Abstract

Generation Z (Gen Z), the younger demographic increasingly entering voting age, plays a crucial role in the democratic process. However, their understanding of the voting system and the procedures involved still needs reinforcement. This article discusses the importance of socialization among Gen Z regarding the voting system and understanding the procedures involved. Through an educational approach relevant to the current context of technology and time, socialization can enhance their participation and comprehension within the democratic process. This socialization can be carried out through various media, such as social media platforms, voter education campaigns, and formal educational programs in village. By understanding their rights and responsibilities as voters, Gen Z can become more actively involved in general elections, selecting candidates who represent their values and aspirations. Awareness of the importance of participation in the democratic process and understanding the mechanisms of voting can strengthen the foundation of an inclusive and sustainable democracy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana komunikasi interpersonal antara konselor dan klien di Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) Provinsi Bali, khususnya di Klinik Pratama, membentuk motivasi pemulihan bagi pecandu narkoba. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teori Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO) sebagai landasan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal memiliki peran penting dalam membangun hubungan terapeutik yang efektif antara konselor dan klien selama proses rehabilitasi. Berdasarkan teori FIRO, terdapat tiga kebutuhan utama dalam hubungan interpersonal, yaitu kebutuhan untuk diterima (inclusion), kebutuhan untuk memiliki kendali (control), dan kebutuhan untuk menjalin hubungan yang hangat (affection). Ketiga kebutuhan ini menjadi dasar bagi konselor dalam merancang pendekatan komunikasi yang empatik, terbuka, dan manusiawi. Melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan tersebut, klien merasa dihargai, dipercaya, dan didukung secara emosional, sehingga muncul motivasi intrinsik untuk pulih dan berkomitmen pada proses rehabilitasi. Dengan demikian, komunikasi interpersonal yang berlandaskan pemenuhan kebutuhan interpersonal menurut teori FIRO berperan sebagai fondasi utama dalam membangun motivasi pemulihan yang berkelanjutan di lingkungan rehabilitasi BNN Provinsi Bali.

Abstract

Kain endek Klungkung menghadapi tantangan ganda, mempertahankan kearifan lokal dalam proses produksinya sekaligus beradaptasi terhadap tuntutan pasar di era globalisasi. Penelitian kualitatif studi kasus deskriptif ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana inovasi motif dan produk endek berdifusi dan bagaimana kearifan lokal dipertahankan di tengah dinamika tersebut, menggunakan teori difusi inovasi (Everett M. Rogers). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa difusi inovasi motif kain endek terjadi secara efektif melalui saluran komunikasi digital (media sosial) dan disebarkan oleh kategori inovator dan pengadopsi awal (penjual dan perajin). Inovasi tersebut dapat diterima karena memenuhi kriteria keunggulan relatif (meningkatkan daya jual) dan kesesuaian (compatibility) yang difilter oleh kearifan lokal. Kearifan lokal bertindak sebagai penyeimbang, memastikan inovasi motif baru tidak melanggar pakem filosofis, sehingga kain endek Klungkung berhasil menjadi identitas budaya yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan di pasar global

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of self-disclosure and the formation of intimacy among Generation Z members in the thrifting community in Tabanan through the perspective of Social Penetration Theory. Generation Z, who grew up in the digital era, is known for open, expressive, and adaptive interpersonal communication styles within new social environments. The thrifting community, which focuses on buying and selling secondhand items and sharing interests in sustainable lifestyles, provides a social space that facilitates meaningful interactions among members. This research employs a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with several active members of the community. The findings reveal that self-disclosure serves as the main foundation for building closeness and mutual trust among members. The process of social penetration occurs gradually, starting from light conversations about shared interests to more personal and emotional discussions. The intimacy developed strengthens solidarity, a sense of togetherness, and group identity. In addition to serving as a communication tool, self-disclosure also functions as a mechanism for fostering empathy and mutual understanding among members. These findings indicate that Social Penetration Theory is relevant in explaining the interpersonal communication dynamics of Generation Z in thrifting communities, where social relationships grow through openness, trust, and intimacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang digunakan oleh orlenalycious dalam memberikan informasi kepada konsumennya mengenai produk yang di tawarkan oleh orlenalycious sehingga meningkatkan minat beli konsumennya dan orlenalycious juga ingin konsumennya selalu mengingat orlenalycious dari video yang telah di buat pada TikTok orlenalycious. Penelitian ini nenggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti melakukan observasi pada akun TikTok orlenalycious serta peneliti juga melakukan wawancara kepada narasumber yang mengetahui mengenai TikTok orlenalycious. Hasil penelitian ini adalah media sosial TikTok yang saat ini sangat ramai digunakan dimanfaatkan oleh orlenalycious untuk memasarkan produknya dengan membuat video yang menarik di TikTok. Dengan menggunakan TikTok untuk memasarkan produknya terbilang sangat efektif sehingga membuat banyak konsumennya memiliki keinginan untuk terus membeli produk orlenalycious. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian, Orlenalycious telah memanfaatkan komunikasi pemasaran dengan baik dan orlenalycious menggunakan TikTok untuk memperlihatkan other side of orlena sehingga nantinya konsumennya selalu mengingat orlenalycious dan selalu membeli produk yang di tawarkan oleh orlenalycious.

