Abstract

Background: Surabaya city has a high rate of hypertension, one of the region which has highest incidents of hypertension is Rangkah, Tambaksari. The number of hypertension incidents in Tambaksari placed 5th ranks of region which has largest hypertension incidents. Aims: The aim of this study is to analyze the risk factors for hypertension in Rangkah Village, Tambaksari District, Surabaya City Methods: Discriptive analytical research using cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were 44 respondents. Results: The majority of respondents who were at high risk of hypertension are women (60%), pre-adult age group (46%), have primary school education (36.2%), have jobs in the private sector (46%) with the majority of income > IDR. 2,000,000,- . There were significant relationship between nutritional status (p-value= 0.000; OR=3.097), physical activities (p-value= 0.031, OR=1.582), large coffee consumption (p-value= 0.037, OR=1.537), and stress (p-value = 0.031, OR = 1.582) with the risk of hypertension in the Rangkah area, Tambaksari, Surabaya City. Conclusion: There were significant relationship between nutritional status, physical activities, heavy coffee consumption and stress with the risk of hypertension in the Rangkah area, Tambaksari, Surabaya City.

Abstract

Background: The rate of visual disorders due to cataracts in Indonesia is the highest in Southeast Asia region and got the third place in the world at 1.47%. The prevalence of cataracts in East Java Province based on Riskesdas 2013 was 1.6%. Every year as many as 38 thousand residents of East Java Province are threatened with cataracts. Cataracts require a very large cost for medication. Aims: This study aims to conduct a Health Expenditure Analysis of cataract patients at Public and Private Hospital in Surabaya. Methods: Observational analytical research using quantitative methods. The time approach used for this research is a prospective design. The sample in this study were 174 patients. Results: Based on the results of the study, there was a significant difference (p-value = 0.001) between the Health Expenditure of cataract patients in private hospitals and government hospitals. The average health expenditure at private eye hospitals was higher than that of government eye hospitals, with an average difference -an average of IDR 4,240,030 per patient. Even so, patients from private and government hospitals experienced catastrophic health expenditure. Based on the chi-square test, there was a significant relationship between cataract severity (p-value¬= 0.001) and the incidence of catastrophic health expenditure. Conclusion: Catasthropic health expenditure can be experienced by patients in both private and public hospitals due to health costs incurred for cataract treatment for a period of 3 months.

Abstract

Gangguan penglihatan dan kebutaan masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di dunia. Penelitian bertujuanuntuk menganalisis productivity loss pasien katarak di rumah sakit mata swasta di Kota Surabaya. Jenispenelitian ini observasional analitik yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel sebanyak 142 pasienRS Mata Swasta di Kota Surabaya. Rata-rata biaya produktivitas yang hilang per pasien katarak pada RSMata Swasta adalah sebesar Rp 708.383 per pasien, dan nilai total productivity loss Rp 20.131.011.Productivity loss akibat katarak per pasien berkisar antara Rp 708.838, atau sebesar 8% pendapatan rata-ratasesuai UMR di Kota Surabaya. Beban ekonomi akibat penyakit katarak tidak hanya berupa biaya pengobatansaja, namun juga beban ekonomi karena hilangnya produktivitas kerja, absen pekerjaan, dan biayatransportasi yang dikeluarkan untuk menuju ke pelayanan kesehatan. Abstract

Background: Marketing is a management activities derived from customer interactions. The marketing mix is one of the marketing techniques used by an organization to achieve its goals in the target market. The conditions required or that may be identified in order to use the available bed. In usage, four criteria are used for correctly tracking the usage of bed: bed occupancy ratio (BOR), length of stay (LOS), turn over interval (TOI), and bed turn over (BTO). According to information from Hospital X type C, the number of Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) inpatients is below standard and will continue to fall throughout each month in 2022. Aims:The objective of this research was to investigate the association between the marketing mix and increasing utilization of inpatient care. Methods:This research conducted a quantitative study using a cross-sectional study technique. The sample was 20 persons. Results:Using all of the data generated by the independent variables and the dependent variable, namely the marketing mix and purchasing decisions, it is possible to determine product, price, place and process with a significance level smaller than 0.05, indicating that there is a relationship between these variables and the purchase decision. Abstract

Patient complaints toward service at Undaan Eyes Hospital in 2015 amounted to 9 complaints, and has not yet reached target set by the hospital which was equal to 0 complaints. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze gaps in expected service and perceived service of responsiveness, reliability and emphatyat UndaanEyes Hospital. This research was an analytic observational survey and to be analyzed by customer window. Sample were in equal to 98 people and collected by systematic random sampling. The result showed from the analysis of the customer windowwas that some aspects in service are in quadrant A or Attention, which patient expected service higher than perceived service. Some aspects that were in Attention quadrant, are: waiting time > 30 minutes, speed of service delivery was slow and lack information. It can be concluded that some of the things that are in quadrant A or Attention is a strategic issue that must consider and resolve byUndaan Eyes Hospital to meet the expectations of patients.              Keywords: customer window, gap analysis,service

