Abstract

Micro-hydro Power Plant had three primary components: water (as the energy resource), turbine, and generator. Water that flew in a specific capacity was channeled from a certain height to the installation house (turbine house). In the powerhouse, the water installation pounded the turbine that made the turbine received direct energy from the water and turn it into mechanical energy and caused the turbine shaft to spin. Changes in the loading could cause fluctuation in the system’s frequency and voltage. This problem could damage electrical equipment. Therefore, the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) was used to control and stabilize the voltage. This research used PID controller to obtain the optimized control parameter in the Micro-hydro Power Plant. This research compared the simulations of without control method, with PID-ZN control method, and with PID-DE method to obtain the best control method. The comparison simulations showed that the best response in the micro-hydro plant and the AVR system was from the PID-DE controller. These results might be a reference for future research with other methods that might generate better results.

Abstract

This research offers the manufacture of an emergency light prototype using Arduino Nano as the main controller. This prototype uses a buck converter in collaboration with an Arduino Nano to regulate the duty cycle with Pulse Width Modulation, based on feedback from voltage and current sensors. MOSFETs are used to regulate the voltage from a 10 Wp solar panel using the PWM method which is controlled by Arduino Nano. This buck converter is an inverting type because it changes the position of the supply voltage. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technique is used to optimize energy from solar cells by finding optimal working points, ensuring maximum efficiency. This research also uses a 3.7 V lithium battery with a capacity of 18,650 mAh as a load for a series of prototype lights with the Joule Thief concept. The Joule Thief circuit is a minimalist oscillating voltage amplifier that is economical and easy to make, suitable for driving LED lights or DC dynamos. The results of this research show that the DC-DC MPPT buck converter based on the Arduino nano microcontroller can work well. By setting the duty cycle to 80 percent and a frequency of 62.5 kHz, current and voltage measurements produce an output of 4.95 volts - 5 volts.

Abstract

Minyak bumi sebagai hasil dari energi saat ini, maka cepat atau lambat minyak bumi akan habis.  Diperlukan sumber alternatif energi baru untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi yang tidak dapat dibendung lagi. Sampah merupakan permasalahan utama bagi penduduk di banyak kota, yang berdampak negatif seperti dampak pencemaran, dampak buruk kesehatan maupun lingkungan serta dampak gangguan estetika. Permasalahan dengan sampah terjadi di kota jombang  yang memiliki masalah dalam pengelolaan sampah. Kota Jombang yang berpenduduk ± 1,3 juta jiwa menghasilkan sampah tiap tahun meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jiwa penduduk. Tiap tahun Kota Jombang terjadi pembuangan sampah 110 ton/hari di Kota Jombang yang akan selalu meningkat di buang begitu saja di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Gebangkeret. Metode menggunakan metode kuatitatif dengan menghitung jumlah energi sampah yang akan dihasilkan menjadi energi tenaga listrik. Suplay energi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Sampah (PLTSa) sangat dipengaruhi oleh jenis dan banyak sampah yang digunakan. Pengelolaan bahan bakar memerlukan proses insenerasi, gasifikasi, dan pirolisis. Dari hasil penelitian menggunakan proses incenerasi didapatkan hasil 364.622,46 Kj/Kg menghasilkan daya generator sebesar 19,563 Kw. Ini menunjukkan bahwa energi dari hasil sampah di jombang sangat disa dgunakan untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Sampah sebesar 20 kWatt.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IOT) is a concept or program where an object has the ability to transmit or send data over a network without the help of computer devices and humans. The development of the Internet of Things (IOT) is currently taking place rapidly and has been applied in various sectors, including government, business, and industry. By utilizing this technology, management and monitoring of electrical equipment in a building can be done in an integrated manner through Internet connectivity. This allows us to prevent excessive use and reduce electricity consumption in rooms that are not being used. The 1st floor building of the engineering faculty has many lights and fans. Not infrequently, negligence often occurs in turning off and on the lights and fans. This study aims to control the lights in the engineering faculty building on the 1st floor using the IOT system through the Blynk application, to provide convenience for people who will control the lights in the engineering faculty building and can be turned off remotely if there is negligence when turning off the lights can be turned off remotely using a smartphone. The results of this study use the ESP32 type microcontroller and the Blynk application to control the lights and fans. The results can work well. The bypass switch for controlling the lights and fans is used when there is a disruption to the Internet network.

Abstract

Background: The effects of many economic policy packages aimed at promoting economic growth in Indonesia are thought to have fallen short of expectations. The primary factors are policies that are still reactive and the timing of execution. Aim: This study's goal is to examine how economic development in Jombang's Ngusikan Subdistrict is related to village economic policy packages. Method: This study employed a quantitative methodology with non-experimental fact exposure. Primary information was gathered from surveys of village administrators and local leaders. Secondary data come from documents or directly from linked persons during direct interviews. data analysis utilizing the F-test and simple and fictitious regression correlation analysis. Findings: The development of the economy of Jombang's Ngusikan Subdistrict is significantly influenced by the road and electrical infrastructure. However, in Ngusikan Subdistrict, Jombang District, telephone and water facilities do not significantly affect economic growth. But concurrently, every aspect of the fiscal decentralization strategy has a large impact on the rate of economic expansion in the Ngusikan Subdistrict, Jombang District.
