Abstract

This research examines the social and cultural evolution of pre-Islamic Arab society through an in-depth analysis of the influence of the Roman and Persian Empires. The main focus of this research is to explore the structural changes that occurred in Arab society before the emergence of Islam, by considering the complex dynamics of interethnic interactions, trade systems, and cultural practices. This research uses an interdisciplinary approach that combines the perspectives of archaeology, historical anthropology, and geopolitical studies to reveal complex mechanisms of social change. The research results show that pre-Islamic Arab society had a very dynamic and adaptive social structure. The initially rigid tribal system experienced significant changes due to interactions with large empires, economic exchange, and the process of cultural acculturation. This study confirms that the pre-Islamic period was not just a transitional period, but was an important phase in the formation of the social and cultural identity of Arab society. The findings of this research provide a significant contribution to understanding the complexity of the history of the Arab region, as well as dismantling conventional narratives that tend to simplify the social dynamics of that period.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the social and cultural landscape of pre-Islamic Arab societies to uncover the mechanisms shaping social identities, cultural practices, and interethnic interactions, challenging conventional essentialist perspectives. Methods: Adopting a qualitative-interpretive approach with an interactive analysis framework by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, the research employs literature reviews, historical document analysis, and cultural narrative reconstruction. Methodological triangulation integrates anthropological, sociological, historical, and psychosocial perspectives to ensure reliability and depth. Results: The findings reveal that pre-Islamic Arab societies exhibited fluid social structures and dynamic identity construction. Ethnic categorization and interethnic interactions were dialectical processes, characterized by continuous negotiation and cultural hybridization. Knowledge systems transcended traditional boundaries, fostering intellectual networks and sustainable cultural adaptation in response to ecological challenges. Novelty: This research provides a nuanced understanding of identity formation as a dynamic construct and dismantles stereotypes about pre-Islamic Arab societies. It highlights the sophistication of their social mechanisms, cultural resilience, and multicultural awareness. The study contributes to a broader academic discourse by presenting a multidimensional analysis that integrates ecological, intellectual, and social factors into the study of identity and cultural practices. These insights redefine the complexity of pre-Islamic Arab societies, offering a significant contribution to understanding multicultural processes and interethnic interactions in historical contexts.

Abstract

This article analyzes the interaction between teachers and students through the story of This study examines pedagogical transformation through a critical perspective, focusing on the deconstruction of marginalization mechanisms in contemporary education systems. Through the method of critical content analysis of academic documentation for the 2020-2024 period, the research explores how reproductive pedagogical practices limit students' subjectivity. Paulo Freire's theoretical framework of critical consciousness is used to dismantle hidden power relations in educational institutions. Studies show that education is not just a transmission of knowledge, but a complex arena of ideological battle. The research proposes the pedagogic of love and the dialogical approach as liberation strategies, in which teachers and students are equally involved in the construction of knowledge. Key recommendations include the deconstruction of an exclusive curriculum, the development of a pedagogical model that respects subjective experience, and the development of an inclusive institutional culture. The contribution of the research lies in providing an alternative conceptual framework that positions education as a transformative practice that dismantles the mechanisms of systemic oppression.

Abstract

Abstract

Thesis writing is a crucial component of higher education and a graduation requirement for students. However, many students, particularly those in Information Technology and Information Systems programs, face significant challenges during the thesis process. Common problems include difficulties in selecting research topics, limited understanding of research methodologies, lack of technical skills in system development, and restricted consultation time with academic advisors. In response to these issues, a digital academic consultation platform called NyokJar – Nyok Jalani Skripsi Bareng! was designed and implemented to assist students in completing their theses more efficiently and ethically. This platform was developed using the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was built using web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, and integrated with WhatsApp to enable real-time communication between students and consultants. The system was tested using Black Box Testing, focusing on system functionality from the user's perspective. Test results showed that all major features functioned correctly, and feedback from early users indicated a high level of satisfaction regarding accessibility and ease of use. NyokJar successfully addresses students’ academic and technical needs in thesis completion while upholding academic integrity. With further development, including features such as user login, progress tracking, and digital payment integration, NyokJar has strong potential to evolve into a scalable educational technology (edutech) service that supports academic processes digitally across educational institutions.
