Abstract

The Baayun Maulid tradition is a religious celebration specifically practised by the Banjar community in the month of Rabi'ul Awwal or what is commonly referred to as the "month of mulud". It is usually centred in the mosque in conjunction with the commemoration of the maulid of the prophet Muhammad. Children are swung on swings by their parents, the verses of the Holy Qur'an are recited, the verses of the prophet's maulid are chanted and prayers are offered to them. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on understanding and interpreting the symbols involved in every aspect of the Baayun Maulid tradition. The research method used was content analysis of documentation related to the Baayun Maulid tradition. The results show that symbolic interaction in this tradition covers a variety of elements, including celebration procedures, the use of religious symbols, and community participation in various ritual activities. The symbols found in this tradition not only contain religious values, but also reflect the values of close social solidarity and deep cultural identity among the Banjar people. The Baayun Maulid tradition is not only a religious ceremony, but is also recognised as an effective means to strengthen social ties within a community. Religious symbols become the glue that connects individuals within a framework of togetherness and unity. As such, this paper contributes to further understanding of how symbols in religious traditions can shape and strengthen a community's cultural identity

Abstract

This study aims to provide an understanding of Green Spirituality based on Eco-Spiritual focused on conscious mental revolution environment on education. This research was conducted using the systematic literature review (SLR) method through a qualitative approach, with collecting data from Scopus, Science Direct and Springer. Techniques data analysis used in study was descriptive. The results showed that Eco-spiritual based Green Spirituality that combined spiritual understanding with respect and attention to nature had a connection. It can be seen that Green Spirituality is actually more moderate in its teachings. While the environmental revolution is conscious of education by building spiritual character. Efforts to love the environment must be built and harmonized through real actions starting from society and formal education such as schools and higher education. Implications on study for this guard conscious mental revolution environment that gives vision, inspiration, motivation for environmentalists to construct ethics in the environment education.

Abstract

AbstractKompetensi mahasiswa dalam memahami kaidah bahasa Arab menjadi sangat penting sebab merupakan salah satu tools untuk dapat menulis yang baik dan benar dengan bahasa Arab. Sayangnya, kompetensi ini sering kali dianggap momok yang sulit dipelajari oleh sebagian besar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami kaidah bahasa Arab sehingga mampu menulis (insya’) dengan baik dan benar melalui permainan pembelajaran “mengisi pesan gambar” yang dikenalkan oleh Imam Asrori. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode eksperimen melalui Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design pada mahasiswa semester 3 program studi pendidikan bahasa Arab Universitas Jambi tahun 2022. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes (pre-test dan posot-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai prosentase sebesar 97,435 yang berarti permainan pembelajaran “mengisi pesan gambar” telah diimplementasikan dengan sangat baik.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum under the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy and its role in enhancing employability skills in the Arabic Language Education program at Jambi University. Addressing the gap between labor market demands and conventional curriculum limitations, the research employed a qualitative case study approach, collecting data through interviews (5 lecturers, 5 students), participant observation (Teaching Campus activities, collaborative projects), as well as document analysis (MBKM policies, syllabi). Findings indicate that OBE-MBKM integration improves graduate employability, with internships, industry projects, and student exchanges fostering practical, communication, and leadership skills. Institutional support (lecturer training, industry networks) is key, yet challenges persist, including uneven lecturer understanding, infrastructure gaps, and weak industry partnerships. The study affirms the potential of OBE-MBKM potential to boost graduate competitiveness but highlights the need for systematic improvements in lecturer capacity, facilities, and stakeholder collaboration. Theoretically, it contributes to employability skill integration in higher education; practically, it offers policymakers actionable insights for designing market-responsive curricula.

