Abstract

Work security is the supporting elements that support the creation of a safe workatmosphere, both material and non-material. Occupational health and safety (K3) in thebusiness world and in the industrial world must be carefully considered by all workers intheir scope of work. The implementation of K3 is one form of effort to create a workplacethat is safe, healthy, and free from environmental pollution, so it can reduce accidents atwork and increase work efficiency and productivity. Work safely from electrical hazards.Because safety is the top priority in every job. Electrical accidents occur due to carelessnessor lack of understanding of electricity. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to worksafety to increase readiness for electrical hazards and other potentials that may arise on thejob. Some things that need to be considered in work that uses electrical equipment, such asdeveloping an attitude of responsibility for personal safety, get used to maintainingcleanliness in the work area from material dirt, and use Personal Protection Equipment(PPE) properly and correctly. The results for three days training showed an increase inparticipants' understanding and participation of the use of the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)method and the application of K3 Electricity in carrying out work.

Abstract

Man was created by God with the power to conduct electricity. However the human body still has limitations. The effect of electric shock on the human body is not the same as the reaction, depending on the magnitude of the electric current that passes through the human body is less than 1 mA, the sensation of shock is only felt in the hand. Above 3 mA, it is in the form of a surprise that feels sick and results in an accident. 10 mA or more, the muscle becomes stiff until it can't remove the condenser. If more than 30 mA, paralysis occurs in the respiratory muscles (lungs). At 100 mA to 4 A, it must interfere with the rhythm of one of the heart chambers (ventricles). The potential danger of being electrocuted (Electric shock), being attacked by a spark (Arc Flash) and an explosion of sparks (Arc Blast), is a serious risk problem. The spark triggers an electric short circuit with an Arc Flash level above (10,000 F), hotter than the surface of the sun, which can cause burns to the human body. In order for the user to use the equipment, the equipment and the environment is quite safe, then the safety of humans for the use of electrical energy in the residence, gets a sense of security and from the dangers of danger due to electric accidents. To reduce and prevent unwanted things from happening, regulations, symbols / codes and other signs are made as guidance.

Abstract

The distribution transformer is one of the main components in an electric power distribution system. Without a distribution transformer, consumers cannot use electrical energy directly considering that the operating voltage in the distribution system is 20 KV or what is called a medium voltage network. Disruptions that occur in distribution transformers will result in blackouts and obstruction of the distribution of electricity to consumers so that services for electricity needs will be disrupted. For this reason, routine and scheduled maintenance of distribution transformers is required which aims to prevent sudden equipment damage, as well as maintaining optimum equipment work according to its technical age, and safe for humans and the environment, as well as reliable in the electric power distribution system. One of the causes of disruption and damage to transformers include overvoltage due to lightning, overload and unbalanced loads, loss of contact at bushing terminals, broken insulators and failure of transformer oil insulation. These disturbances cause damage to distribution transformers and stop the flow of electricity. to consumers. In calculating the usage time of a transformer, we can predict the usage time of the transformer from calculating the voltage and current used every day, so if we know the usage time of a transformer, we can prevent damage to the distribution network by replacing the transformer before the transformer is damaged.
