Abstract

This community engagement project trained students in utilizing dry waste to produce biomass briquettes, equipping them with essential skills for their future community service (KKN) activities. The training, attended by 20 students, covered theoretical and practical aspects, including waste management, biomass briquette concepts, and alternative energy sources. Lectures and presentations by experts provided a comprehensive understanding of biomass briquettes. Practical demonstrations taught students the steps involved in briquette production, from waste collection and processing to mixing and using natural adhesives. The training also included marketing strategies, market analysis, and business model development to equip students with entrepreneurial skills. Results indicated high levels of understanding and skill acquisition, with 90% successfully performing drying and crushing techniques, 85% correctly mixing materials and adhesives, and 80% effectively conducting quality tests on briquettes. The training significantly improved participants' teamwork and communication skills, essential for their upcoming KKN activities. This project contributed to sustainable waste management practices and alternative energy solutions, enhancing students' readiness to implement these practices in their communities.

Abstract

This research explores community economic empowerment strategies through local e-commerce platforms using a qualitative approach and literature study methods. Data was collected from academic journals, books, annual reports, and news articles to analyze the impacts and challenges of implementing local e-commerce. The research results show that local e-commerce platforms have a significant positive effect in increasing the capacity of SMEs through training, expanding market access, and providing financial and technical support. The increase in income and operational efficiency of SMEs shows the clear benefits of this platform. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and poor internet connectivity in rural areas hinder optimal implementation. Research recommendations include the need for increased training programs, more intensive technical support, and improvements to internet infrastructure. By overcoming these challenges and implementing effective strategies, local e-commerce platforms can do more to empower the community's economy and encourage sustainable business growth

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the historical entry and development of Islam in India, as well as its contributions to shaping the multicultural civilization of the subcontinent. Using a descriptive-qualitative method with a historical approach, the research traces the initial paths of Islamic dissemination, the roles of key figures and Muslim dynasties, and the interaction between Islam and local cultures. Islam first arrived in India through trade and peaceful missionary activities by Arab merchants, followed by the military expedition led by Muhammad bin Qasim in the 8th century. The peak of Islamic civilization in India occurred during the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire, which not only expanded Islamic rule but also laid strong foundations in governance, social structure, education, and culture. Islam became a major force in India's political and social transformation. However, British colonialism significantly impacted the Muslim community, leading to marginalization and identity conflicts that culminated in the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. This study concludes that the history of Islam in India reflects a complex process of interaction, acculturation, and social dynamics, offering valuable lessons on tolerance, cultural harmony, and civilizational resilience in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

Indonesia’s growing role in the global halal economy highlights the necessity of a well-developed halal infrastructure that ensures product integrity, strengthens consumer trust, and enhances industry competitiveness. However, existing studies and national practices tend to focus on isolated elements such as certification or logistics, resulting in fragmented implementation and uneven institutional capacity across regions. This study aims to provide an integrated analysis of halal infrastructure covering certification governance, halal laboratory networks, halal logistics, and digital traceability systems and examine how these components collectively reinforce the Sharia economic ecosystem in Indonesia. Using a qualitative literature review supported by policy reports and empirical case documentation, the study synthesizes Institutional Theory, the Resource-Based View, and the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah framework to analyze structural, operational, and ethical dimensions. The findings show that coordinated institutional arrangements, capacity development of laboratories, and digital integration significantly enhance efficiency and credibility, although disparities remain in regional access and SME readiness. The study concludes that holistic infrastructure development is essential for sustainable and inclusive Sharia economic growth, contributing a conceptual framework to guide future policy and empirical research.
