Abstract

This study examines the influence of pesantren traditions, such as Ta’zim, on the emotional and moral development of santri at Ma'had Baitul Qur'an Madura. The purpose of this study is to understand how the social environment and pesantren traditions shape the moral and emotional character of santri. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews with santri and teachers. The results show that pesantren traditions, such as Ta’zim and gotong royong, create an environment conducive to the development of positive morals and emotions, such as empathy and a sense of social responsibility. The findings support Kohlberg's theory of moral development and affirm the importance of social interaction in individual moral formation. The implication of this study is that the pesantren tradition can be an effective model of character education, providing new insights for the development of moral education curricula in various contexts.

Abstract

This study explores how strategic leadership can drive institutional transformation toward excellence in Islamic higher education. A qualitative research approach with an ethnographic orientation was adopted, conducted at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Indonesia, for one year, specifically during the university's preparation for national accreditation. Data were collected through three primary methods: participant observation in leadership meetings and quality assurance activities, in-depth interviews with 14 key informants (including university leaders, lecturers, and accreditation staff), and document analysis of the institution's strategic plan and accreditation report. Data analysis employed an inductive thematic procedure, in which interview transcripts, field notes, and institutional documents were analyzed to identify emerging themes. The research findings revealed that strategic leadership is realized through three main pillars: clear visionary direction, participatory management, and the integration of Islamic humanistic values ​​into institutional governance. Despite facing challenges such as structural fragmentation, limited financial resources, and cultural resistance to change, the leadership successfully mobilized collective commitment and aligned organizational efforts with accreditation goals. As a result, the university achieved the highest national accreditation rating (A). This study contributes theoretically by contextualizing strategic leadership within faith-based educational settings in developing countries and highlighting the importance of moral authority, inclusive communication, and organizational synergy. Practically, these findings offer valuable insights for Islamic university leaders seeking to foster excellence under constraints.

Abstract

Based on the observation results at MI Al-Falah Dakiring, specifically in grade V, it shows that the learning process is still teacher-centered. Students are not given the opportunity to actively participate, especially in groups, making the learning atmosphere still felt boring, particularly in the subject of mathematics, which is associated with abstract material and is considered difficult to understand. This can be seen from the students' exam results, which are still below the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM) of 70, and classically, it is observed that less than 80% of students achieve the expected grades. In the innovation of the learning process, the researcher wants to implement a different and more engaging teaching method to create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. Students will be actively involved in the form of enjoyable games so that learning outcomes can be achieved as formulated. One alternative that can be developed to address this issue is through the implementation of the index card match learning strategy. It is hoped that this will create a new atmosphere that encourages students to actively participate in groups, allowing them to find answers through enjoyable exercises and interact well within study groups. The learning process becomes more interactive, allowing learning outcomes and objectives to be maximized. The subjects used in this study are 18 students. From the questionnaire results, 83.33% of students chose the answer "yes," and 91.7% of students scored above the KKM. The results of the hypothesis test analysis show that the calculated r=0.873, and the tabled r at a 5% significance level is 0.468. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the index card match learning strategy on student learning outcomes in the topic of plane geometry in grade V at MI Al-Falah Dakiring.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu hal yang mendasar dalam kehidupan manusia dan berperan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama dalam hidup bermasyarakat. Dalam proses pendidikan dapat ditempuh melalui Pendidikan formal dan Pendidikan non formal. Salah satu Pelajaran yang ditempuh dalam Pendidikan formal di sekolah dasar adalah mata Pelajaran matematika. Matematika dianggap salah satu mata Pelajaran yang sulit bagi siswa, sehingga banyak bahasa guru yang sulit dipahami oleh siswa Ketika menjelaskan konsep atau teori matematika. Untuk itu seorang guru dituntut untuk mencari metode yang cocok dan efisien digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satunya yang terjadi di MI Al-Falah Dakiring Bangkalan khususnya di kelas V pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar yang merupakan materi yang diajarkan di kelas V yang merupakan dasar materi yang berkaitan dengan materi-materi selanjutnya yang akan dipelajari siswa sekaligus materi berkelanjutan yaitu salah satu materi dasar untuk mempelajari materi bangun ruang. Namun pada pelaksanaannya, siswa seringkali bingung dengan konsep keliling dan luas pada bangun datar sehingga guru mencari alteratif penyelesaian sehingga siswa dapat memahami materi tersebut. Salah satu alternatif yaitu dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran peer tutoring. Metode peer tutoring ini yaitu pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan cara memberdayakan kemampuan siswa yang memiliki daya pemahaman yang tinggi, siswa tersebut mengajarkan materi/latihan kepada teman-temanya yang belum paham. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran peer tutoring terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar kelas V MI Al-Falah Dakiring Bangkalan. Berdasarkan data hasil angket direkapitulasi sehingga memperoleh rata-rata siswa yang menjawan “ya” adalah sebanyak 85,18% sedangkan rata-rata yang menjawab “tidak” adalah 14,82%. Dengan demikian respon siswa tentang penerapan metode pembelajaran peer tutoring terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas kelas V MI Al-Falah Dakiring Bangkalan berkategori Baik. Hasil analisis untuk ketuntasan belajar siswa adalah 15 siswa dari 18 siswa atau sebesar 83,33% telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal dengan nilai ≥ KKM. Dari hasil perhitungan r hitung diperoleh 0,78 dan dibandingkan dengan r table 0,468 terlihat bahwa lebih besar r hitung dibandingkan r tabel, maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. artinya ada pengaruh model pembelajaran peer tutoring terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar kelas V MI Al-Falah Dakiring Bangkalan Kata kunci : metode pembelajaran peer tutoring, prestasi belajar

Abstract

The results of the interviews revealed that sixth-grade students at MI Al-Falah Dakiring Socah Bangkalansaat are currently experiencing difficulties in learning because they are unmotivated and do not pay attention to the teacher's explanations. As a result, many students are unable to develop critical thinking skills and often give perfunctory answers to the exercises given by the teacher. They also lack in-depth analysis of the steps needed to solve the problems given. Deep learning, which is pedagogical learning to meet the needs of today's education. Deep learning is learning that focuses on a comprehensive understanding of concepts, meaningful information management, and the ability of students to relate the knowledge they have acquired to real life, as well as to think critically, reflectively, and creatively in problem solving. This research method is field research that adopts a qualitative approach. Field research includes types of research that require researchers to go directly to the research location and interact directly with the local community. In this study, researchers can directly experience the phenomena that arise in the field and gain a comprehensive and clear understanding of the situation and conditions at the research location. The analysis shows that there are changes in students before and after using deep learning. Among other things, students become more active in discussions with their classmates and group members, actively ask questions, actively search for data or information through learning resources, and analyze each question by trying to answer based on analysis and data. Students are more confident in expressing their opinions, challenging their peers' opinions based on data and analysis, and willing to collaborate to find solutions to the questions and problems they encounter. This indicates an improvement in students' critical thinking skills through the use of deep learning in the scale material in the sixth grade at MI Al-Falah Dakiring Socah Bangkalan. This certainly has a positive impact, enabling learning objectives to be achieved. Given several obstacles in the learning process, as a researcher and classroom teacher, I have carefully prepared learning scenarios before the lessons begin so that the efforts that have been planned can minimize the obstacles encountered during the learning process, thereby ensuring that the learning objectives are achieved to the fullest extent possible.
