Abstract

This study aims to produce an interactive M-learning media design based on Smart Apps Creator for the teaching and learning process, particularly the Simple Past Tense, through validity, practicality, and effectiveness. It is a development study with a 4-D design, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, but this study only did at the development stage. The subjects of this study are eighth-grade students of SMP Awaluddin Kubu Raya and three validators as three experts, material and media experts, and field trial subjects. The data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques and measurement techniques. The data collection tools used included validation sheets, which consist of media validation sheets and tests. The study results conclude that the interactive M-learning media design based on Smart Apps Creator for teaching English on Simple Past Tense material at SMP VIII Awaluddin Kubu Raya was categorized as very valid, practical, and effective. Therefore, it is hoped that this app will be used in the English teaching process.

Abstract

This study focuses on developing English instructional materials based on religious moderation for students at MA Awaluddin Kubu Raya. Itused a design and development approach, guided by the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The work was limited to the first three stages, which are Analysis, Design, and Development, to create and validate the new learning materials through expert evaluation. While the ADDIE framework provided a clear and thorough process for development, the later stages of implementation and classroom assessment were not conducted. These remaining phases are noted as important next steps and a key limitation of this study. The materials were designed by integrating linguistic elements with the four pillars of religious moderation, namely national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and appreciation of local culture. The product was validated by three experts: an English language content expert, an education specialist, and a religious moderation expert from the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB). The results indicate a feasibility level of 95.00%, categorized as highly appropriate, with scores of 96.75% for content, 93.25% for linguistic aspects, and 95.00% for design and media. The final product, Reading Comprehension Lessons Based on Religious Moderation, comprises ten thematic reading units designed to foster tolerance, national values, peaceful interaction, and cultural respect. The findings confirm that the developed materials are strong in both theory and content, according to expert evaluation. They are therefore deemed suitable and ready for initial implementation and pilot testing with students. The product offers a validated model as an alternative resource for English language teaching in madrasah settings.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a pivotal role in Islamic education, requiring sound and Sharia-compliant financial management to ensure institutional sustainability. Nevertheless, prior studies on pesantren financial governance remain fragmented and largely descriptive, providing limited integrative insight into Sharia-oriented managerial frameworks. This study aims to systematically review and synthesize existing literature on Sharia-based financial management in pesantren by identifying dominant principles, management components, implementation models, and governance challenges. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), peer-reviewed articles were retrieved from reputable academic databases using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria and analyzed through thematic synthesis. The results indicate that Sharia-oriented financial management in pesantren is consistently grounded in the principles of amanah (accountability), shafafiyyah (transparency), ‘adl (justice), and Islamic ethical compliance. Core components include financial planning and budgeting, fund mobilization, Sharia-based financial reporting, and internal control mechanisms. However, recurring challenges persist, notably limited managerial competence, weak financial standardization, and insufficient integration of Sharia accounting frameworks. This study contributes theoretically by developing an integrative conceptual map of Sharia-oriented financial governance in pesantren, addressing gaps in prior isolated studies. Practically, the findings inform pesantren leaders and policymakers in designing standardized financial systems, capacity-building programs, and regulatory frameworks to strengthen Sharia-compliant financial governance.
