Abstract

The Indonesian community's ratio is very high compared to the savings rate. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the financial management behaviour of the Sidoarjo community. The factors used in this study are financial knowledge, income, locus of control, financial attitude, financial self-efficacy, and parental financial socialization. This study uses quantitative data with the Sidoarjo community as a population. This study's analysis technique is multiple linear regression analyses with 220 samples of respondents. The result shows that income and locus of control can affect financial management behaviour, and financial knowledge, financial attitude, financial self-efficacy, and parental financial socialization does not affect financial management behaviour. The income can affect financial management behaviour because when someone has good money resources, they can pay all of their bills and make some savings and investment.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, financial strain, financial management behaviour, and income on financial satisfaction in the e-wallet user in Surabaya. The research is a type of conclusive causality research with quantitative research data using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The data collection instrument used in this research was the distribution of online questionnaires. The samples used in this research were 207 respondents from e-wallet user in Surabaya. The data analysis use Structural Equation Model (SEM) technique with AMOS tools. This research shows that only financial management behaviour influences financial satisfaction because of their good financial management awareness. Financial literacy has no financial satisfaction because the information is easy to get, but what is received is not necessarily correct. Financial strain has no influences on financial satisfaction because respondent did not experience financial strain, so most of them are college students and students. Income also has no influences on financial satisfaction because the income received still depends on each parent.

Abstract

The bank, as financial intermediaries, is institutions that collect funds from society and distribute those funds for credit and providing other banking services. So, banking health is essential to prevent banks from Financial distress that leads to bankruptcy. This study analyses the effect of the CAMEL ratio and macroeconomic factors to predict non-foreign exchange bank is in 2014-2019 Financial distress. The CAMEL ratio consists of Capital proxied by CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio), Asset Quality proxied by NPL (Non-Performing Loan), Management proxied by BOPO (Operating Expense to Operations Income), Earning proxied by ROA (Return on Asset), Liquidity proxied by LDR (Loan to Deposit Ratio). Then, macroeconomic factors proxied by GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and Inflation. This study used 20 non-foreign exchange bank is in 2014-2019 as the sample was determined using purposive sampling, and the statistical methods used to analyze is logistic regression in SPSS 25. This study shows that CAR, NPL, BOPO, LDR, GDP and Inflation have no significant effect on the probability of a bank's financial distress. On the other hand, ROA has a significant effect on the probability of a bank's financial distress.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of good corporate governance (GCG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on companies' value with financial performance listed on the IDX for the 2016-2019 period. This research's object is 19 selected companies in various industrial sectors, with a sample of 76 annual reports that meet the criteria. The data used is the 2016-2019 annual report. The method used is the classical assumption method, multiple linear regression, path analysis method using SPSS version 25. The direct effect study results, GCG, an agency composed of management ownership, institutional ownership, and the board of directors, will not significantly impact the value of the company. GCG, which is proxied by the audit committee and CSR, affects firm value and financial performance (ROA), affecting firm value. The indirect effect research shows that ROA has not been able to mediate the effect of GCG, which is proxied by managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and commissioners' board.ROA is only able to mediate the effect of CSR on firm value.

Abstract

On March 2nd 2020, the first case of Covid-19 was found in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the reaction of the Indonesian capital market to the first case of Covid-19 using average abnormal return (AAR), cumulative abnormal return (CAR), and trading volume activity (TVA) before and after the event. The observation began seven days before and seven days after that event. The population of this research uses the data of mining sector companies listed in February and March 2020 on the BEI. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total of 41 mining companies. This study uses quantitative research and the comparative method the research testing by Wilcoxon Signes Rank Test. The result showed no differences in AAR, CAR, and TVA of mining sectors between before and after the announcement of the first cases of Covid-19. Investors are expected to be more careful in making investment decisions because this pandemic has occurred for a long time and around the world.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of green innovation implementation and ownership structure on corporate financial performance. The variables consisted of corporate financial performance, green innovation, managerial ownership, and institutional ownership. The study used a quantitative causality approach. The population of this study is a mining sector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample was determined with the following criteria: (a) mining sector companies, (b) submit annual reports to IDX in 2020, and (c) not delisting in 2020. The data used was secondary data of the company's annual report and the PROPER awarding data from the Ministry of Environment. Data analysis techniques used multiple Linear Regression with Stata 14.2 software. The results showed that green innovation and managerial ownership did not affect corporate financial performance, while institutional ownership positively affected corporate financial performance. The managerial implication of this research is that in the short term, the presence of institutional investors can improve corporate financial performance.

