap politainment bisa bervariasi secara signifikan bergantung pada individu, budaya, dan konteks politik di suatu negara atau wilayah. Pada penelitian ini, Kaesang Pangareb sebagai seorang anak muda yang merupakan tokoh publk merambah ke dunia politik untuk menjadikan calon walikota Depok, dan dalam kegiatannya menggunakan berbagai konten di dalam media sosialnya sebagai kekuatannya untuk meningkatkan citra dirinya dan mendapatkan hati dimata masyarakat Indonesia. Preferensi masyarakat Depok terhadap Kaesang yang dianggap memiliki keativitas dan inovasi sangatlah dibutuhkan untuk kemajuan kota Depok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah ingin melihat fakta atau fenomena mengenai preferensi (kecenderungan) warga Depok mendukung Kaesang Pangareb melangkah maju dalam dunia perpolitikan dan mencalonkan diri menjadi Walikota Depok, dan ingin melihat aspek apa saja preferensi warga Depok terhadap keputusan mendukung Kaesang Pangareb sebagai Calon Walikota Depok. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan tradisi fenomenologi, dengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder, yaitu wawancara, dan juga kepustakaan. Serta analisis yang digunakan menggunakan teori Politainment dari Schultz. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa keterlibatan secara tidak langsung Kaesang terhadap setiap kegiatan Jokowi merupakan indikasi politainment, dimana dokumentasi dan caption yang diberikan dikemas secara dramatis dalam bentuk hiburan yang berfokus pada politik sehingga menarik perhatian publik.
