Abstract

This study examines the management of Group C minerals, focusing on challenges such as illegal mining, inaccurate valuation of sale value, weak supervision, and the lack of integration of environmental and social aspects in mining regulations. Through the analysis of Law No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining and case studies in several regions, this study suggests the revision of regulations, improvement of supervision, application of information technology, and cooperation between governments for more effective management. These recommendations aim to assist policymakers in reforming the mining sector, especially for Group C minerals, to ensure its management is more equitable, efficient, and sustainable, while emphasizing the importance of adaptive and flexible policies to face global dynamics.

Abstract

The quality of education of an institution cannot be separated from the Strategic Management implemented. MIN 5 Sragen is one of the schools under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion in Sragen Regency, Central Java which has good quality of education. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of 1) analyzing the implementation of Strategic Management that has been carried out by MIN 5 Sragen 2) determining the effect of the implementation of Strategic Management on the quality of education at MIN 5 Sragen. This study is a descriptive qualitative study conducted with various data collection techniques such as closed questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The resulting data were analyzed using an interactive method initiated by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that MIN 5 Sragen has implemented strategic management through six stages, namely 1) formulation of the school's vision and mission; 2) analysis of the internal environment; 3) analysis of the external environment; 4) analysis and determination of goals, objectives, and strategic planning; 5) implementation of strategic management; and 6) evaluation of strategic management. Each stage has been implemented well so that MIN 5 Sragen is able to reap the benefits of implementing strategic management.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the Balanced Scorecard in evaluating the performance of geological exploration projects through a qualitative approach. The study explores how the four perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard (finance, customers/stakeholders, internal business processes, and learning and growth) can be tailored to the unique characteristics of geological exploration projects. The results show that the Balanced Scorecard, when appropriately adjusted, can be an effective tool for comprehensively evaluating performance, managing risk, and aligning short-term goals with long-term strategies. Although its implementation faces challenges, especially in determining the appropriate metrics, the Balanced Scorecard has proven to help companies manage the complexity and uncertainty inherent in geological exploration projects, while still considering long-term sustainability aspects.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the impact of climate change on soil and water quality in Indonesia through an environmental geochemistry approach. By analyzing soil and water samples from several representative locations, the study found that rising temperatures and fluctuating rainfall contribute to a decrease in soil pH and an increase in heavy metal concentrations in water. Interviews with farmers and local communities showed a growing awareness of the changes occurring in agricultural patterns and resource quality. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of sustainable management and collaboration among researchers, government, and communities to address the challenges posed by climate change.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed various aspects of human life significantly. In Indonesia, Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE) has been promulgated to regulate the use of information technology and electronic transactions. However, along with the rapid development of technology, UU ITE has undergone two changes, the last one being through Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2024. This study aims to explore the application of ITE law in the use of computer technology for geological exploration and digital accounting systems, using a qualitative approach with a case study design. The results of the study show that the implementation of ITE law still faces challenges related to data protection and information security. Many companies find it difficult to ensure compliance with ITE legal regulations, while sensitive geological and accounting data is vulnerable to unauthorized access and data leakage. The implications of the research are the need to increase socialization and training of ITE law, update information security policies, and adopt advanced security technologies to protect sensitive data more effectively.