Abstract

The business continuity of MSME entrepreneurs is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those engaged in batik fashion, where fashion shows or exhibitions are cancelled. To support batik entrepreneurs, product and technology innovations that adapt to market conditions are needed. In order to increase sales of batik fashion in the pandemic era through digitalization, an appropriate marketing strategy is needed to increase technological literacy that has a positive impact on increasing market share.This community service activity aims to analyze and implement strategies to increase the market share of batik MSMEs through optimizing web-based digital marketing. This type of community service is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The method of data collection was carried out by survey and observation methods. The implementation of the training uses tutorial and lecture techniques. The implementation of community service is carried out in 4 stages, namely the identification of batik UMKM partner problems, formulation of partner problem solutions, providing e-commerce training in the form of e-commerce web design training and content creation, and evaluation and assistance in the form of partner understanding and satisfaction surveys. SMEs in Kampung Batik Lemahputro, Sidoarjo have implemented several forms of web-based marketing applications into their businesses, but their level of use is limited to basic marketing applications such as e-mail and static websites. However, MSMEs already have a moderate understanding of the benefits of web-based marketing and more than 50 percent of SMEs indicated that they are aware that web-based marketing can improve overall performance and profitability.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of debt ratio, size, earnings per share, dividend policy, and money supply to stock price in mining Sector Company listed in Indonesia stock exchange period 2011-2015. This research uses the type of causality research and the data used is secondary data. Sampling technique by purposive sampling and obtained by eight companies as research object. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results show the debt ratio, size, earnings per share, dividend payout ratio, and dividend yield effect on stock prices of mining companies. While the money supply does not affect to stock price of mining companies. The recommendation of this research is that company need to consider debt ratio, size, earnings per share, dividend payout ratio and dividend yield in making company policy, because can affect stock price movement of company and become an alternative investment decision-making for investors.

Abstract

The objectives of the research is to empirically examine the influence of corporate governance, firms size, and firms leverage to earnings management practice. Corporate governance is proxied by managerial ownership, institutional ownership, sense of independent of director, and size of board director. Firms size is measured with logarithm of total assets. The firms leverage is proxied by total debt to total assets ratio. To detect earnings management this research using discretionary accruals (managed accruals) that measured with modified Jones models. The sample used in this research is manufacture companies that implement corporate governance and registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2005 until 2008. The method of analysis of this research used multi regression. Result of this research shows that: (1) Simultaneously of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, presence of independent of director, size of director, size, and leverage have significant influence to earnings management. (2) Managerial ownership had not influence earnings management. (3) Institutional ownership had not influence earnings management. (4) Presence of independent of director had negatively influence earnings management. (5) Size of director had negatively influence earnings management. (6) Size had positively influence earnings management. (7) Leverage had negatively influence earnings management

Abstract

The city of Surabaya is the city with the second highest number of people affected by the Covid-19 virus after DKI Jakarta. Surabaya is the center for administrative service activities, offices, services, shopping, industry and other supporting sectors. With the Covid-19 virus pandemic spreading so fast, the Surabaya City government issued regulations for working at home, studying at home, and limiting activities that led to large gatherings of people. Problems arise when the activities of schools, agencies, offices, motorcycle taxis, and some informal workers are economically affected. As well as government regulations that must be obeyed in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, it also needs to be understood. This community service has a target, namely increasing food security, especially in terms of meeting basic needs. The implementer understands that in terms of meeting their basic needs, they have a few problems related to how to get it due to the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), the distribution of PKM funds as foodstuffs is carried out in order to meet the basic food needs of the people affected by Covid-19 so that it can support public welfare. The method used is data collection of students and contract workers / utsourcing affected by Covid 19 who survive in boarding houses around the UNESA Ketintang campus location and distribution of nutrition and immunity enhancing food ingredients. As a result, there were 35 packages distributed to management students and non-contract / outsourcing FE Unesa who were affected by Covid 19 to meet food needs. Recipients of basic food packages consider that the packages are very important to meet food needs and maintain body resistance so that they are not susceptible to disease
