Abstract

This study aims to explore the patterns of digital interpersonal communication in building customer trust to join the Billionaire Trader crypto education community through the Telegram social media platform. The research was motivated by the widespread occurrence of crypto investment and trading fraud, which has led to declining public trust, making effective communication crucial in restoring confidence. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the community owner, mentors, and members, as well as document analysis. The findings reveal that the digital interpersonal communication pattern applied by mentors, based on the components of the Source Credibility Theory—expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness—proves significantly effective in fostering customer trust. Expertise is reflected through accurate market analysis, trustworthiness through transparent interactions, and attractiveness through a personal and responsive communication style. The study concludes that in high-risk environments such as crypto trading, credible digital interpersonal communication serves as a strategic foundation for sustaining community engagement. These findings contribute to the practical management of digital communities and the theoretical development of interpersonal communication in virtual settings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Generation Z's adaptation to traditional values, particularly the Balinese language sor singgih in Catur Wangsa, amid social changes driven by globalization and technological advancements, from the perspective of interpersonal communication. The phenomenological approach in qualitative research is the research method used, with three data collection techniques: participant observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. This study also uses source and technique triangulation as a data validity technique. The research informants are members of Generation Z from the five castes in Bali: Brahmana, Ksatria, Weisya, and Sudra. Research conducted across eight districts and cities in Bali indicates that Generation Z is beginning to shift its interpersonal communication patterns. Although they still uphold traditional values of politeness and social norms, Generation Z emphasizes equality and openness in their daily interactions. The generation Z that continues to use the Balinese language is segmented by social context, emotional closeness, and communication situations, rather than solely by caste differences. Furthermore, this study's findings show that the caste system is seen more as a cultural identity than a social boundary. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of preserving the values of Balinese local wisdom in the form of adaptive, egalitarian communication that is relevant to the development of the younger generation in the digital age.

Abstract

This study examines the digital communication strategy through the distribution of TVRI Bali's digital content in increasing the visibility of local news on social media as a form of broadcast media adaptation in the era of media convergence. The study used a qualitative approach, data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and document studies of TVRI Bali's media content division, divisions that assist with content distribution, and TVRI Bali's social media audience. The results showed that the New Media Content Division helped optimize the use of social media by designing, managing, and distributing content on social media and conducting audience interest analysis to determine the right posting time. Other strategies were carried out by using attractive visuals, and utilizing content distribution formats by selecting keywords, hooks, and SEO. In addition, citizen journalism activities, inter-media mentions, and contributors from each region in Bali accelerated uploads on social media. Through targeted content design and strengthening collaboration between divisions and external parties, TVRI Bali's New Media Content Division was able to produce diverse content and maintain consistent uploads according to the results of audience interest analysis, so that the formulated strategy could become a plan and reference in increasing news visibility on social media platforms.
