Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of the Ponorogo district government in carrying out various efforts to promote or compare Ponorogo culture as a tourist attraction strategy. Therefore to organize an event, event management is needed. This research method uses the library research method, namely research that collects information and data with the help of various materials available on the internet and libraries, such as reference books, previous similar research results, articles, notes, and various journals. The results of this study discuss cultural events that have been held by the Ponorogo district government. In making a cultural event, the organizer also goes through several stages of event management as proposed by Goldblett (2002), namely from the research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation stages.

Abstract

Technological changes that are increasingly developing cause different services and facilities in the field of information and communication technology. Youtuber is part of the content creator as a profession that requires creativity with several skills. Another definition refers to the content of content creators who call themselves YouTubers, this happens because the label has a meaning that is considered a profession. This is one of the global professions of creative workers, who can produce monetized content as a form of income earned through the creativity of content creators. This is what most of the general public, especially millennials, interpret about the YouTuber profession. This study uses library research, where researchers use library research methods. The main differences between library research and field research lie in the purpose, function and/or location of library research in each of these studies. In library research, library research is more than just a service function such as: As a first step in preparing a research framework and/or proposal to obtain similar research information. This study aims to determine the change of profession as a YouTuber in the existing community. Thus, based on the results of the discussion, it is found that youtubers as content creators are influenced by many factors, namely ideas, the accuracy of the selection of shooting equipment, and the ability to master the material.

Abstract

Reyog Ponorogo is an artwork with a rich history and folklore, as well as a particular visual narrative that is worth studying through the lens of visual data studies. Reyog performers offer significant meanings via the visuals of their performance as well as the ideology of Ponoragan Javanese culture. The purpose of this project is to convert oral myths into visual signals in Reyog performances using visual data. Using W.J.T. Mitchell's "Picture Theory" method, this research investigates the complicated interplay between pictures and text, introducing the idea of "imagetext" as one manifestation of this interaction. The method used is a prompt-based descriptive approach in which keywords are entered to instruct the artificial intelligence (AI) system to translate the command into a visual form, as well as a re-representation technique based on "picture words" in an effort to create images with narratives rooted in Reyog Ponorogo mythology. This study included two AI systems: Leonardo AI and Midjourney. The study found that the AI system is not entirely capable of understanding local regional languages, leading to plot discrepancies between pictures in the same story series. Nonetheless, this technique adds a new dimension to visual communication technology, particularly in the delivery of visual messages using AI.

Abstract

Reyog is one of the traditional arts that shows a richness of Indonesian culture. This art is unique and interesting to be realized in the form of visual works and meaningful, especially the art of photography. Photography has an important role as a medium for delivering information in the form of images, moreover images are a universal language. This research uses the method of creation with stages, namely observation, exploration, selection, and correction as well as analysis and presentation of data in order to uncover the phenomena that occur in Reyog Ponorogo. The results of this study indicate that 1) the shooting of an essay about performance of reyog obyogan Ponorogo's typical requires adequate photographic technical mastery; 2) the use of digital processing can support the visualization of photos essays of reyog obyogan; and 3) the mastery of technical shooting and digital processing is able to portray the characteristics of the reyog obyogan that are distinctive and full of traditional aesthetic values.

Abstract

Ponorogo adalah salah satu kota di ujung barat Propinsi Jawa Timur yang mempunyai kesenian khas yaitu Reyog Ponorogo. Kesenian ini merupakan salah satu kekayaan kesenian nasional yang menjadi aset bangsa dalam kekayaan budaya dunia. Reyog sendiri ibaratnya sudah mendarah daging dan menyatu dalam kehidupan sosial di masyarakat Ponorogo. Hal ini tercermin dari banyaknya jumlah even yang diselenggarakan baik dalam tingkat desa, kecamatan maupun tingkat nasional. Kebanggan akan kesenian ini diwujudakan dalam berbagai bentuk, salah satunya adalah bangunan yang bersifat publik atau lebih tepatnya landmark yang menjadi ciri khas dan identitas kota ini. Jika kita perhatikan lebih jauh, bangunan publik berupa gerbang masuk kabupaten Ponorogo dari empat penjuru mempunyai perbedaan jika dibandingkan dengan beberapa bangunan yang mempunyai cirikhas atau yang berkaitan langsung dengan reyog itu sendiri. Begitu pula dengan beberapa gapura masuk perkampungan penduduk yang berbeda dari pusat kota. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkap makna yang terkandung dalam setiap bangunan yang bercirikan reyog dan berusaha menemukan proses interaksi simbolik yang terjadi antar bangunan tersebut dilihat dari sudut pandang ilmu komunikasi. ”Mind, Self and Society dari Mead dalam interaksi simbolik ini merupakan teori dasar yang menjadi pegangan dalam menganalisa fenomena yang ada di Ponorogo ini. Pentingnya makna bagi perilaku manusia, pentingnya konsep mengenai diri, hubungan antara individu dengan masyarakat merupakan konsep dasar bangunan-bangunan yang mencirikan sebuah kondisi sosial masyarakat yang hadir pada jaman tersebut.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitiatif dimana data yang diambil dengan tekhnik snowball sampling.Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Kabupaten Ponorogo dibangun atas empat era yang berbeda dalam sudut pandang memaknai kesenian reyog ini sebagai identitas dan kebanggan Ponorogo sebagai kota reyog. Politik, ekonomi, pendidikan berpengaruh terhadap daya cipta, rasa, dan karsa dalam pembentukan fasilitas publik berupa tugu atau gerbang (landmark). Kondisi sosial yang dipengaruhi oleh kelompok masyarakat yang dominan turut menyumbang keragaman dalam pembentukan identitas di kota ini.

