Abstract

Indonesia has ratified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) recommended by the United Nations to all countries. The development itself cannot be carried out without the availability of electricity and fuel. Unfortunately, most of the electricity and transportation depend on fossil fuels, which will run out in the next 30 years. Besides its diminishing reserves, fossil fuels are the largest contributor to CO2 emissions in the world. To develop electricity from renewable energy, Indonesia needs to prepare its experts and operators through mid and high education to carry out research, operations and future development. This paper offers a road map for higher education and its direction of research and development in the field of renewable energy engineering.

Abstract

Proses pengambilan keputusan untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan energi memerlukan informasi yang berbasis ilmiah. Dalam penelitian ini, berbagai indikator dikumpulkan dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif untuk mengukur keberlanjutan energi nasional menggunakan indeks pembangunan energi berkelanjutan yang berasal dari indikator tersebut. Dengan menerapkan metode analisis ini, tantangan-tantangan terbesar yang terkait dengan keberlanjutan energi dapat diteliti. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menghambat Indonesia untuk mencapai keberlanjutan energi selama periode 2013-2022. Abstract

To face the planetary crisis, Indonesia has prioritized sustainable development through the use of green economy practices to reduce future carbon emissions. Solar energy as one of the renewable energy sources has greater value than others, but its utilisation is still small. Consideration of this condition is discussed with the aim of evaluating the progress of the green economy; finding problems; providing solutions and suggestions for Indonesia's future development. The research method uses a systematic quantitative descriptive approach based on data collected through observations, interviews and questionnaire surveys from resource persons by providing 3 leverage factors namely; funding, regulation and institutions. The study results show that the regression coefficient of the funding factor variable (X1) is 0.365 and positive, then the funding factor variable (X1) has the largest coefficient compared to the coefficient of the regulatory factor (X2) and the institutional factor (X3), so that the funding factor is the most dominant factor in measuring the performance of solar energy success towards the implementation of the green economy. Without serious support from the government in terms of funding readiness, development goals will not be achieved, due to the large amount of funds needed to support the development of the Green Economy. However, the three variables are mutually sustainable by making policies and legal foundations to fulfil the funding needs of the green economy, regulations will be the foundation in mainstreaming the implementation and funding of green economy policies. Green economy planning, governance and supervision are supported by mature institutions and funds

Abstract

Penggunaan beban nonlinier terus meningkat dalam jaringan sistem kelistrikan pada suatu gedung yang telah menarik perhatian untuk memahami sifat harmonik dan teknik mitigasinya. Kapasitor dengan tuned reactor digunakan untuk membantu menjaga faktor daya yang dipasang di lingkungan yang kaya akan harmonik. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengurangi dampak buruk harmonisa dan memastikan bahwa mesin beroperasi dan dipelihara dengan benar, perlu dilakukan penelitian. Alat ukur Hioki 3198 digunakan untuk mengukur arus, tegangan, faktor daya, harmonisa (THD), dan ukuran lain seperti kandungan harmonisa arus dan tegangan. Selanjutnya, data yang diperoleh dianalisa menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai  mendekati batas standar pada fasa T dan melewati standar pada fasa S dimana dari perhitungan standar didapat range yang diperbolehkan adalah sebesar 15% sedangkan hasil yang didapat dari pengukuran sudah mendekati standar. Untuk faktor daya, batas standar yang diperbolehkan yaitu ≥ 85% sedangkan yang terukur yaitu kisaran -0,6% hingga -0,9%.

Abstract

Gedung Administrasi FTI Universitas Jayabaya merupakan tempat kegiatan aktivitas perkuliahan, dimana tingginya penggunaan perangkat berbasis elektronik sebagai beban nonlinier menjadi penyebab utama timbulnya harmonisa yang dapat mengganggu sistem kelistrikan baik kerugian secara teknis maupun finansial. Oleh sebab itu, menjadi penting untuk dilakukan investigasi pengaruh beban nonlinier terhadap tegangan, frekuensi, faktor daya dan THD dengan melakukan pengukuran menggunakan alat ukur Power Quality Analyzer Fluke 43B. Pengukuran dipusatkan pada titik beban pada panel listrik yang telah terpasang trafo dengan kapasitas sebesar 1600 kVA dan kapasitor bank sebesar 525 V 50 Hz. Selanjutnya, hasil pengukuran dianalisis berdasarkan standar masing-masing sebagai pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gedung Administrasi FTI Universitas Jayabaya dalam kondisi stabil, hal ini dapat dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil pengukuran rata-rata setiap fasa yaitu; nilai tegangan memenuhi standar SPLN-1-1995 dengan nilai yang diizinkan turun sebesar 10 % dan naik sebesar 5% dari nilai tegangan standar ( 220 V), nilai frekuensi memenuhi batas izin standar IEC sebesar 50 Hz, nilai THDv memenuhi standar IEEE 519-2014 (< 5%) sebesar 2,4%, nilai THDv memenuhi standar IEEE 519-2014 (< 15%) sebesar 6,13%, dan nilai faktor daya memenuhi standar SPLN 70-1 sebesar 0,98 mendekati angka1(satu) bernilai positif.

