Abstract

Abstract The objective of this study is to find out and analyze empirically the effectsofcooperative script in enhancing the narrative writing of students The study used experimental method with a control and experimental group. The study of population was 80 students ‘electrical Engineering in the second semester at Muhammadiyah Lampung University 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were taken from the seven sections randomly elected by the fishbowl technique. The data collection method used pretest and posttest while data analysis used t-tests in SPSS 16.0 The study of results showed that the mean scores in the pre-test and post-test in both control and experimental groups significantly varied. First, the treatment or the cooperativescript significantly increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative text writing, from good to very good. Second, a significant difference existed in the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups. The treatment increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative writing. Third, the use of a cooperativescript significantly affected the performance, particularly of the experimental group. Keywords: Cooperative Script, Writing Skill, Narrative Text

Abstract

This aimed to know using of jigsaw technique in increasing narrative writing ability students’ grade seven Junior High School  Muhammadiyah Lampung 3 year 2016/2017. This research of population was all students’ Junior High School  Muhammadiyah Lampung 3, it consisted of four classes. It used random sample which consisted of thirty students and grade seven Junior High School Muhammadiyah Lampung 3 Kec. Labuhan Ratu Kedaton. This research was class action research , the data was analyzed to know increasing students’ narrative writing ability, the researchers used technique of collecting documentation, interview and observation . Data analysis was conducted by taking the average score of the pre-test and post- test in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The result of research showed that the average of result on cycle I was 67,40  while cycle II was 78,30 and there was increasing namely 10,63.

Abstract

The purposes of the study were to describe application of PPP method in teaching vocabulary at University of Muhammadiyah Lampung, especially General lesson in Islamic Education and to know the result of students’ vocabularies achievement after teaching by using PPP method. The population of study was University of Muhammadiyah Lampung, especially General lesson in Islamic Education. And there were thirty students as sample. The data of collecting method used documentation and test. The analysis data used mean of average. The students’ mastery of vocabularies has improved after PPP method was given. It was supported by the significant different result of the standard score that has been taken from the English teacher, mean was lower 59.5 than the last score in action research, mean was 72.5. The following suggestions are offered. First, the use of a PPP Method should be maintained frequently and recommended to the English teacher, especially to teach children around 7-10 in order to attract their motivation in learning English to be more interested. Second, a teacher should be clever in creating a contusive situation; try to apply other teaching strategies so that the class becomes alive. Hopefully, there would be further studies on teaching English using PPP Method.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the effect of making a match to increase students writing skill especially sentence pattern “noun + verb + adverbial. True experimental design was used in this study. The data of collecting technique used pretest and posttest, the population was 30 students English Education, the first semester, State of Islamic College (STAIN) Mandailing Natal, the sample used experimental group and control group. The analysis data used SPSS 16.0. The result of this study shows that students had better achievement in writing skill when learning writing used make a match method.

Abstract

This study is going to know what cooperative script method can increase students’ English skill on Islamic economic law especially in past tense material. This study used class action research and the data of collecting used pre test and post test. The population in this study was 60 students in first semester, Students’ Islamic economic law, State College of Islamic studies (STAIN) Mandailing Natal and used random sampling technique as sample, there were 30 students as sample. The analysis data used average score. The result of this study shows that cooperative give good significant in learning English especially in past tense material in first semester, Students’ Islamic economic law, State College of Islamic studies (STAIN) Mandailing Natal

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know the effect google classroom as learning platform in increasing students’ learning motivation in non-formal education subject of students’ Early Childhood Education programs during the first semester STAIN Mandailing Natal 2020/2021. This study is an experimental research with descriptive analysis. The population of this study was 128 students and there are 25 students as respondents in the cluster class. Pre-test and Post-test were used as techniques in collecting data. To analyze the data, the researcehrs used SPSS 16. The result of this study showed that the mean of pre-test was 47.692 and Post-test was 76.154 which can be concluded that there is an increase in the students’ learning motivation in experimental group using Google Classroom

Abstract

Adapting to the “New Normal” is the prime issue that educational institutions are facing nowadays, thus, adjustments in teaching and learning has to be done to reach all students despite the limitations in the face to face interaction. This paper has been initiated to share the voices of the teachers and students’ circumstances and struggles in the transition due to COVID-19 pandemic. Through this paper, the perception on the psychological, and pedagogical concerns shall be given overview and the interface of English Language Teaching and Remote Educational Technology shall be given light to provide beneficial concept for both teachers and students This shall pave way for the continuous support and development in educational institutions and fronliners

Abstract

This study aimed to identify and describe the forms of Attitude as one of the aspects of Appraisal theory.. The object of this research is @officialtbistainmadina instragram account, especially on the last 15 comments out of a total of 47 comments published on November 4, 2020. Collecting data in this study is observation. This observation method is also called the observing method because the data is obtained by listening to the use of language. The data analysis technique in this study uses the referential equivalent method. The result of study shown that the various forms of Attitude that appear in these comments tend to use one of the three aspects in the form of Attitude, namely the aspect Affect with words such as "like", "delicious", "tempting".

Abstract

Culture is the identity of a nation. The cultural diversity of the archipelago will further strengthen the identity of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this service is to introduce Indonesian culture and its national identity to English-language education students at the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City, Philippines. This Community service activities are carried out for English language education students at the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City, Philippines. In this activity, data is gathered through observations, interviews, and studies of the literature. There are three steps to this activity: planning, implementation, and evaluating. The result showed that both English education lecturer and students at the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City, Philippines, learnt more about Indonesian culture and national identity, and they also acquired more vocabulary in the Indonesian language. This means that the activity had a good effect. Abstrak Kebudayaan merupakan identitas suatu bangsa. Keanekaragaman budaya nusantara akan semakin memperkuat jati diri bangsa Indonesia. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan budaya indonesia dan identitas nasionalnya kepada mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan pada mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines. Pengumpul data dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan observasi,interview and studi literature. Tahapan dalam kegiatan ini ada tiga yaitu perencanaan , pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah bahwa baik dosen maupun mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines, ada mengalami penambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai budaya indonesia dan identitas nasionalnya serta menambah kosakata dalam bahasa indonesia artinya kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif .
