Abstract

God created man in both physical and spiritual aspects. The physical part is the human body that can be seen like the senses, while the spiritual aspect is aql and qalb, which are invisible. This research analyzes human potential based on Qur'anic terminology and its role in Islamic education. This research used qualitative methods. The data collection was documented from the Qur'an interpretation as the primary data source and journal articles and renowned books related to the topics as the secondary data sources. Data analysts used text analysis methods, such as selecting critical terms from the vocabulary of the Qur'an interpretation, determining the basic meaning and relational meaning, and inferring and integrating these concepts into one general idea. The results of this study are. First, the potential of sense was mentioned in the Qur'an in three terms: Al-Sam'u is repeated 185 times, Al-Bashr is repeated 139 times, and Al-Dhuq, is repeated 48 times. Second, the potential of reason, etymologically, the term aql is mentioned in the Qur'an in more than 49 words, collected in dzakara, faqiha, 'alima, tadabbara, tafakkur, and ulul albab. Third, the potential of the qalb (heart), the mashdar form of the qalaba-yaqlibu-qalban root, which means true. The Qur'an uses the word heart mentioned 122 times, spread across 45 letters and 112 verses. Islamic education must covers all potentials such as tarbiyah imaniyah, tarbiyah khuluqiyah, tarbiyah jismiyah, tarbiyah aqliyah, nafsiyah ijtima'iyah, so it will produce quality Islamic education output.

Abstract

The smartphone is a cellular phone using various services such as memory, screen, microprocessor, and built-in modem, so the features on this smartphone are very complete compared to mobile phone features. This study aims to see the impact of using smartphone in the learning process of elementary school students. This study used qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of observations, interviews, and questionnaires in grade V SD Negeri 1 Kebonturi, Arjawinangun District, Cirebon Regency, there are negative impacts on smartphone use. This is shown by students experiencing decreased concentration, laziness, and the effects of opium. It is expected that teachers are able to give direction to their students about the negative effects of smartphone use, able to give directions that using smartphones must be with awareness of the time where and when to use a good smartphone.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that children have not been able to pour their imagination and critical thinking skills into concrete objects. The purpose of this study is to enhance children's problem-solving abilities using the STEAM method. The research method used PTK (Classroom action research) with a qualitative approach, and 2 cycles were carried out. Data collection techniques use observation and documentation. The research procedure involves planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data analysis is carried out using percentages on a Likert scale, adjusted to the indicators studied. The results of the study indicate that the success of this study can be seen in cycle 1: 58% have not developed, 78% are starting to develop, and 16% are developing as expected. Improvements are seen in cycle II, namely developing as expected by up to 39% and developing very well by up to 73%, who previously had not been able to develop further. This can occur through children's activities using a digital storybook entitled "Gara-Gara Piko", which describes activities that help children imagine ways to solve the problems it contains. Then the child realizes it by drawing on a piece of paper, inspired by the storybook they have heard previously.
