Abstract This study reports on research results aimed at investigating the techniques used by a teacher and techniques employed implemented to be teach vocabulary to students, as well as studentsâ responses in employing those techniques. Interview, observation, and documentation were carried out to collect the data. The findings indicate that the teacher applied various techniques with various responses in teaching vocabulary. In teaching vocabulary, the teacher mostly employed Repetition drill, vocabulary networks, guess the word, guess the picture, and sing a song. It is relevant to procedure of techniques in teaching English vocabulary. Most of the students of first grade give positive response, they were very enthusiastic and motivated by the techniques used by the teacher.  Keywords: Teaching techniques, vocabulary, presenting vocabulary.

Permasahalan dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan pengaruh kecerdasan Intelektual dalam pembelajaran membaca terhadap profil kercerdasan mahasiswa secara personal di Universitas Mitra Karya. Kecerdasan Intelektual dalam pembelajaran membaca memunculkan perbedaan masalah antara gaya belajar dan strategi membaca. Oleh karena itu, fokus masalah penelitian antara lain untuk menguji pengaruh kecerdasan Intelektual dalam pembelajaran membaca terhadap kecerdasan Intelektual mahasiswa masing-masing, dan untuk menemukan jenis kecerdasan Intelektual di mana mahasiswa belajarnya selama membaca.

In recent years, mixed learning has become a flexible educational method with the changing needs of the times by blending both face-to-face and online learning activities. The purpose of this study was to examine trends and research findings regarding blended learning in language learning. For this purpose, a database of highly reputable publishers was reviewed from 2015-2020. A systematic review was used as the methodology for this study. Articles were analyzed using the content analysis method. The research findings show that blended learning in language learning consists of various skills that can be improved in language competence. The research methods most often used in language learning are found in quantitative and mixed methods. In language learning, most of the blended learning classes are applied in linguistics learning. Besides, research that reviews the effectiveness of blended learning methods mostly shows the many advantages of blended learning methods to improve student's abilities in language learning.

The demands of the contemporary world are increasingly diverse. Nowadays, many women consider skincare to be their most important need. Despite the fact that many Muslim women buy skincare products in Indonesia, they often overlook this halal component. While halal is an important consideration when choosing a product, some shoppers only think about how much they like the product. This also happens in Muara Bakti Village, where the majority of people identify themselves as Muslims but there is still a low level of understanding of the importance of halal certification. This study examines the impact of promotion and service quality on customer interest, utilizing a quantitative approach. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents, focusing on variables of promotion, service quality, and customer interest. The research employed validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, partial (t) and simultaneous (F) tests, and the coefficient of determination (R-Square) to analyze the data. The results show that both promotion and service quality have a significant positive effect on customer interest, with an R-square value of 0.930, indicating that 93% of customer interest is influenced by these two variables. The study concludes that improving promotional strategies and service quality can significantly enhance customer interest, although further research is needed to explore other factors influencing customer behavior.

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan menulis karya ilmiah pada mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) Tribuana Bekasi. Tujuan akhir PkM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kualitas menulis karya ilmiah pada mahasiswa. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 36 mahasiswa STIE Tribuana Bekasi yang terdiri dari mahasiswa Prodi Manajemen dan Akuntansi. Materi yang disampaikan selama pelatihan meliputi konsep dasar penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah, dasar-dasar karya tulis ilmiah, penggunaan bahasa karya tulis ilmiah dan tips dan trik mengatasi plagiarisme karya tulis ilmiah. Pelatihan menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi interaktif dan pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM ini adalah mahasiswa mendapatkan informasi dasar tentang pembuatan karya tulis ilmiah seperti artikel, proposal dan skripsi, mahasiswa mengetahui cara membuat karya tulis ilmiah sesuai dengan klasifikasi dan kriteria penulisan, dan siswa mengetahui bagaimana menulis karya tulis ilmiah yang berkualitas.

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dasar Bahasa Inggris ibu-ibu rumah tangga di Kecamatan Bantar Gebang melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi mobile guna mendukung pembelajaran anak usia dini di rumah. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi Bahasa Inggris dan keterbatasan akses pelatihan yang relevan bagi orang tua di wilayah urban pinggiran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua minggu di RA Raudhatul Jannah, dengan metode observasi awal, pelatihan partisipatif, workshop penggunaan aplikasi, serta pendampingan daring selama tujuh hari. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa hanya 20% peserta memiliki pemahaman awal terhadap kosakata Bahasa Inggris dasar. Namun setelah pelatihan, post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, di mana 85% peserta mampu menyebutkan dan mengajarkan kosakata dasar kepada anak. Luaran kegiatan berupa panduan penggunaan aplikasi, grup pendampingan daring, dan sertifikat partisipasi. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan peran ibu sebagai pendamping belajar anak usia dini. Kegiatan ini direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik masyarakat serupa, sebagai upaya pemberdayaan orang tua melalui teknologi pendidikan berbasis komunitas.

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak penggunaan Quizlet terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris di SMP Negeri 1 Babelan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimental. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok siswa kelas VII, di mana satu kelompok menggunakan Quizlet sebagai alat pembelajaran dan kelompok lainnya menggunakan metode konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang menggunakan Quizlet mengalami peningkatan skor kosakata yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol, dengan rata-rata skor posttest kelompok eksperimen meningkat dari 60 menjadi 85, sementara kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 61 menjadi 70. Uji statistik mendukung temuan ini dengan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, menunjukkan efektivitas Quizlet dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata. Selain itu, analisis terhadap kuesioner motivasi dan keterlibatan serta observasi kelas mengungkapkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan Quizlet menunjukkan tingkat motivasi dan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan keaktifan dan antusiasme yang lebih besar dalam proses pembelajaran, yang sejalan dengan temuan kuantitatif mengenai peningkatan penguasaan kosakata. Penelitian ini memberikan dukungan empiris untuk integrasi teknologi dalam kurikulum pendidikan bahasa Inggris dan menunjukkan bahwa Quizlet dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan pengalaman belajar siswa.

This study explores the disparity in English language proficiency between local and transmigrant students at STIES Mitra Karya Bekasi through a sociolinguistic lens. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis to gather comprehensive data. The findings reveal that local students demonstrate stronger English language skills compared to their transmigrant counterparts. This gap is influenced by differences in educational backgrounds, unequal access to learning resources, and psychological factors such as self-confidence. To address these challenges, the study recommends several strategies, including supplementary language classes, peer tutoring programs, contextualized English instruction, public speaking training, and the implementation of inclusive institutional policies. These interventions aim to bridge the language gap and foster a more equitable and supportive academic environment for all students. The study highlights the urgent need for adaptive pedagogical approaches in multilingual and multicultural higher education settings. It contributes significantly to the fields of sociolinguistics and multicultural education policy by offering practical insights into promoting linguistic equity and inclusion in academic institutions.
