The population is 56 elderly people in the elderly school program in Sliyeg Village, Sliyeg District, Indramayu Regency. Samples were taken using accidental sampling. The research was carried out from April 3 – June 30 2023. Research results: the level of dementia before the Brain Gym Stimulation action was carried out was 19 people (73.1%) experiencing moderate levels and the level of dementia after the Brain Gym Stimulation action was carried out as many as 23 people (88.5%) were in the mild category and the results of the Paired Samples t Test The test shows that the average difference between the level of dementia before and after the brain gym stimulation was 2.615. This means that there was a decrease in the level of dementia after the intervention with an average decrease of 2.6 points. The result of calculating the "t" value is that a p-value is 0.000 < 0.005 (2-way test). This means that Ho is rejected and concludes that statistically there is a significant difference in the level of dementia in the elderly before and after brain gym stimulation in Sliyeg Village, Sliyeg District, Indramayu Regency. The conclusion is that there is a significant effect between the level of dementia in the elderly before and after Brain Gym Stimulation in Sliyeg Village, Sliyeg District, Indramayu Regency.

During menstruation, complaints and disorders often occur, especially in productive women, especially teenagers, who often experience menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea. One of the nursing actions to overcome this is kneading massage. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of kneading massage in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in Stikes Aksari Indramayu students. This type of research is quantitative, using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The characteristic of this type of research is that it reveals cause-and-effect relationships by involving a group of subjects. The subject group was observed before the intervention, then observed again after the intervention. The population in this study was all female students at the Aksari College of Health Sciences (STIKes), totaling 46 people in April 2024. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The results of calculating the "t" value obtained a p-value of 0.000 (2-way test). Conclusion: Ho is rejected, and statistically, there is a significant difference in dysmenorrhea pain in adolescents before and after intervention in the form of kneading massage therapy.

Abstract

Individuals with mental health disorders frequently experience elevated levels of stress and anxiety, which negatively impact their overall well-being. Hypnotherapy has been explored as a complementary nursing intervention to reduce psychological distress, yet its effectiveness in psychiatric settings remains under-researched. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hypnotherapy in reducing stress and anxiety levels among individuals with mental health disorders. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed involving 80 participants diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, randomized into an intervention group (n = 40) and a control group (n = 40). The intervention group received six individual hypnotherapy sessions over four weeks, while the control group received standard psychiatric care. Stress and anxiety levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and ANCOVA, with effect sizes and 95% confidence intervals calculated. Results: Participants in the hypnotherapy group showed a significant reduction in stress levels (mean difference = -8.4; 95% CI: -10.1 to -6.7; p < 0.001) and anxiety levels (mean difference = -7.4; 95% CI: -9.0 to -5.8; p < 0.001) compared to the control group. The effect sizes were large for both outcomes (Cohen’s d > 0.8). Additionally, 90% of participants in the intervention group reported high satisfaction with the treatment. Conclusions: Hypnotherapy appears to be an effective complementary intervention for reducing stress and anxiety in psychiatric patients. However, given the limited follow-up duration and sample size, future studies should investigate long-term effects, cultural factors, and integration into nursing practice.

Abstract

Introduction: In the initial stages of labor, especially during the first stage's active phase, mothers experience severe pain, which can be a major hurdle. Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy on pain levels of mothers in active labor. Methods: This research employed a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 32 mothers in labor who were selected using purposive sampling and met the inclusion criteria. The primary method of data collection was a subjective pain measurement on a numeric scale. The analysis was done using the Wilcoxon test to assess the change of pain levels when lavender aromatherapy was administered. Results: Results: The results showed that after applying lavender aromatherapy, most respondents who initially felt moderate or severe pain were able to reduce the level of pain to mild pain. This change was statistically significant with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusions: This study proves that lavender aromatherapy is effective in managing labor pain in mothers in the active phase. Considering the findings of this study, lavender aromatherapy can be regarded as a simple and efficient non-drug method for managing labor pain.

Abstract

The Integrated Service Post, known as Posyandu, is the front line in health services and other multifunctional services. However, at this time its existence has not been seen optimally, this is due to the lack of Posyandu implementers and managers in understanding the existence of Posyandu, so that reports on Posyandu activities that should be carried out in stages have not been carried out optimally, besides that there is still an assumption that Posyandu belongs to Health people. The objectives of the service activities are: Understanding Geber Madu Ayu, Joint Movement for Advancing Posyandu in Indramayu Regency. Methods: lectures, discussions and simulations. The results of the activity: All management of the Posyandu, Village Working Group, District Pokjanal and District Posyandu Pokjanal understand the importance of the Joint Movement to Promote Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu) in Indramayu Regency. Conclusion: The Joint Movement to establish a posyandu in Indramayu has been received and received a good response from stakeholders. Suggestion: Posyandu administrators at every level should increase their commitment to advancing posyandu by involving related elements, ranging from academics, business people, communities and media as well as advocating for regional/government heads.
