Abstract

A language certainly has a relationship with other languages, even though they are related, there will definitely be differences in vocabulary, grammar, and so on. The aim of this research is to determine the percentage of kinship and separation time between Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese from their parent languages. The data source comes from informants who are native speakers of Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese using 200 Swadesh vocabulary. Collecting data using basic listening techniques, skillful listening, recording and note-taking techniques. The results show that Serang Javanese and Surabaya Javanese are at the same language level as seen from the percentage obtained, namely 83%, so both are included in dialects. This kinship can be seen from the similarity of 130 identical vocabularies and 36 sound correspondences. These two languages separated 347—428 or around 1,676 to 1,595 years ago starting from the time this research was conducted, namely in 2023.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze research trends and themes related to coastal poverty, focusing on identifying dominant topics, shifts in research priorities, and existing knowledge gaps within the field. The novelty of this study lies in its longitudinal bibliometric approach, covering the period from 1949 to 2025, which provides a holistic understanding of how the discourse on coastal poverty has evolved over more than seven decades—an approach rarely explored in previous research. This study contributes to academic discussions by mapping the intellectual structure of coastal poverty studies, identifying areas for interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting the formulation of future research agendas aligned with global sustainability goals. The research employs a bibliometric analysis using secondary data retrieved from the Scopus database, which were processed and visualized through VOS viewer software to analyze keyword co-occurrence, thematic clusters, and temporal research trends. The findings reveal that dominant themes in coastal poverty research include climate change, poverty, coastal areas, and sustainable development, with recent shifts toward food security, social vulnerability, and multidimensional poverty impacts. The study concludes that, despite the growing body of research, significant gaps remain in addressing issues of empowerment, equity, income, gender, and healthcare. Strengthening collaboration among researchers and institutions is crucial for promoting inclusive and sustainable development of coastal communities. Keywords: Coastal Poverty, Bibliometrics, Climate Change, Sustainable        Development

Abstract

Saung Mangrove Ecotourism in Tengket Village, Arosbaya District, Bangkalan Regency has considerable potential as a conservation-based tourism destination. However, it has not yet been supported by distinctive local souvenirs or tourism attractions that actively engage the local community. This community service program was conducted to introduce the ecoprint technique to the Tengket Berdaya Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) as an alternative for developing creative economy products based on local vegetation. The program employed a Participatory Action Approach (PAA) comprising socialisation, training, hands-on practice, monitoring, and evaluation. Program effectiveness was assessed through pre-test and post-test instruments, while participants' practical skills were evaluated through direct observation during the training sessions. The results showed that the participants' average score increased from 66.0 to 96.7 after the training. In addition, participants successfully produced various ecoprint products using local vegetation, demonstrating their potential as distinctive souvenirs for Saung Mangrove Ecotourism. The training also created opportunities to develop experience-based tourism activities while strengthening community-based creative economic initiatives.
