Abstract

Katarak merupakan kelainan mata yang ditandai dengan kekeruhan lensa, terutama disebabkan oleh proses degenerasi yang berkaitan dengan usia. Namun katarak dapat dipermudah timbulnya pada situasi dan kondisi tertentu misalnya: penyakit diabetes mellitus, merokok, hipertensi, peningkatan asam urat serum, radiasi sinar ultra violet B, myopia tinggi, kekurangan anti oksidan, dan lain-lain. Berdasarkan data kunjungan pasien rawat jalan di RSUD Dr. Soedarso Pontianak, proporsi kasus katarak pada kelompok umur 45-64 tahun 2011 sebesar 45,0%, 2012 sebesar 42,4%, dan 2013 sebesar 36,2%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui hubungan antara riwayat Diabetes, riwayat Hipertensi, dan Riwayat Merokok dengan kejadian Katarak pada pasien Poli Mata RSUD Dr. Soedarso Pontianak. Desain penelitian menggunakan studi kasus kontrol. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 66 orang (33 kasus dan 33 kontrol) yang diambil dengan teknik  accidental sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan ialah uji chi-square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar gula darah (p value=0,000  OR = 26,667 dengan 95% CI = 3,249-218,856), lama menderita DM (p value = 0,027 OR = 3,500 dengan CI = 1,270-9,642), riwayat hipertensi  (p value = 0,027 OR = 3,500 dengan 95% CI = 1,270-9,642), dan riwayat merokok (p value = 0,045 OR = 3,200 dengan 95% CI = 0,805-62,786) dengan kejadian katarak. Disarankan Poli mata membuat pojok informasi untuk menambah informasi pasien tentang faktor-faktor yang berisiko menyebakan katarak guna sebagai upaya pencegahan meningkatnya kasus kejadian katarak. Disarankan kepada responden untuk selalu mengontrol kadar gula dan tekanan darah serta berhenti merokok untuk menurunkan risiko terjadinya katarak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menanggapi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang terkait dengan materi SPLDV, dengan fokus pada indikator-indikator pemahaman konsep matematis. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan  data dilakukan  dengan metode tes dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data melibatkan tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini, dari 22 siswa kelas VIII yang telah mengikuti tes, sebanyak  3  orang  mendapatkan  nilai  dalam  kategori  tinggi,  sebanyak  15 orang  memperoleh nilai  dalam kategori  sedang, dan sebanyak 4 orang yang mendapatkan  nilai dalam  kategori rendah. Dari data tes tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan pemahaman  konsep  matematis  sebagian  besar  siswa  kelas  VIII SMP IT Abdan SYakuro Lampu Iman Karawang dikatakan sudah baik.

Abstract

Circumcision is a minor surgical procedure with the main action of cutting (incising) some parts of the skin covering the male genitalia. The type of community service implemented is the Community Partnership Program (PKM), providing direct services to the community through mass circumcision activities. This community service activity was carried out for 2 days which were used for preparation in the form of processing community service permits, preparing places, facilities, and training tools, as well as consumption and lunch for participants and organizers of the circumcision activity. Of the 20 participants, all were circumcised well and smoothly. The evaluation was conducted check control to the Ibnu Sina Circumcision House for a check-up. It can be concluded that this mass circumcision activity is very useful and the less fortunate surrounding community feels its benefits.

Abstract

Teaching difficulties are a big obstacle for teachers, especially in managing the student learning environment. These barriers can be psychological, sociological, or physiological. The Independent Curriculum emphasizes student independence and requires adjustments to technology and infrastructure. Observations show that FKIP UNADA Banda Aceh students have not mastered the teaching materials based on the Independent Curriculum. This study analyzes these difficulties and aims to determine the difficulties of geography education students in understanding the high school teaching materials based on the Independent Curriculum at FKIP UNADA Banda Aceh. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The study results showed that 77.1% of Geography Education students had a "very understanding" understanding of high school teaching materials based on the Independent Curriculum. However, they face difficulties understanding the new curriculum's principles, having limited teaching experience, and lacking practice. The availability of quality learning resources also affects the ability to implement the curriculum. Of the six indicators, two indicators, namely student involvement (81.9%) and creativity in learning (77.1%), obtained high percentage values, while two indicators had low percentage values, namely critical thinking (75%) and feedback (76.4%).

Abstract

Purpose –  This study aims to explore the interrelation between media literacy, moral panic, and the Acehnese community’s response to Rohingya refugees. Although the issue of Rohingya refugees has previously been examined from legal, social, and cultural perspectives, the role of media literacy—particularly within educational contexts—remains underexplored. This study is significant due to the widespread dissemination of hoaxes, such as claims that “Rohingya refugees are a diversion from the Palestine issue” and demands for “permanent resettlement,” which have substantially influenced local public perceptions.. Methods/Design/Approach – This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach in Aceh, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 20 key participants, including local community members, Rohingya refugees, and practitioners in education and media; participatory observation; document analysis of media and international organizational reports; and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Data analysis was conducted using a thematic approach and verified through source and method triangulation. Findings – he findings reveal that the initial solidarity of the Acehnese community toward Rohingya refugees was shaped by local values and maritime customary law in the absence of formal state regulations. However, this positive perception shifted significantly due to the spread of hoaxes via social media, triggering moral panic, social segregation, political tensions, and collective acts of rejection against the refugees. The majority of respondents emphasized the need to integrate media literacy into both formal and informal educational systems to mitigate these negative impacts. Originality/Value – This study makes a theoretical contribution by explicitly integrating the concept of critical media literacy into the analysis of moral panic surrounding the Rohingya refugee issue, an area previously underexplored in the literature. It also specifically documents the role of hoaxes in shaping public perception, offering new insights into the interaction between media literacy, moral panic, and social responses within the context of refugee crises. Practical Implications – Practically, the findings recommend implementing critical media literacy within formal and informal education curricula, particularly at senior high schools and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). In addition, community-based media literacy programs involving local leaders, as well as the synchronization of policies between central and regional governments, are crucial for enhancing critical awareness and social empathy in addressing global refugee challenges. Limitations – This study is limited to the geographical context of Aceh and faced linguistic constraints during interviews with Rohingya refugees, which may affect the generalizability and depth of the findings.