Abstract

Mortality rate Hipertensi di Kota Surabaya per 100.000 penduduk mengalami kenaikan dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Salah satu terapi nonfarmakologi yang dapat menurukan tekanan darah adalah ekstrak zingiber afficine (jahe merah). Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi penatalaksanaan hipertensi dan memberikan terapi non farmakologis dengan ekstrak jahe merah (zingiber afficine) bagi penderita hipertensi. Nonequivalent Control Group Design (Pretest dan Posttest) pengukuran tekanan darah sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pemberian terapi non farmakologis ektrak jahe selama 5 hari dan edukasi kesehatan menggunakan metode ceramah, pemberian leaflet, pemutaran video dan diskusi. Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan p-value= 0,001, terdapat perubahan yang signifikan terkait pengetahuan penatalaksanaan hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan edukasi. Salah satu predisporsing factor yaitu tingkat pengetahuan hipertensi yang baik akan mempermudah terjadinya perubahan perilaku Terdapat perubahan tekanan darah penderita hipertensi sesudah diberikan ekstrak jahe merah selama 5 hari (p-value=0,000). Perubahan tekanan darah dan pengetahuan penatalaksanaan hipertensi dipengaruhi oleh predisporsing factor yaitu terkait pengetahuan tentang hipertensi dan enabling factor dengan penyediaan alternatif terapi non-farmakalogis berupa produk ekstrak jahe merah yang rutin dikonsumsi.

Abstract

Background: The health service has a public relations division which can be considered important in carrying out its duties. One of the tasks of public relations itself is to handle patient komplaints. Aims: know the relationship between public relations skills and the competency of patient registration officers in handling komplaints. Methods: This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with an approach of distributing questionnaires to officers with 6 respondents. Results: the results obtained on the independent and dependent variables, namely the relationship between competence and patient handling in the moderate category, officer communication with komplaint handling in the low category and job description with komplaint handling in the moderate category. Conclusion: The conclusions obtained are the competence of officers in handling related komplaints, the communication of officers in handling related komplaints and the job description of officers in handling related komplaints.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (RME) in hospitals aims to improve the efficiency and quality of health services. The implementation of RME needs to be adjusted to the task requirements and user characteristics in order to provide optimal benefits. The Task-Technology Fit (TTF) method can be used to analyze the fit between information technology and the tasks it supports. Aims: to determine the relationship between Task Technology Fit and Performance Impact. Electronic Medical Records at Adi Husada Hospital Kapasari Surabaya. Methods: This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method on a sample of RME users in hospitals. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Pearson correlation test Results: The research results show that the use of Electronic Medical Records (RME) has a significant effect on user performance. This is because the RME application is easy for users to understand and learn, and is able to provide the latest information according to patient service needs. With the ease of use and suitability of the RME application features to task requirements, it has a positive impact on improving the performance of officers who use the application in hospitals. Conclusion: Implementation of Electronic Medical Records (RME) in hospitals according to the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) method. The characteristics of RME and its suitability to task requirements have a positive impact on officer performance. Hospitals need RME development and training to improve efficiency and quality of service.

Abstract

Background: In some hospitals, response time for services is still a problem that is often complained about by patients. One of the things that affects response time is patient satisfaction. The response time standard set by Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital is that more than 80% of patients receive services within the appropriate time, however, in 2023 it is still below the standard, with an average of 77.4%. Aims: This study aims to determine the relationship between service response time and patient satisfaction at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital, Surabaya. Methods: The design of this research is cross-sectional, the research sample amounted to 38 people. Using Spearman's Rank Test. Results: The majority of respondents who visited were women (63%), age group 30-50 years (37%). There is a significant relationship between service response time and patient satisfaction with a p value = 0.003 (p value <0.005) and a correlation coefficient value of 0.471 indicating that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive and in the same direction at Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital, Surabaya. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between service response time and patient satisfaction. The strength of the relationship between service response time and patient satisfaction is included in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Introduction & Aims: According to WHO, there are 65.6 million elderly people throughout the world who experience impaired cognitive function. The impact of cognitive disorders in the elderly causes a shift in the role of the elderly in social interactions in society and within the family, followed by a decrease in physical and mental activity, impaired social function, and a decrease in quality of life. East Java is in second place with the highest dementia rate with a dementia prevalence of 10.40% and increasing with each passing year. Based on preliminary data in the RW 07 area, Kapasan, Simokerto District, the risk of cognitive impairment in the elderly is in fourth place with a percentage of 20%. So it is important to intervene regarding the risk of cognitive impairment in the elderly. The aim of this activity was to stimulate the cognitive abilities of the elderly through MOKA Games. Method of Activity: Community service activities were carried out in the RW.07 area, Kapasan, Simokerto District, Surabaya City, in February 2024. Implementation of this activity included opening, filling out the pre-test, explaining the material using leaflets, MOKA (Cognitive Monitoring of the Elderly) demonstration. Games, discussions, and post-test completion. MOKA Games is a game innovation based on the MMSE instrument, equipped with a guidebook containing a game monitoring table, each player has a monitoring table containing the score for each question. Result: There was an increase in audience knowledge as shown by an increase in the percentage of knowledge from pre-test to post-test, apart from that respondents were able to carry out a MOKA Games simulation with the direction of elderly cadres. Discussion: Cognitive stimulation activities for the elderly through MOKA Games received a positive response and good enthusiasm from the audience, with MOKA Games we can find out the condition of cognitive abilities and stimulate the elderly.