Abstract

This study discusses the speech form and function of directive speech acts in the two classical Arabic cartoons, Fawaz and Naurah, produced by Sakardi Hasanudin's YouTube channel and iEN Youtube Channel. The classical Arabic cartoon, Fawaz and Naurah, depicts a family that offers many lessons about education in everyday life. The objectives of the study are: 1) To identify the form of directive speech acts in the dialogue of the Arabic cartoon, Fawaz and Naurah. 2) To identify the function of directive speech acts in the Arabic cartoon, Fawaz and Naurah. The method used in this research is the library method, using several scientific research sources in the form of books or magazines related to the title or topic to be discussed. This research is descriptive of the object to be studied. The research steps : 1) Writing down directive speech acts founded in Fawwaz and Nauroh cartoon; 2) Determining speech acts types; 3) Analysing speech acts from eight components purpose (SPEAKING); 4) Analysing the meaning purposed behind the data from speech acts types and its function. Results of the analysis of direct directive speech acts and indirect directive speech acts in the cartoon, Fawaz and Naurah: 3 data for directive speech acts and 3 data for indirect directive speech acts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of TikTok social media on the @kursusarab account as an Arabic language learning medium on students' learning interest at Al-Falah Islamic High School in Jambi City. The background of this study is the initial findings that indicate a lack of attention and interest in learning students in Arabic language learning. This study uses a quantitative method with a One Group Pretest Postest Design. The subjects of the study were eleventh grade students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest to measure students' interest before and after the application of TikTok social media on the @kursusarab account in the learning process. The research instrument used was a questionnaire statement test. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning interest after the use of TikTok social media on the @kursusarab account with an average pretest value of 56.40 increasing to 69.80 in the posttest. The paired TTest test showed a significance value of 0.001 (P <0.05), which indicates that TikTok social media on the @kursusarab account has a positive effect on students' learning interest. The results of this study are expected to provide a positive contribution in the development of more effective and interactive Arabic language learning methods at the secondary school level, as well as provide insight into the use of TikTok social media to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mobile application to make tutors and students in Jambi University easier to fulfill Islamic religious tutorial assignments. Research and Development with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model is used as the basis for the method with the main focus of this applied research on Application Design and the Effectiveness of its Implementation in the Islamic Education tutorial program. The result of this research is the development of a mobile application called SIMA'I (Islamic Religious Mentoring Information System) that is a new idea for Islamic Religious Learning innovation based on the Mobile Application System which is designed for tutors and students to fulfill Islamic religious tutoring tasks which up to now are still manual. The results of the questionnaire showed that on a scale of 1 to 5, SIMA'I obtained an average performance of 4.17 on the effectiveness of tutorial implementation and an average of 4.88 on the efficiency of the tutorial program, thus showing a positive effect on the Islamic tutorial program at Jambi University. SIMA'I scored high on the components of "interface and satisfaction", "ease of use" and "usability".

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui pelatihan penggunaan media EdTech di SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh. Pelatihan yang diikuti oleh 25 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang secara aktif melibatkan guru pada setiap tahap kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, refleksi, hingga replikasi program. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pre-test dan post-test, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada kompetensi pedagogik digital guru, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 57,6% menjadi 86,3%, atau mengalami kenaikan sebesar 28,7 poin persentase. Peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada kemampuan merancang media interaktif (32,2%) dan penggunaan Learning Management System (31,0%). Guru yang sebelumnya hanya menggunakan PowerPoint kini mampu mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berbasis Canva, Wordwall, Kahoot!, Padlet, dan Google Forms. Sebanyak 88% peserta juga melaporkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam mengimplementasikan teknologi di kelas. Selain itu, terbentuknya EdTech Teacher Community SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun ekosistem digital berkelanjutan di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik dan simulasi micro-teaching efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesionalisme guru, sekaligus menjadi model pengembangan kapasitas guru berbasis teknologi yang dapat direplikasi di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam implementasi metode Al-Miftah dalam pembelajaran morfosintaksis (sharaf dan nahwu) di Pondok Pesantren Arriyadh Kota Jambi, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung, kendala lapangan, dan upaya mengatasinya. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan perspektif fenomenologis, data dihimpun dari pimpinan pesantren, guru, dan santri sebagai informan yang dipilih via purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode Al-Miftah berjalan melalui empat tahapan operasional yang sistematis: perencanaan (adaptasi jilid materi dan penyiapan bagan visual), pelaksanaan (pembelajaran berbasis pola dengan teknik takrar), latihan/aplikasi (analisis mandiri dan kelompok yang dominan), serta evaluasi berkelanjutan. Faktor pendukung utama meliputi rancangan kitab yang sistematis, media visual, dan budaya disiplin pesantren. Sementara itu, kendala yang dihadapi berupa heterogenitas kemampuan dasar santri, keterbatasan alokasi waktu, serta problem psikologis kurangnya rasa percaya diri santri. Upaya solutif yang ditempuh guru meliputi intensifikasi pengulangan kaidah dasar, penerapan strategi tutor sebaya (peer tutoring), dan variasi bentuk soal latihan harian.
