Abstract

In each design activities, required analysis of user needs for the results obtained to meet the objectives to be achieved. This research is descriptive qualitative research which aims to get an analysis of learning needs LI material online that required student MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong. Thenumber of samples in this study was 54 students. The data taken is analized based on the indicators of LI which refers to Information Literacy Competency Standard for Higher Education which is released bythe Association of College Research Libraries (ACRL), combined with School Library Manifest which is published by International Federation of Library Association of College Research Libraries (IFLA/UNESCO). The results of the research indicated that respondents have good ability in terms of 1) determining the limits of information, accessing information needed effectively and efficiently, 2) combining selected information into one's knowledge base, 3) ability to understand economic issues,law, and social use of information and access it ethically and legally. The abilities which are needed to increase is in evaluating information and the sources, and ability to use information effectively to achieve the particular goals. Six tops materials which are selected by students in designing information literation based on web, are 1) orientation in library including collection items and loations, 2) the technique of index using, reference materials and bibliography, 3) Techinques in searching information, 4) Technique of Online catalogue use, 5) Ways to use reference sources which is matched the needs, 6) Technique of reference writing.

Abstract

Abstract. Information Literacy (IL) Program is a library program that aims to improve the ability of library users to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information. Information literacy learning is essential to be taught and applied in education from the beginning of the school so that students are able to find and organize information effectively and efficiently particularly regard to the school assignment and learning process. At present, various educational institutions began to implement online learning model to improve the quality of teaching and research quality. Due to the advancement of information technology, the information literacy program should be adjusted with the needs of library users. The purpose of this study was to design web-based information literacy model for school library. This research conducted through several stages which are: identifying the needs of web-based IL, designing web-based IL, determining the model and the contents of a web-based IL tutorial, and creating a prototype webbased IL. The results showed that 90,74% of respondents stated the need of web-based learning IL. The prototype of web-based learning IL is consisted of six main units using combination of the Big6 Skills model and 7 Concept of Information Literacy by Shapiro and Hughes. The main fiveth units are Library Skill, Resource Skill, Research Skill, Reading Skill, and Presenting Literacy. This prototype web-based information literacy is expected to support the information literacy learning in a holistic approach.

Abstract

Cultural literacy is the ability to know, recognize and understand the culture that exists in an environment.  Preserving a culture must be so as not to disappear or become extinct, one of the cultures that need help  developing is Silat Sliwa Betawi in Kalideres. This research aims to analyze the influence of silat Sliwa Betawi  digital comics on cultural literacy in the teenager Bulak Simpul Kalideres.This type of research is a  combination of research with experimental research. The subject of the study was a teenager in Bulak  Simpul Kalideres, while the object of this study was the influence of Silat Sliwa Digital Comics on Cultural  Literacy in Bulak Simpul, Kalideres. The final sample count used for the analysis was 36 adolescents.  Running the research site in Bulak Simpul Kalideres. Data collection techniques use active participation  observations, unstructured interviews, and questionnaires. It runs the data analysis into two stages:  qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. After conducting pre-test, experiments with digital  comics, post-test then analyze the last data using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test method, which gets the  result that the value of Pvalue = 0.000 is smaller than α=5%, where if Pvalue is smaller than α then there is a  significant influence between after and before the treatment of the use of Sliwa Betawi digital comics on  cultural literacy.
