Abstract

This article proves that there is a significant relationship between the Islamic philosophy along with spiritual ecology and the ecological crisis and its solution. Loss of views and beliefs of spiritual ecology are among causes of environmental damage and the universe. Therefore, the restoration of spiritual ecology and its relationship to ecological values will play a pivotal role in the conservation and rescuing of natural and environmental crisis. Spiritual and Islamic philosophical values have ecological implications and consequences that should be the attitude and lifestyle in creating a harmonious relationship between God, man, and the universe. Eco-philosophy presents what so-called the values of spirituality as its base and emphasizes that humans remain to be special from other creatures. However, such privilege has to be a burden for humans and they are obliged to maintain and preserve the universe with spirituality and based on cosmic theology as coined in Islamic philosophy. Abstract

Abstact. This article examines motivating strategies in learning Tahfizh Al-Qur’an. The question in this study is what is the motivating strategies in learning Tahfizh Al-Qur’an applied at the Qur’an-Hadith School and the Integrated Islamic Boarding School Dar al-Masaleh Foundation, Jambi City. This type of research is qualitative research. Data is collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. To check the validity of the data, it is done by extending the participation, observation, and trigulation. The results of this study reveal that the strategy of motivation and learning tahfizh Al-Qur’an as follows: a) At first, arrange what you want to remember, b) Improve good communication between teachers and parents of students, c) Do not concentrate too much on memory material, d) Give prizes / sanctions, e) Give memorization targets, f) Create a pleasant atmosphere, and g) Hold student performances or take part in competitions. The supporting factors in learning Tahfizh Al-Qur’an are the motivation of the teacher and parents, conducive classroom atmosphere, the awareness of the students themselves and the good relationship between the teacher of tahfizh, parents and students. Otherwise, it will become obstacles.Abstrak. Artikel ini mengkaji strategi pemotivasian dalam pembelajaran Tahfizh Al-Qur’an. Pertanyaan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi pemotivasian dalam Pembelajaran Tahfizh Al-Qur’an  di Sekolah Qur’an Hadits dan Sains Yayasan   pesantren Terpadu Dar al-Masaleh Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui metode observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data, dilakukan dengan melakukan perpanjangan keikutsertaan, pengamatan, dan trigulasi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa strategi motivasi dan pembelajaran tahfizh Al-Qur’an sebagai berikut: a) Mengatur terlebih dahulu apa yang hendak diingat, b) Memperbaiki komunikasi yang baik antara guru dan orang tua siswa, c) Jangan memusatkan terlalu banyak bahan ingatan, d) Memberikan hadiah/sanksi, e) Memberikan target hafalan, f) Menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan, g) Mengadakan pentas santri/siswa atau mengikuti kompetisi. Adapun faktor pendukung dalam pembelajaran Tahfizh Al-Qur’an adalah motivasi dari guru dan orang tua, suasana kelas yang kondusif, adanya kesadaran dari diri siswa dan adanya hubungan baik antara guru tahfizh, orang tua dan siswa. Jika sebaliknya maka akan menjadi faktor penghambat.

Abstract

Several Malay cultures resulted from the interactional pattern of community activities. Such Malay culture becomes an identity for the people adhering to it. This identity is its adherents’ different from other cultural adherents. However, corresponding to current demand and cultural dynamic from time to time, Malay cultural identity as this identity cannot always be understood by the younger generation partially or even entirely. Especially, young generation today has been heavily involved in technological developments. This community service aims to foster awareness of Malay culture, and to instill the character of Malay culture to the young generation. The methods used in this activity were dialogue and lecture, and interview methods with a socio-cultural approach. These method and approach were expected to raise awareness of the preservation of Malay culture among young generation which is not only abstract and embodied into ideas, but can also be expressed in behavior reflected by the young generation that will shape its cultural character.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk melihat pola perjuangan kemerdekaan di Keresidenan Jambi Hulu tepatnya di daerah Batang Asai Kewedaaan Sarolangun dalam menghadapi agresi militer Belanda. Perang kemerdekaan di Keresidenan Jambi tidak hanya dirasakan oleh penduduk ibu kota Keresidenan atau Kewedanaan namun di berbagai daerah Pedalaman seperti di pedalaman Kewedanaan Sarolangun tepatnya di daerah Batang Asai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini adalah metode historis yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu Heuristik, Kritik, Interprestasi, dan Historiografi. Perlawanan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dan para pejuang di Batang Asai merupakan perjuangan yang dilakukan semata-mata demi mempertahankan martabat bangsa.Kata Kunci: Revolusi Kemerdekaan, Batang Asai, Kasiro-Sungai Pinang

