Abstract

This study determined the effect of Mango mistletoe Methanolic Extract (MMME) on the cardiac's histopathological profile of hypertensive rats (DOCA-Salt) treated. The MMME was treated on fifty rats for 14 days, divided into five treatments: negative control, positive control, doses 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg BW with five replications. One-way ANOVA analysis was used, namely JAMOVI with version 1.1.9.0, and for cell calculation, diameter using the IMAGE J application. Results showed that there were no significant differences in the histopathological profile of the cardiac in hypertensive rats (DOCA-Salt) treated with MMME for 14 days on the diameter of the heart muscle cells between the control (+) and control groups (-), treatments 1, 2, and 3. This is evidenced by the analysis of p-value> 0.05, namely 0.187 millimeters. Therefore, we concluded that MMME does not affect the diameter of heart/cardiac organ muscle cells. However, there was a significant difference in the amount of necrosis in the cardiac of hypertensive rats between control (+) and control (-) groups, treatments 1, 2, and 3. Based on the results, MMME reduces the number of necrosis in the heart/cardiac organ.

Abstract

Some herbs from the parasite group and the Loranthaceae family also act as antihypertensives. This study aims to look at the histopathological profile of the heart in hypertensive rats (DOCA-Salt) exposed to the combination of Methanolic Extract of Benalu Tea and Mango Benalu (EMBTBM) for 14 days using true experimental design method with completely randomized design on 50 rats, divided into 5 controls -), control (+), treatment 1 dose 50 mg / KgBB, treatment 2 doses 100 mg / KgBB and treatment 3 doses 200 mg / KgBB. Each treatment had 5 replications. In analyzing the data used the ANOVA test, one of the methods is JAMOVI with version 1.1.9.0. As for the calculation of cell diameter using the IMAGE J application. The results showed that the histopathological profile of the heart in hypertensive rats (DOCA-Salt) exposed to EMBTBM for 14 days on heart cell necrosis showed very real evidence between the control (+) and control (- ), treatment 1, 2, and 3. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis p-value <0.05, namely 0.002, so it is denied that EMBTBM has an effect on the average number of necrosis of cardiac cells. There is also a significant difference in the number of heart cell diameter of hypertensive rats between the control (+) and control (-) groups, treatment 1, 2, and 3. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis showing a p-value <0.05, namely 0.021, so that it can it is denied that EMBTBM can shrink the diameter of cells in the heart organ. Abstract

Background: Insomnia is defined as difficulty falling or staying asleep or a sleep state that cannot restore the body's condition. The zebrafish (Danio rerio) is a vertebrate model that has been extensively studied to study sleep and neurological disorders. One of the most widely used methods to examine the effect of the light-dark cycle on the circadian system is by exposing animals and humans to pulse wave light. Objective: To see the effect of light exposure on zebrafish larvae by looking at inactive state duration and sleep latency in zebrafish (Danio rerio) larvae insomnia model. Methods: This study used four groups of zebrafish larvae i.e : (1) normal group (2) minutes of light exposure and 2 minutes off (2/2)), (3) Four minutes of light exposure and 1 minute off (4/1), and (4)  24 hours on (24/0). Observation of larval movement was carried out on 5, 6, and 7 dpf (day post fertilization). Observation time was 30 minutes before and after turned off of light exposure. Results: There were significant differences on days 5, 6, and 7 between the normal group and the three light treatment groups on inactive state duration and sleep latency in dark and light conditions with p-values (p<0.05) and (p< 0.031), but there was no significant difference among groups of light exposure 2 minutes on 2 minutes off, 4 minutes on 1 minute off, and 24 hours on. The 24-hour on treatment showed the most inactive state duration among the light treatments, while the sleep latency was found in the 24-hour treatment. Conclusion: Light treatment of 2 minutes on 2 minutes off, 4 minutes on 1 minute off, and 24 hours on can cause insomnia, but the most substantial insomnia effect is obtained from the 24-hour treatment.

Abstract

Pneumonia is the most frequent cause of death from infectious diseases is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. Meanwhile, sepsis and septic shock remain the leading causes of death among critical patients despite decades of significant advances in supportive therapy. A major factor leading to high morbidity and mortality from septic shock is the lack of effective treatment. Many different options have been proposed, among which the prospect of low-level laser therapy is being discussed quite actively. Laser therapy is a viable way to treat pneumonia or sepsis pneumonia. It is known for its benefits as an anti-inflammatory effect that can reduce the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, namely IL-6, as well as increase TNFα levels and enhance the balance of inflammatory processes. Additional research is required to confirm the effect of laser therapy on inflammation, especially the NF-kB pathway in cases of pneumonia or sepsis pneumonia in vitro, in vivo and in clinical studies.