Abstract

Perbedaan-perbedaan dalam format pertunjukkan, perangkat yang dipakai, motivasi dalam pertunjukkan, interkasi dengan penonton, interkasi dengan pemain lain dan improvisasi dalam pementasan secara tidak langsung menimbulkan sebuah gaya dan karakteristik dalam komunikasi yang pada akhirnya membentuk karakter masing-masing pertunjukkan.Kekuatan dalam memegang idelogi atau kepercayaan terhadap seni Reyog yang berbeda inilah  yang selanjutnya menjadi sebuah karakteristik dalam proses komunikasi yang bisa kita jumpai dalam setiap pementasan baik dalam format Reyog obyog maupun Reyog dalam versi festival atau panggung. Hal inilah yang menyebabkan dalam setiap pertunjukan reyog baik dalam format obyog atau dalam versi festival selalu mempunyai ciri khas dan keunikan sendiri-sendiri dalam setiap pementasan. Dalam setiap pementasan yang berlangsung, secara langsung akan memproduksi simbol-simbol tertentu yang membuat atau mengajak penonton untuk saling berkomunikasi. Lebih detil dan terlihat perbedaan dapat dilihat dari perbandingan foto-foto pementasan Reyog obyogan dan Reyog dalam format festival. dalam menjelaskan fenomena ini, penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif dari Edward Hall yang mengkategorisasikan budaya berdasarkan high / low culture context.

Abstract

Pop culture is often associated with a community environment with certain characteristics such as beliefs, rituals, performances, form shows, lifestyle patterns, symbols, language, dress, music, dance, and various models form of human expression, intellectual, and how to communicate in a order a certain time.In Reyog Obyogan performances, pop culture can we find is the traditional musical accompaniment or wasps that incorporate elements of today's popular such as dangdut songs. Not only that, the dancers jathil freely change and adjust according to the demand of the audience or trends that are favored in society. Seeing this paradigm and development, the focus in this research is to look further and in-depth how a popular culture trending affect community shape in a staging performances Reyog Ponorogo in Obyogan form.It also affects the patterns of communication, the message and meaning contained within the show itself. Result of this study showed several behaviors in Reyog Obyogan performances influences to a popular culture that were hits in the present like a concept similar to the dance Edreg Jaipong. Saweran also started a lot in the form of performances Reyog. Song or “Gending” in reyog also changing from songs like 'walang kekek” being “oplosan”' or 'kanggo riko' which is present in vogue in society. The costumes also changed with the entry of sensual especially against Jathil dancers are semi-transparent clothing similar to the Kebaya and colorful. The conclusion of this study prove that folk art as a tradisional performance  be affected things that are popular in the community at large at the time.

Abstract

Ponorogo has a natural beauty comparable to that of one of the arts, Reyog Ponorogo. This study is based on the idea of visual communication through landscape photography, which captures the inherent beauty of the area. However, hidden beneath the unique natural beauty comes the risk of catastrophic calamities that endanger life and property. This research creates the natural beauty of Ponorogo, which has the potential for natural catastrophes, by combining geotagging photography techniques and disaster maps from the National Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). Landslides and flash floods are the most major dangers. The government and the people are expected to investigate the combination of nature photography and natural catastrophe maps in order to preserve nature.
