Abstract

Students' understanding and the character of students' environmental care still need to be developed. This study aims to analyze the differences and relationships of the variables of concept understanding, environmental care character, and student responses in elementary schools on thematic subjects. This study uses mixed research methods designed with an explanatory design. Explanatory design is carried out in several stages of research, first by collecting data, second by analyzing the data and third by formulating the results of the analysis quantitatively, then proceeding with data collection, analyzing and formulating qualitative data, and ending with interpreting the research results. Data collection in this study used instruments in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the t-test and correlation test on the variables of conceptual understanding, environmental character, and student responses in elementary schools on thematic subjects can be said to be good but need to be improved optimally so that these variables are beneficial for students. The conclusion of this study is that there is a comparison of concept understanding, environmental care character, and response in two elementary schools on thematic subjects and there is a relationship between concept understanding, environmental care character, and student responses in two elementary schools on thematic subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the process of learning Arabic in the new normal era, the demotivating phenomenon of learning Arabic, the teacher's obstacles in overcoming the demotivation of learning Arabic, and the solution to the demotivating phenomenon of learning Arabic in the new normal era. This study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Well, interviews, observations, and documentation a comprehensive data collection techniques. The results showed that there was demotivation in learning Arabic in class X IPS MA DDI Kijang Island, evidenced by internal and external factors which showed that: 1) students were less active and enthusiastic in learning Arabic, 2) Students found it difficult to learn Arabic. Arabic, 3) Changes in unscheduled learning conditions, 4) The methods used by teachers are less varied, 5) Limited duration of learning, 6) Less conducive learning environment. The teacher's efforts and solutions to overcome demotivation and increase motivation to learn Arabic are as follows: 1) Become a cool teacher, 2) Encourage students to keep practicing, 3) Score points and praise. The previous research was conducted before the pandemic face-to-face, while this research was conducted online during the pandemic.

Abstract

This article examines how COVID-19 Pandemic to be a moment for Islamist group in radicalizing the communities. In many studies have explained that Islam Defend Movement 212 as the biggest moment for Islamism arising. Post 212 movement there was no significance issue to trigger the society. Therefore COVID 19 Pandemic to be islamism consolidation that actually has been fragmented. This reserach used netnography method where the researcher make digital world to be a field of research. Data was collected by observing communities in Facebook groups managed and commented on by the Jambi community. Data was also obtained by collecting online news in Jambi Province. In addition, to add data, the researcher conducted in-depth interviews with 10 informants. Then the reseracher interpreted the symbols, images, and communication patterns that took place in the Facebook group and online media. Furthermore, the data is displayed, analyzed and concluded with the stages carried out in netnographic research. Research findings that COVID 19 Pandemic was capitalised for “anti China” issues and to be a tool to criticise Joko Widodo government because his policy about social distancing has been limited Muslim rituals out of home. The research analysis that COVID 19 Pandemic has been a significance momentum to nurture and to consolidate Islamist group who have experienced at least the issues and the stage for taking action and preserving the views of Islamism. This article discusses that the COVID-19 Pandemic as a curriculum for internalizing Islamism will become a social capital to realize the ideological agendas of radical groups.

Abstract

Innovative learning can be interpreted as an innovation from conventional learning in terms of facilities, media, and methods. Using a student-oriented approach to innovative learning bas ed on the constructivism paradigm which sees that knowledge is built independently by students through the process of investigation and use of technology. Innovative learning can be realized through several methods such as problem solving (problem-based learning), investigation (discovery learning), research (inquiry learning), and group discussion (project-based learning). Responding to this, the Department of Language and Literature Education (PBS) under the auspices of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Jambi University is trying to implement case-based and project-based learning. However, in general there are differences between lecturers in translating these learning concepts technically in the classroom. This research focuses on lecturers' understanding related to case-based and project-based learning. The research data was taken using a focus group discussion instrument and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Through the results of the study it was found that the lecturers have different understanding of the implementation of cased method in terms of the stages in learning, constraints, and learning outputs. Meanwhile, in relation to project-based learning, the lecturers understand its characteristics in terms of product-based, student-centered learning, and focus of the process.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the phenomenon of implementing the hidden curriculum in collaborative learning of the Pai Tutorial Program in Building Awareness of Religious Digital Literacy at Jambi University. The main focus of this research approach is qualitative research. as quoted by Creswell Qualitative is a research approach that aims to understand what phenomena are presented by research topics such as behavior, perceptions, motives, and actions and others. Qualitative Approach This study aims to reveal data in related fields: Hidden Curriculum Model in the PAI Tutorial Program in building awareness of religious digital literacy and its application. As well as looking at the perceptions of students who take part in the tutorial program with the Hidden Curriculum model of digital literacy collaborative learning at the University of Jambi. The hidden curriculum is an invisible curriculum, can occur spontaneously, unplanned and can arise from learning experiences in schools. Even though the hidden curriculum does not have formal and measurable systematics, it plays a very important role in realizing a learning goal, especially PAI learning. PAI learning can be achieved optimally with hidden curriculum support through tutorial activities involving students outside class hours

Abstract

This study aims to provide an understanding of Green Spirituality based on Eco-Spiritual focused on conscious mental revolution environment on education. This research was conducted using the systematic literature review (SLR) method through a qualitative approach, with collecting data from Scopus, Science Direct and Springer. Techniques data analysis used in study was descriptive. The results showed that Eco-spiritual based Green Spirituality that combined spiritual understanding with respect and attention to nature had a connection. It can be seen that Green Spirituality is actually more moderate in its teachings. While the environmental revolution is conscious of education by building spiritual character. Efforts to love the environment must be built and harmonized through real actions starting from society and formal education such as schools and higher education. Implications on study for this guard conscious mental revolution environment that gives vision, inspiration, motivation for environmentalists to construct ethics in the environment education.
