Abstract

Berbagai usaha dilakukan pemerintah dalam rangka meningkatkan ketahanan pangan masyarakat, diantaranya pembinaan petani padi sawah melalui kegiatan penyuluhan. Namun demikian, belum semua petani berpartisipasi aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan yang diberikan. Fenomena ini adalah masalah klasik yang terjadi di berbagai daerah termasuk di Gampong Cot seurani Kecamatan Muara Batu Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Padahal pemerintah menargetkan kegiatan penyuluhan dapat terealisasi dengan maksimal dan petani mendapatkan pengetahuan cara budidaya padi yang bisa meningkatkan produktivitas padi sawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi petani dan hubungannya dengan tingkat partisipasi petani dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi petani untuk mengikuti penyuluhan umumnya adalah untuk meningkatkan produksi, meminimalisir biaya produksi saprodi (benih, pupuk dan pestisida), untuk meningkatkan pendapatan, mempermudah kegiatan usahatani serta untuk mengetahui cara bercocok tanam yang baik dan informasi yang terbaru. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi petani berhubungan signifikan dengan partisipasi petani dalam mengikuti penyuluhan pertanian di Gampong Cot Seurani Kecamatan Muara Batu Kabupaten Aceh Utara.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential utilization of palm kernel shell waste as an alternative fuel to replace coal in steam power plants. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive and comparative approach based on various previous studies. The analysis was conducted by comparing energy characteristics through calorific value, electricity generation capability represented by the energy ratio, and economic aspects reflected in fuel prices and energy costs.The results show that palm kernel shells have an average calorific value of approximately 4,300 kcal/kg, which is relatively close to medium-grade coal with an average value of around 5,000 kcal/kg. In terms of electricity generation capability, the energy ratio of palm kernel shells ranges from 0.935 to 1.160 MW/ton, while coal ranges from 1.158 to 1.724 MW/ton. Although coal demonstrates relatively higher energy efficiency, palm kernel shells exhibit a significant economic advantage due to their lower fuel price, resulting in energy costs of approximately IDR 906,000–925,000 per MW, compared to coal which ranges from IDR 1,434,000–1,456,000 per MW. Therefore, palm kernel shells have strong potential as an alternative fuel that is technically feasible and more economically efficient, particularly in regions with abundant availability of palm oil waste.

Abstract

Activity Ratio Analysis to Assess Financial Performance in the herbal medicine and pharmaceutical industry sidomuncul Tbk which is listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). Financial report analysis is needed by companies to assess company performance and compare the company's condition from the previous year. One of the ratios used in conducting analysis is the activity ratio. The activity ratio is useful for analyzing the use of existing resources and to support company activities. There are several types of activity ratios that are used as measuring tools to determine a company's ability to use its assets, namely total asset turnover, working capital turnover, fixed asset turnover, inventory turnover, and accounts receivable turnover. Based on the results of calculating the activity ratio at PT. Tbk's herbal medicine and pharmaceutical industry in 2021 to 2022 shows that this company experience significant change _ in performance his activities related investment in operational . However, the results achieved are still below industry standards, which shows that the company's performance is still not good compared to other similar industries. This needs to be a company's vigilance to always improve performance and have high competitiveness .
