Abstract

Tradisi Bajapuik merupakan ritual pernikahan adat yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Pariaman, suatu perubahan tradisi Bajapuik di masyarakat Pariaman urban melalui proses komunikasi antar budaya di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan secara detail transformasi tradisi bajapuik yang dilakukan oleh perantaug di perkotaan. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori fenomenologi sosial dan teori interaksi simbolik Alfred Schutz. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode fenomenologi dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Informan penelitian ini adalah perantau dari Pariaman dan memahami pengalaman tradisi Bajapuik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi transformasi dalam tradisi Bajapuik berupa perubahan makna simbol budaya bagi pendatang dalam mempertahankan tradisi Bajapuik yang sebelumnya memiliki makna sebagai simbol identitas Pariaman-Minangkabau. Keadaan individu dan modern masyarakat perkotaan terlibat dalam politik identitas dimana masyarakat selalu mencari formasi identitas baru. Terdapat transformasi makna Bajapuik, simbol Bajapuik dan prosesi tradisi Bajapuik dalam lingkungan sosial nomaden Jakarta dan dalam mengekspresikan identitas etnis Minang karena kesadaran individu untuk mempertahankan tradisi Bajapuik yang konvensional.

Abstract

This research aims to examine organizational communication between foreign leaders and local employees at PT Sunwood Timber Industries, utilizing a constructivist approach and qualitative research methods, particularly a descriptive case study involving observation, interviews, and document analysis to understand communication patterns and identify barriers in the interaction between these two groups. The study's findings highlight the crucial role of communication in managing cultural differences in the workplace, with effective communication being key to creating an inclusive and productive work environment. The research provides a comprehensive overview and significant contribution to improving organizational communication within the company, offering recommendations for enhancements to enhance the effectiveness of communication between foreign leaders and local employees.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate and find solutions to the existing problems at PT. Elephant Agung Perkasa, focusing on Organizational Communication perspectives to address and resolve issues as well as inhibiting factors within the company. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a constructivist framework. Data collection involves observation and in-depth interviews to gather information for addressing the researched problems. The results indicate that the communication role at PT. Elephant Agung Perkasa is closely tied to the system implemented from superiors to employees and the communication among colleagues. To effectively manage organizational communication, PT. Elephant Agung Perkasa needs to handle it efficiently in both maintaining and resolving conflicts, as identified in this research. This ensures the company can implement effective communication practices and receive positive feedback from employees.

Abstract

Student motivation is the key to the success of an educational process, with fluctuations in motivation, whether increasing or decreasing, often being an internal factor of the student. However, teachers play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing student motivation. In efforts to increase student motivation, teachers employ persuasive communication to alter the understanding of students experiencing challenges in learning motivation. This study examines the persuasive communication strategies used by teachers at SD Islam Sinar Cendekia BSD to enhance student learning motivation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, data were collected through observations and interviews with teachers. The findings of the study indicate that before implementing persuasive communication, teachers are guided to understand the students' character so that the persuasive message aligns with the students' emotional conditions, which undoubtedly facilitates the teachers in providing examples or analogies to support the persuasive message. Additionally, teachers also align student character with the design and implementation of learning, the outcomes of which reflect the teachers' credibility in applying persuasive communication strategies

Abstract

Judging from the Perbup or Tangerang Regent's regulation Number 12 of 2022 concerning the second amendment to Perbup Number 46 of 2018 concerning restrictions on the operational time for goods cars on roads in the Tangerang Regency area, namely that the operational time for goods transport vehicles (sand, stone, soil) is limited to 22.00 WIB until 05.00 WIB. However, transportation such as trucks carrying mounds of earth that are material for the construction process often violate operating hours. In running the transportation and freight system, such as land-laden trucks in Tangerang Regency, the Transportation Department plays an important role in organizing and managing transportation systems. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. The communication used by the Tangerang Regency Transportation Service is verbal, through the media, and symbolic communication. In terms of four important implications in Social Systems Theory, such as interdependence, openness, forms of analysis, and organizational adjustments or updates, the communication role of the Tangerang Regency Transportation Service in dealing with violations of land transportation operating hours has carried out these four important implications. This is appropriate and relevant to the Social Systems Theory used in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the migration motives that underlie generation Z in following Ustadz Hanan Attaki's TikTok account. Alfred Schutz's phenomenological study was used as a theoretical framework to understand the motives and subjective experiences of the informants. The research method used was a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with 9 informants who were active viewers and followed Ustadz Hanan Attaki's TikTok account from generation Z. The data collected was then analyzed based on the concept of "because" motive and "goal" motive. " (motif in order) Schutz. The research results show that there are various migration motives behind generation Z in following Ustadz Hanan Attaki's TikTok account. The “because” motive includes past spiritual experiences, environmental influences, and identity crises. Meanwhile, the "goal" motive includes the desire to improve oneself, search for the meaning of life, and gain inner peace. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the dynamics of migration among generation Z in the digital era.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of cyberbullying on viewer behavior on the TikTok platform, especially on the gaming account "Official Sir Cheese." With the rapid growth of social media and the popularity of gaming content, the phenomenon of cyberbullying has become an increasingly pressing issue. This research aims to analyze how cyber attacks affect audience interactions and behavior following gaming content from "Official Sir Cheese." The research method involved qualitative analysis of comments and messages received by the account, as well as interviews with viewers who experienced the direct impact. The research results show that cyberbullying can result in significant changes in audience behavior, including decreased active participation, increased anxiety, and changes in the way they interact with online content and communities. This research suggests the need for mitigation strategies to protect audiences from the negative impacts of cyberbullying and maintain a healthy and supportive online environment.