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan kerugian yang sangat besar. Hal ini juga berdampak pada masalah-masalah psikologis yang dialami oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak psikologis Covid-19 pada masyarakat Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei terbuka. Analisis dilakukan dengan kategorisasi, axial coding, persentase, dan deskripsi. Responden penelitian sebanyak 564, yang merupakan warga Jambi, terdiri dari masyarakat umum, tenaga medis, dan ibu hamil. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa dampak Covid-19 terhadap kondisi psikologis masyarakat Jambi, diantaranya; cemas, stres, takut, perasaan tertekan, dan panik. Beberapa penyebab masyarakat mengalami stres dan masalah psikologis yaitu tidak bisa beraktivitas, pembelajaran terhambat, banyaknya berita hoax, masalah ekonomi, ibadah terganggu, kebosanan, kasus positif meningkat, takut tertular Covid-19, dan tidak bisa refreshing. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan persepsi terkait isolasi mandiri, kegiatan produktif di rumah, layanan kesehatan mental, tugas Psikolog dalam membantu masyarakat, dan upaya preventif yang dilakukan masyarakat Jambi secara mandiri.Kata Kunci: Dampak psikologis, Covid-19, JambiAbstract: Covid-19 pandemic has caused enormous losses. This also has an impact on the psychological problems. The objective is the psychological impact of Covid-19 on Jambi Society. This research was conducted using an open ended questionnaire, the analysis was done by categorization, axial coding, percentage, and description. The respondents in this study were the people of Jambi Province 564 respondents. This study shows the effects of Covid-19 on people psychologically, specifically anxiety, stress, fear, pressure, and panic. Several things that make the community experience such as psychological problems are incapable of doing daily activities, obstruction of the learning process, the number of hoaxes gets higher, economic problems, interrupted worship activities, boredom, a number of positive Covid-19 cases gets higher, people are also afraid to get contracted by the virus and society is unable to de-stress. Besides this study also revealed the perception such as independent isolation, productive activities at home, mental health services, the task of psychologists in helping the community, and other preventive efforts.Keywords: Psychological impact, Covid-19, Jambi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Participatory Observation learning model and students’ responses to the learning model used in PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic Education). It used qualitative and quantitative methods with a pre-test and post-test nonrandomized group pre-experiment design. The 125 participants who were taken from three public universities, were asked to fill out questionnaires and written interviews. The data were analysed using paired t-test and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that first experiment got a t-score of 6,798 with a significance of 0,000; t-table score at 51 degrees of freedom and a significant degree of 0.05 in the form of 2.032. Second experiment obtained a t-score of 5.991 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 54 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.046. Third experiment achieved a t-score of 6.424 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 20 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.054. When compared, t-score> t-table or significance score <0.05, which means that the mean score between pre-test and post-test is significantly different. This means that the Participatory Observation learning model can improve students' religious and social character in learning PAI. This result is in line with the respondents' recognition that they have experienced changes in their character in a positive direction. Students stated that the Participatory Observation learning model was fun and very useful, so that it could be used in PAI learning to improve students’ character.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui corak pemikiran mahasiswa aktif Universitas Jambi dengan mengajukan 16 pertanyaan atau pernyataan yang berhubungan dengan pemahaman keislaman dan hubungannya dengan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Jumlah sampel atau responden 2012 orang, yang berarti hampir 10 % dari sekitar 24.100 mahasiswa Muslim aktif yang ada di Universitas Jambi, melalui siakad Universitas Jambi (online). Berdasarkan jenis kelamin terdiri dari 970 orang responden laki-laki (48,21%) dan 1.043 orang responden perempuan (51,84 %). Responden mewakili setiap prodi dan Fakultas yang ada di Universitas Jambi yang telah menyempatkan diri untuk mengisi kuesioner tersebut, ini merupakan bentuk simple random sampling, yakni teknik pengambilan sampel dari anggota populasi dilakukan secara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi itu. Secara umum dari 16 pertanyaan tersebut tergambar bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa masih berada pada koridor yang sesuai dengan masyarakat Islam Indonesia pada umumnya, mahasiswa yang berpikir moderat berkisar antara 75-85 %, sedangkan yang masih berada di garis abu-abu atau berada pada jawaban keraguan berkisar antara 7-12 %, dan yang konsisten jawabannya pada garis yang radikal berkisar antara 0-3 %. Temuan ini terjadi pada 15 pertanyaan. Tetapi pada satu pertanyaan atau pernyataan yang berhubungan dengan pelarangan HTI ada peningkatan prosentase dari pemahaman yang berlawanan dengan pemahaman yang moderat. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya intensitas, pemahaman dan propaganda yang banyak berkembang dan difahami oleh mahasiswa sehingga pemahamannya cenderung lebih besar kepada tidak setuju terhadap pelarangan HTI (10,19 %). Kata Kunci: Corak Pemikiran; Mahasiswa Muslim; Moderat; Radikal.

Abstract

Qualitative research using this case study approach is to explore and describe the supervision of the principal in managing teachers from the perspective of the nature of the Prophet: Shidiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fathonah in the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School, Muara Jambi Regency. The data were collected through interviews and document studies of 4 participants, namely the headmaster of kindergarten/early childhood schools, SDIT, MTs, and the leader of the Hidayatullah Muaro Islamic Boarding School Jambi. Interview data were analyzed using a case and cross-case analysis between participants. The results showed four main categories, namely (1) like fingerprints, most of them had been carried out (2) like the mandate that they had been carried out (3) like tabligh that they had run as the program (4) there were obstacles and supporters in implementing the program following the nature of the prophet. The obstacles are laziness, not istiqomah (discipline), a busy schedule of activities, lack of awareness, while the supporting factors are a family atmosphere, halaqoh marhalah ula, marhalah wustho, deliberation, meetings, congregational prayers, reading the Koran, recitation, training, Madrasah working group (KKM), and Teacher working group (KKG).

Abstract

Students' understanding and the character of students' environmental care still need to be developed. This study aims to analyze the differences and relationships of the variables of concept understanding, environmental care character, and student responses in elementary schools on thematic subjects. This study uses mixed research methods designed with an explanatory design. Explanatory design is carried out in several stages of research, first by collecting data, second by analyzing the data and third by formulating the results of the analysis quantitatively, then proceeding with data collection, analyzing and formulating qualitative data, and ending with interpreting the research results. Data collection in this study used instruments in the form of observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the t-test and correlation test on the variables of conceptual understanding, environmental character, and student responses in elementary schools on thematic subjects can be said to be good but need to be improved optimally so that these variables are beneficial for students. The conclusion of this study is that there is a comparison of concept understanding, environmental care character, and response in two elementary schools on thematic subjects and there is a relationship between concept understanding, environmental care character, and student responses in two elementary schools on thematic subjects.
