Abstract

The Integrated Service Post, known as Posyandu, is the front line in health services and other multifunctional services. However, at this time its existence has not been seen optimally, this is due to the lack of Posyandu implementers and managers in understanding the existence of Posyandu, so that reports on Posyandu activities that should be carried out in stages have not been carried out optimally, besides that there is still an assumption that Posyandu belongs to Health people. The objectives of the service activities are: Understanding Geber Madu Ayu, Joint Movement for Advancing Posyandu in Indramayu Regency. Methods: lectures, discussions and simulations. The results of the activity: All management of the Posyandu, Village Working Group, District Pokjanal and District Posyandu Pokjanal understand the importance of the Joint Movement to Promote Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu) in Indramayu Regency. Conclusion: The Joint Movement to establish a posyandu in Indramayu has been received and received a good response from stakeholders. Suggestion: Posyandu administrators at every level should increase their commitment to advancing posyandu by involving related elements, ranging from academics, business people, communities and media as well as advocating for regional/government heads.

Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding remains a global health priority, yet its practice is often suboptimal, particularly in developing countries. Despite widespread awareness campaigns, many mothers discontinue exclusive breastfeeding before six months, leading to increased risks of infant morbidity and mortality. Maternity nurses play a vital role in bridging the gap by providing education, counseling, and support from the antenatal to the postpartum period. This study aimed to analyze the effect of breastfeeding counseling on exclusive breastfeeding practices among postpartum mothers. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a pre–post design was conducted in the working area of Jatisawit Community Health Center, Jatibarang District. A total of 70 postpartum mothers (35 in the intervention group and 35 in the control group) were recruited through purposive sampling. The intervention group received structured breastfeeding counseling, while the control group received routine maternal care. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and observation checklist, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Ethical approval was obtained from the relevant ethics committee. Results: The findings revealed significant differences between the two groups. Mothers in the intervention group demonstrated higher adherence to exclusive breastfeeding practices compared to the control group. Counseling improved mothers’ knowledge, attitudes, and confidence, which translated into consistent exclusive breastfeeding behavior. Discussion and Suggestion: This study supports the evidence that breastfeeding counseling is an effective nursing intervention to promote exclusive breastfeeding. It highlights the essential role of maternity nurses as educators and supporters. Strengthening structured, continuous, and community-based counseling is recommended to improve breastfeeding practices. Future research should explore long-term outcomes and incorporate socio-cultural determinants to design more contextually relevant interventions.

Elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation are non-pharmaceutical therapies that are believed to lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation on reducing blood pressure. The research design used was a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre-post test design. The research sample consisted of 114 respondents who were divided into 3 groups of 38 respondents each, with inclusion criteria: Elderly people suffering from hypertension, minimum age 60 years, currently taking antihypertensive medication, blood pressure >140/90 mmHg, able to participate in gymnastics movements. / can move the whole body, does not smoke and is not obese. Group selection used consecutive sampling techniques. The research location was carried out in the Cantigi Community Health Center working area and the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests were used to analyze this research data. Research results: systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the test in the control group (systolic p = 0.480 and diastolic p = 0.301), systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the test in the exercise group (systolic p and diastolic p = 0.001), as well as relaxation of finger grip on a decrease in blood pressure (systolic p = 0.001 and p = 0.012 diastolic). The difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation shows that elderly exercise produces lower diastolic blood pressure results compared to finger grip relaxation (diastolic p = 0.015 and 0.005). Conclusion: elderly exercise and finger grip relaxation have an effect on reducing blood pressure and elderly exercise produces lower diastolic blood pressure results compared to finger grip relaxation (diastolic p = 0.015 and 0.005).

Abstract

The digital transformation in healthcare has driven the emergence of nursing technologies as strategic innovations that bridge the gap between the limitations of conventional service methods and the demands of modern nursing care. However, the effectiveness of these technologies largely depends on how they are leveraged for patient education and clinical decision support to improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation in nursing practice with a focus on three key dimensions: technology utilization, patient education, and clinical decision support. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 300 nursing participants from Indonesia and Nigeria selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that technology utilization exerts a significant effect on the effectiveness of patient education, and patient education acts as a strong predictor of accurate clinical decision support. Furthermore, increased technology integration is consistently predicted to enhance nurses' decision-making capacity and quality of care, whereas technological barriers may potentially diminish both. In conclusion, digital transformation in nursing has demonstrated clear advantages over conventional methods in terms of information efficiency, education accessibility, and clinical decision accuracy. This study contributes by integrating patient education and clinical decision support into digital health adoption literature, while also offering practical guidance for system developers and policymakers to create more efficient and evidence-based nursing practice environments in developing countries.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a valid and practical Teaching Factory-based Field Work Practice learning model to improve the competency of Vocational High School students. This research is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of Field Work Practice, which is still lacking in structure, measurement, and is not fully aligned with industry standards. This research used a Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments consisted of an expert validation sheet and a teacher practicality questionnaire with a five-level scale. The validation subjects involved five experts, while the practicality test was conducted by five teachers teaching the Field Work Practice subject. The results showed that the TeFa-based Field Work Practice learning model achieved a validity level of 93.15%, categorized as very valid, and a practicality level of 90.8%, categorized as very practical. These results indicate that the developed model has high design quality, is easy to implement, and is relevant to the needs of industry-based learning. The implication of this research is that the Teaching Factory-based Field Work Practice model can be used as a strategic alternative in implementing Field Work Practice in vocational schools, especially in overcoming limited industrial access, as well as contributing to improving student competencies through authentic, structured, and work-oriented learning experiences.
