Abstract

Adequate nutrition affects the quality and quantity of egg production which has an impact on the profitability of laying hen breeders. Rizqie Farms experienced problems with the management of feeding laying hens, when the rainy season and open cage conditions made feeding irregular. It is important to be disciplined in feeding layer chickens on time at the same time as a research ur-gency, so that the chickens do not become stressed so that discipline in feeding management increases the quality and quantity of egg production. The design thinking method as a meth-od-ology for completing the creation of Android smartphone tools and applications. The com-pletion stages start with empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The materials used to make the tool are ESP32 DEVKIT V1 S2, Ultrasonic Sensor, Servo driving droplet feed, Power Source/Supply 12v 1A, Stepper Motor Driver l928n, Stepper Motor Nema 17 20nm, DS3231 RTC Module (timer), Arduino Uno R3, Buzzer / Speaker, LCD 1062 16x2 with I2c port. Sensor data connected to the ESP32 DEVKIT V1 S2, Ultrasonic Sensor, Servo drive is converted to an Android smartphone as a monitoring medium. Monitoring is carried out via a mobile application, with the Internet of Things connected to the device as an internet-based communication medium. Feeding equipment testing had an average delay of 40.2 seconds and MSE 0,0514. Black box testing was carried out to test the functionality of the monitoring application on 5 users with a percentage of 100%.

Abstract

Lecturer performance evaluation is a crucial aspect in improving the quality of learning in higher education. However, current evaluation processes are often conducted generally and fail to accurately represent the performance of individual lecturers. To address this issue, a web-based lecturer performance evaluation system was developed at the Department of Information Technology, State Polytechnic of Jember. This system allows students to directly evaluate lecturers through a Likert-scale questionnaire covering three main aspects: pre-learning, learning implementation, and post-learning activities. The method used in this program includes system design, implementation, and trials involving both lecturers and students. The results show that the system facilitates a more transparent, efficient, and real-time evaluation process, generating accurate performance reports that support accreditation and internal quality assurance. Moreover, the system encourages two-way feedback between students and lecturers as a foundation for continuous improvement in the teaching process. Therefore, the implementation of this JTI Innovation is a strategic step toward building a culture of quality and transparency within higher education institutions.

Abstract

Jember State Special School (SLB) through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) vocational through the theme "Let's garden". The implementation of the project has several obstacles, namely the limited number of teachers in managing the number of students if they have to do direct practical activities. So that a visual, communicative, and interesting learning method is needed so that students can easily understand it. The purpose of this activity is to improve the skills of SLB N Jember students. The implementation time is from May to August 2024. The methods used include observation, training in practice, monitoring, and evaluation. They are learning with visual or props techniques Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out. That there are 81% of students understand hydroponic vegetable packaging, and 60% of students who can understand the concept of packaging design, and marketing carried out through WhatsApp business so that they can improve their Agro-Entrepreneurship skills.