Abstract

Informasi ilmiah yang berbasis keberlanjutan energi dibutuhkan saat ini untuk menentukan langkah kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengahadapi krisis global. Kebijakan dan tujuan keberlanjutan energi dalam hal ini harus tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyajikan, menyelidiki dan mengembangkan berbagai indikator baru dalam menentukan langkah kebijakan terhadap keberlanjutan energi. Setelah meninjau semua indikator, tujuh di antaranya dipilih dalam penelitian ini. Semua data indikator dikumpulkan dan dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis korelasi untuk mendapatkan indikator kuat dan lemah, sehingga tahap terakhir dapat ditentukan langkah kebijakan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan data tahun 2022 lebih baik dibandingkan data tahun sebandingnya dengan indikator kebijakan pada rentang angka 1 sebagai korelasi positif yang sangat kuat untuk mengurangi penggunaan bahan bakar fosil dan menggantinya dengan energi terbarukan, sehingga pemerintah dan para ahli energi harus memiliki perencanaan yang matang untuk menerapkan kebijakan yang telah ditetapkan dengan memperhatikan keseimbangan perekonomian, keamanan pasokan energi, dan pelestarian fungsi lingkungan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dimasa depan.

Abstract

The importance of energy sustainability in Banten Province must be able to fulfil national energy needs in the future. In this case, making the right decision by energy policy makers and energy experts is a must to achieve this goal. Determination of appropriate, effective and relevant energy indicators is needed to improve and enhance the energy sustainability infrastructure as targeted. The purpose of this research is to present new indicators, investigate and develop various indicators that can be used to improve the sustainable energy development index. Seven indicators were selected for in-depth study, related data for each indicator were collected and analysed using comprehensive analysis method. The results of the conceptual analysis show that policy makers and energy experts should have careful planning to implement the established policies by taking into account the balance of the economy, security of energy supply, and preservation of environmental functions, then the top priority of energy development should adopt the principle of environmentally friendly energy.

Abstract

This study discusses planning the Economic Feasibility of a Hybrid Solar Power Plant for consumer homes from PLN customers who are included in non-subsidized customers. Planning is carried out for middle and upper-scale households in Bekasi City. A household segment that uses a large amount of energy every month, high electricity bills every month makes consumers have to save energy so they can save on monthly bills. With the rapid increase in population growth, the energy demand is higher, so the electricity price from consumers will also increase. In addition, hazardous substances produced from using fossil energy sourced from PLN are one of the primary research focuses. From the simulation results using HOMER, it was found that installing PLTS can reduce CO2 emission levels by 33% with an NPC saving cost of Rp. 67.2 million, the energy that can be generated from the 4 Pv and Inverter configuration is 3,172 kW/yr with a COE of Rp.499.95.

In the last few decades, solar power technology has developed rapidly, especially in the field of solar panels. Solar panels use semiconductor materials such as silicon to convert sunlight radiation into electricity. On-grid solar power systems have become popular because they generate electricity while remaining parallel Syncron with PLN's power plants. This article discusses the economic analysis of installing solar roof panels in the PT GRAND Building Complex INDONESIA, on-grid solar power system design methodology, including building structure calculations, the area required for installing solar panels, solar panel sizes, sending controller settings, and inverter settings. investment that needs to be made and how many years will the capital be returned or Return Of Investment (ROI), Also describes the types of solar panels, namely monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and thin film solar cells (TFSC), as well as their advantages and disadvantages, The results of this study can provide a complete picture of how much profit is in installing solar roof panels, and modern solar power technology and its implementation on a large scale. Thus, this article is expected to contribute to scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders in the development and implementation of more effective and efficient solar power systems

Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy in Indonesia, driven by rapid economic growth, necessitates a comprehensive evaluation of the country’s electrical energy security across four critical aspects: availability, accessibility, acceptability, and affordability. Despite significant expansion in power generation capacity, with coal-fired plants still dominating the energy mix, environmental concerns regarding emissions pose major challenges to sustainability. This study aims to analyze Indonesia’s electrical energy security by quantitatively assessing 20 key indicators from 2008 to 2023 and projecting trends to 2030 and 2045. Employing data normalization and a rhombus area graphical model, the research integrates multi-dimensional data to provide a holistic security index. Results reveal improvements in availability, accessibility, and affordability over time, but acceptability declines due to rising greenhouse gas emissions, underscoring the environmental trade-offs of fossil fuel reliance. The findings highlight the urgent need for policy and technological interventions such as expanding renewable energy, implementing Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies, and promoting electrification of industrial and transport sectors. This study offers crucial insights for policymakers and stakeholders to balance energy growth with environmental sustainability, guiding Indonesia towards a secure and cleaner energy future.