Abstract

The low participation of the community in general elections is often caused by political apathy. Pemecutan Kaja Village is one of the areas that has several reports of abstentions in the election. Therefore, the Community Service Team conducted counseling and socialization activities to increase the political awareness of local residents. The goal is to reduce the abstention rate and increase political participation of the people of Pemecutan Kaja Village in the elections. The activities include counseling on the importance of participating in elections, socialization on voting procedures, open discussions on national and local political issues, and mentoring for first-time voters. As a result, there has been an increase in political understanding and awareness of citizens' voting rights. The hope is that the abstention rate in the elections in Pemecutan Kaja Village will decrease and political participation will increase. This activity is expected to raise political awareness among apathetic voters in Pemecutan Kaja Village

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran komunikasi keluarga dalam membangun keseimbangan emosional remaja di Kota Denpasar. Topik ini penting karena tingginya tekanan sosial dan dinamika kehidupan perkotaan membuat remaja lebih rentan mengalami ketidakstabilan emosional. Keterbukaan komunikasi dalam keluarga, khususnya melalui proses self-disclosure, menjadi salah satu faktor yang diyakini berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan remaja dalam mengelola emosi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, serta studi dokumen. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas remaja berusia 12–24 tahun yang belum menikah dan orang tua sebagai bagian dari keluarga inti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-disclosure remaja berlangsung melalui beberapa indikator, yaitu ketepatan, motivasi, waktu, keintensifan, dan kedalaman serta keluasan topik. Komunikasi yang terbuka, empatik, dan disampaikan pada waktu yang tepat terbukti membantu remaja mengekspresikan emosi, mendapatkan dukungan emosional, serta membangun rasa percaya. Kesimpulannya, komunikasi keluarga memiliki peran signifikan sebagai ruang regulasi emosional, dan kualitas keterbukaan antara orang tua dan anak berkontribusi pada terciptanya keseimbangan emosional remaja di lingkungan urban. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pola komunikasi yang hangat dan responsif dalam kehidupan keluarga modern.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital marketing communication strategy implemented by PT Druzh Wisatawan Manajemen in building and enhancing client trust in its immigration consulting services. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of digital marketing activities, and documentation of promotional content on Facebook and Instagram. The findings reveal that the company’s digital communication strategy focuses on providing informative and educational content related to visa procedures, immigration regulations, service requirements, and important announcements. This content plays a significant role in increasing client awareness and confidence in the company’s professionalism. Clients reported that clear, timely, and transparent information—especially regarding service processes and required documents—strengthens their trust in the company. However, challenges remain, including inconsistent response times, limited content variation, and the need for broader digital platform utilization. Overall, PT Druzh Wisatawan Manajemen’s digital marketing communication has positively contributed to building client trust, yet improvements in responsiveness, content development, and media diversification are necessary to optimize its effectiveness

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges of adapting introverted Generation Z in entering the world of work which demands intense social interaction, team collaboration, and professional adjustment. The purpose of this study is to understand the interpersonal communication dynamics of introverted Generation Z in the transition to the world of work in the city of Medan. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with sixteen informants, including introverted individuals aged 18–25 years, two young psychologists, and one job accommodator, and analyzed using the Johari Window theory which divides self-awareness into open areas, blind areas, hidden areas, and unknown areas. The results of the study show that the interpersonal communication of introverted Generation Z develops gradually and reflectively; Their open area expands as confidence and work experience increase, blind areas narrow through feedback receipts, hidden areas decrease as trust in the work environment grows, and unknown areas shrink as their potential is revealed. They develop authentic communication strategies that balance introspection, expression, and social adaptation, without having to turn the personality into extroverted. In conclusion, the survival of introverted Generation Z in the world of work is adaptive and reflective, emphasizing the importance of social experiences, environmental support, and the development of self-awareness to build effective and professional communication.

Abstract

Employee engagement is a critical factor in maintaining organizational performance and employee retention, particularly in the retail industry, which is characterized by high work intensity and employee turnover. This study aims to examine the effect of organizational communication and transformational leadership on employee engagement at PT. Global Retailindo Pratama Region Bali. The research employed a quantitative associative approach using a census sampling technique, involving all 40 employees as respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that organizational communication does not have a significant partial effect on employee engagement, although the relationship shows a positive direction. In contrast, transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement and emerges as the dominant variable in the model. Simultaneously, organizational communication and transformational leadership significantly influence employee engagement, explaining 59.7% of its variance. These findings suggest that while communication remains an important organizational function, transformational leadership plays a more decisive role in fostering employee engagement in the retail context. Strengthening transformational leadership practices is therefore essential to enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover
