Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui studi kelayakan pembukaan program studi Ketatalaksanaan Angkutan laut dan Kepelabuhanan (KALK) di Politeknik Pelayaran Surabaya. Metode pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian survey dengan metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive sampling. Sumber data adalah stakeholder di sekitar zona surabaya dan siswa SMU. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur dan analisis menggunakan teknik analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembukaan program studi Ketatalaksanaan angkutan Laut dan Kepelabuhanan (KALK) dapat dilakukan dengan cara melakukan strategi ekspansi pertumbuhan yang bermakna yaitu dengan terus melakukan penjaringan siswa melalui strategi informasi yang massif dan terkendali. Status lembaga pendidikan berstatus negeri sehingga menjadi daya tarik dan peluang bagi peserta didik. Memanfaatkan publikasi dan informasi untuk mempromosikan pembukaan program studi.

Abstract

Water is an important resource in daily life on board a ship. pH is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution, including water. The pH value ranges from 0 to 14, where a pH of 7 indicates a neutral solution, a pH value of less than 7 indicates an acidic solution, and a pH value of more than 7 indicates a basic solution. Therefore, it is important to have an effective monitoring and control system to ensure the pH value is safe and meets applicable standards. The method used in this research uses an experiment using an ESP32 microcontroller and the parameters used are a pH sensor to determine the pH value of the water on board the ship. The sensor provides data input to the ESP32. The data is processed and displayed on the LCD. In this system, if the pH of the water does not meet the standard, the ESP32 drives pump 1 or 2 to flow the acid or base solution. Testing on tools made to detect the pH value of water. The purpose of making this tool is to monitor and control water quality in order to avoid dangers that may arise due to exposure to water that is contaminated or with an inappropriate pH. This system can function well because there is an average error of 0.24% in testing between the pH sensor and the pH meter.

Abstract

Main engine is the main driving engine. This research develops a ship's main engine temperature monitoring system using the Blynk application. Thermocouple sensors measure engine temperature and IR Sensor measure RPM, the data is processed by ESP32, and sent to the Blynk cloud server, this research aims to determine the design of a prototype intelligent monitoring system to detect the temperature of a ship's main engine using a Thermocouple sensor, NodeMCU ESP32 which operates at 3.3V power is used as the processing core data. The system design in this research integrates Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Test factors for thermocouple temperature measuring devices and RPM sensors (IR Sensors). The test procedure uses a dynamo as a simulation of the main engine, tested for 5-10 minutes under normal conditions and 5 minutes when the dynamo feels warm to hot.

Abstract

Mesin terdiri dari bagian-bagian logam (metal parts) yang bergerak seperti poros engkol, batang torak, dan bagian mekanisme katup. Untuk menghindari terjadinya kontak langsung maka perlu diberikan sistem pelumasan. Pelumasan pada mesin sangat penting, karena tanpa pelumasan komponen-komponen mesin akan mengalami gesekan secara langsung, sehingga menimbulkan panas dan mengakibatkan kerusakan berupa keausan yang akhirnya umur mesin dan komponen- komponennya tidak tahan lama. Tujuan yang ingin diperoleh penulis adalah untuk mengetahui fungsi minyak pelumas pada sistem pelumasan, komponen- komponen pada sistem pelumasan, cara kerja sistem pelumasan. Fungsi pelumasan sangat penting diatas kapal, maka tentunya system pelumasan harus mendapatkan perhatian khusus didalam melaksanakan perawatan atau pengujian lab secara rutin disamping permesinan yang lainnya. Sehingga sistem pelumasan ini dapat bekerja sesuai dengan fungsinya diatas kapal agar tidak mengganggu kelancaran pengoperasian kapal. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penyusunan proposal ini adalah metode penelitian penggabungan antara metode shel dan usg sebagai teknik analisa data untuk menganalisa masalah yang ada pada mesin diesel penggerak utama, yaitu faktor- faktor apakah yang menyebabkan turunnya tekanan minyak pelumas mesin induk, dampak dan upaya apa yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi faktor– faktor dari permasalahan tersebut dengan mengidentifikasi berbagai faktor-faktor secara sistematis terhadap software, hardware, environment, liveware untuk merumuskan strategi yang akan diambil. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian turunnya tekanan minyak pelumas mesin induk adalah (1) kotornya filter atau saringan oli. (2) carter atau sumptank kekurangan minyak pelumas. (3) kurangnya skill atau kemampuan dari crew kapal, (4) tidak berjalannya standart operasional prosedure (SOP) Untuk mengatasi faktor-faktor tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan membersihkan atau mengganti komponen yang rusak dengan spare part yang baru, pengoperasian yang benar sesuai prosedur yang ada dan perawatan dan pengecekkan yang berkala terhadap sistim pelumasan.

Abstract

The condition of the ship's generator coolant is always monitored because it affects the performance of the ship's engine. Maintaining the engine coolant temperature is very important to avoid damage that occurs because the engine coolant is too hot on the engine components. With the internet of things, a technological concept has the ability to connect and facilitate the communication process between machines, devices, sensors and humans via the internet network. The aim of this research is none other than to monitor and automatically fill the water level of coolant radiators on generator engines on ships using an IoT system. This research uses a prototyping method system. After designing the tool, testing the tool, monitoring system and automatic filling of the water coolant radiator on the generator engine, the average error rate in the ultrasonic sensor readings when the first test was carried out was 3.02%, the second error was 2.57%, and the third error was 3.63%. Meanwhile, the coolant water discharge data is known to be 3 seconds to 10 seconds with a discharge of 60.7 mL/s. Where this data is monitored on the Blynk 64 mL/s application with an error rate of 5.43%. Therefore, the monitoring and charging system for this water coolant radiator using the IoT system can work well.

Abstract

Most door accesses used in homes still use conventional keys. Where the use of manual keys is still vulnerable to loss or damage and is not very safe to use, because manual keys can be duplicated or duplicated by other people. This certainly feels less practical and flexible. This research aims to help improve door security. With a voice recognition system, only certain people can access it using a certain access code. Researchers used the trial and error method. The factor being tried is the voice recognition V3 module which can read voice recordings. The results of this research can be implemented in the form of a tool, where the system can open and close house doors according to the planned design, namely through voice commands and the designed system can run normally according to the automatic system that has been designed in prototype form. The conclusion from this research is that the voice recognition module is capable of recording sounds up to a distance of 20 cm. In voice recording < 10 cm the module is relatively easier to receive voice commands, in recording > 10 cm and < 15 cm the module is slightly less able to receive voice commands, so that in voice recording at a distance of 15 cm to 20 cm the module is very poor in receiving commands sound well.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs in the load lifting system is the need for an efficient and reliable mechanism to move the crane hoist pulley vertically and horizontally. This study aims to design and test a crane hoist system that uses a DC motor and a stepper motor controlled by an L293D motor driver, and to develop an application based on MIT App Inventor to control the movement of the motor. The research method used is integrated hardware and software design, followed by testing the performance of the motor, driver, and the application developed. Testing was carried out under limited load conditions, to measure the motor speed, voltage, and current used at loads of 10 to 100 grams. The results of the study showed that the system can function well at varying speeds, and the motor is able to lift a maximum load of up to 100 grams with a speed that decreases according to the weight of the load. The MIT App Inventor application successfully controls the motor effectively via a WiFi connection with a maximum distance of 10 meters, and loads the operation of the crane vertically and horizontally. This study proves that the designed system is able to work optimally in lifting and moving loads, and the application developed provides easy and efficient control.
