Abstract

This study aims to determine the prevalence and degree of ectoparasite infection in sand lobster (Panulirus homarus) in different Tank in Bengkulu City. This study was conducted in October – November 2021 in Bengkulu City for 57 days. The method used in this study is a survey method by taking samples from a population that is being observed. Determination of the sampling location was carried out by purposive sampling method at 3 (three) locations of storage/suppliers of sand lobster in Bengkulu City. Ana Lidiana's Tank has the highest prevalence rate of 62.50%, the prevalence rate category is often.

Abstract

Cacing Sutera (Tubifex sp) merupakan hewan yang bermanfaat sebagai sumber pakan alami yang kebutuhannya sangat penting dalam usaha budididaya perikanan terutama dalam pemeliharaan larva dan benih ikan. Permintaan hewan Cacing Sutera (Tubifex sp) semakin bertambah setiap tahunnya, walaupun harganya cukup mahal namun Cacing Sutera (Tubifex sp) tetap diburuh oleh pembudidaya ikan sehingga menjadikan Cacing Sutera prospek di masa depan. Cacing Sutera (Tubifex sp) sangat dibutuhkan untuk peningkatan pertumbuhan larva dan benih ikan air tawar karena didalamnya mengandung nutrisi yang tinggi terdiri dari protein 57,00%, lemak 13,30%, air 87,19% dan kadar abu 3,60%, karbohidrat 2,04%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh komposisi media pemeliharaan yang terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan biomassa Cacing Sutera (Tubifex sp). Penelitian ini mengunakan Metode Eksperimental Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan adapun keempat perlakuan tersebut yaitu Perlakuan K0 : Lumpur 100 gram, Perlakuan K1 : Lumpur 20 % + Tongkol jagung 40 % + Nasi 20 % + Kotoran puyuh 20 %, Perlakuan K2 : Lumpur 20 % + Tongkol jagung 20 % + Nasi 30 % + Kotoran puyuh 30 %, Perlakuan K3 : Lumpur 20 % + Tongkol jagung 20 % + Nasi 20 % + Kotoran puyuh 40 %. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media kultur yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata p<0,05) terhadap pertumbuhan bobot biomassa cacing sutera (Tubeifex sp). Pada perlakauan K3 dengan komposisi Lumpur 20% + Tongkol jagung 20% + Nasi 20% + Kotoran puyuh 40% menghasilkan media organik pemeliharaan terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan bobot biomassa cacing sutera (Tubifex sp) sebesar 5,09 gram. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the best temperature for egg hatching and survival of sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus) larvae. This research was carried out for 30 days, 29 May – 29 June 2024, located at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. University. Dr. Hazairin SH. Bengkulu Jl. A. Yani Bengkulu City District. Segara Bay. The design used in this research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of four treatments and six replications, each treatment as follows: P1 (temperature 29ºC), P2 (temperature 30ºC), P3 (temperature 31ºC) and P4 (temperature 32ºC). The fecundity of Sangkuriang catfish obtained was 90,000 eggs. Water temperature has a very significant effect on hatching time, egg hatchability and survival of sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus) larvae. Hatching time The best temperature is 31ºC - 32ºC, while the best hatchability and survival of sangkuriang catfish larvae is at 30ºC where hatchability is 84.33% and survival is 82%.

Abstract

Catfish production needs to continue to be increased even further, including using probiotics enriched with noni fruit extract (Morinda citrifolia L). The aim of this research was to determine the effect of adding noni fruit extract (Morinda citrifolia L) to the Rabal probiotic given in feed on the growth and survival of Sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus).  This research was carried out for 60 days starting from February to May 2024, located in Bentiring Permai, Sidodadi Village, Bengkulu City. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, namely;  P0  (Probiotics without Noni fruit extract), P1   (Rabal probiotics with 10% Noni fruit extract , P2   (Rabal probiotics with 20% Noni fruit extract), P3   (Rabal probiotics with 30% Noni fruit extract) and P4   (Rabal probiotics with 40% Noni fruit extract).  The test fish used were 11 fish/container with a length of 6-8 cm. The variables observed were absolute length, absolute weight, feed conversion, efficiency and survival of Sangkuriang catfish. The addition of noni fruit extract to the RABAL probiotic had a very significant effect on the growth in length and weight of the test fish as well as feed conversion and efficiency. The best growth of sangkuriang catfish was in treatment P2 (rabal probiotic with 20% noni fruit extract)  with a survival rate of 100 percent.

MDS can assess sustainability across multiple dimensions. AHP enables the prioritization of strategies that must be implemented. The Pangasius aquaculture company in Tulungagung Regency is currently in a sustainable state. Abstract Aquaculture activities in Tulungagung Regency provide livelihoods for 12,050 households. Therefore, ensuring the sustainability of Pangasius aquaculture activities is crucial for the welfare of fish farmers. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of existing Pangasius aquaculture businesses in Tulungagung Regency, East Java, Indonesia, and to create a sustainable Pangasius aquaculture policy strategy. This quantitative study used Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analyses to determine the sustainability status of Pangasius aquaculture based on five dimensions: ecological, economic, social, institutional, and technological infrastructure. Among these dimensions, two are less sustainable, particularly infrastructure technology and the economy.

Abstract

The research aimed to obtain the best stocking density for goldfish (Carassius auratus) which are kept using a recirculation system. The research was conducted for 60 days from March to May 2023 at Durian street, Bengkulu City. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 4 stocking density treatments and 6 repetitions so it’s obtained 24 experimental units. The treatments consisted of stocking density of 15 fish/20 liters (P1), 30 fish/20 liters (P2), 45 fish/20 liters (P3), and 60 fish/20 liters (P4). The research used container in the form of plastic box measuring 50 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm. The results showed that stocking density had a very significant effect on biomass weight growth and specific growth rate, but had no significant effect on absolute length and survival rate. The stocking density of 60 fish/20 liters (P4) resulted biomass weight growth of 131.23 grams, survival rate of 99.00 percent, daily biomass weight growth of 2.45%, and length growth of 2.64 cm.
