Abstract

This article describes the Sangkuriang comic by R.A. Kosasih became several rhymes of advice. The research method used is qualitative and descriptive with data collection techniques in the form of a literature study. There are several rhymes of advice as a result of the transformation of the Sangkuriang comic by R.A. Kosasih. The rhyme of advice is in accordance with the events contained in the comic and does not change the actual theme.Keywords: Sangkuriang comic; advice rhyme; transformationAbstrakArtikel ini mendeskripsikan komik Sangkuriang karya R.A. Kosasih menjadi beberapa pantun nasihat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dan deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka. Ada beberapa pantun nasihat sebagai hasil transformasi dari komik Sangkuriang karya R.A. Kosasih. Pantun nasihat tersebut sesuai dengan peristiwa yang terdapat dalam komik serta tidak mengubah tema yang sebenarnya.Kata kunci: komik Sangkuriang; pantun nasihat; transformasi

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan berfokus pada pemberian dukungan tambahan kepada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas 4 dan 5 di SDN Ciranji. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kompetensi awal dan akhir, observasi pembelajaran, dan wawancara dengan guru. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kompetensi siswa setelah penerapan metode pembelajaran inovatif ini.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa. Dukungan tambahan kepada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar juga membantu dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mereka. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar di Indonesia.Abstract This research aims to improve student competency at the elementary school level. This research was conducted using an innovative learning approach method and focuses on providing additional support to students who experience learning difficulties. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The research sample consisted of students in grades 4 and 5 at SDN Ciranji. Data was collected through initial and final competency tests, learning observations, and interviews with teachers. The results of data analysis show a significant increase in student competence after implementing this innovative learning method. The conclusion of this research is that innovative learning approaches can be effective in increasing student competence. Additional support to students who experience learning difficulties also helps in improving their competence. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for other schools in efforts to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This Community Service was integrated with the implementation of the KKN program of Suryakancana University in 2023, and there were several differences with the implementation of the previous community programs. This year, students are projected to do community service in the area closest to their houses, with their own work program. This Community Service aims to reintroduce English through learning English vocabulary, especially at the elementary school level, in the fifth grade, with jobs and professional material, at the public elementary school Cibitung 2 Cibokor, using flashcard media. This service involved 5 lecturers and 9 students as the team. It is hoped that this community service can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of English language learning at the elementary school level, especially at SDN Cibitung 2 as well as enriching students' learning experiences in understanding and using new vocabulary. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi optimal dalam menerapkan analisis SWOT berbasis digital melalui kegiatan Karang Pamitran guna meningkatkan kompetensi peserta Naratama Dasar. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan peserta pelatihan, fasilitator, serta penyelenggara Karang Pamitran sebagai subjek utama. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan angket terbuka, lalu dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SWOT digital yang terintegrasi dalam kurikulum pelatihan, didukung oleh literasi digital yang memadai, pendekatan kolaboratif, serta sistem umpan balik reflektif, mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir strategis dan keterampilan praktis peserta. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa transformasi digital dalam pelatihan kepramukaan dapat memperkuat peran Karang Pamitran sebagai ruang belajar yang adaptif, inovatif, dan relevan dengan tuntutan perkembangan zaman serta kebutuhan pembina Pramuka masa depan.

Abstract

This paper delves into the outcomes of a training program aimed at enhancing language and literary literacy skills among inmates at PKBM At-Taubah Lapas II B Cianjur. These literacy skills are crucial for inmates' success in both the workplace and within their communities. The training program was structured into three distinct classes: language, character development, and literary development (poetry musicalization). The target participants were 25 inmates. Throughout the training, the inmates actively engaged in the learning activities. In the language class, while their speaking abilities were generally satisfactory, not all inmates were comfortable presenting in front of the class. Only three inmates volunteered to present when asked. In the character development and poetry musicalization classes, inmates were divided into groups and tasked with creating a musicalized poem. While their public speaking skills in the context of language literacy still require improvement due to confidence issues, the inmates successfully produced a group performance of their musicalized poetry creations.

Abstract

The studies regarding the effectiveness of teaching using a mobile phone on students’ vocabulary mastery are widely discussed.  While the process of how students acquire that vocabulary from a mobile phone is barely touched. That’s why the purpose of this study is to investigate the process of students acquiring English vocabulary from mobile phone use and whether the students comprehend the meaning of the vocabulary that they acquire or not. The design of this study employed study case design. The subject of this study was 7 students at a fourth-grade elementary school. The observation and interview were used for data collection. The research results demonstrated that mobile phone has great potential as an instructional tool for acquiring English vocabulary. The findings also indicated that the process of acquiring English vocabulary is caused by two factors. The first is psycholinguistic factors and the second is social factors. The finding indicated that the psycholinguistic factors hold the significant one. It can be seen from the repetition and exploration done by their own self in acquiring the English vocabulary. While the social factor such as people around them (their parents and friends) have less contribution in assisting them in acquiring the English vocabulary. Regarding the comprehension of vocabulary that they acquired, the findings suggested that three students understand and know the real meaning of most of the English vocabulary that they gained from daily mobile phone use, while the rest (four) students knew the words only based on words function without knowing the real meaning of each English word. Generally, findings clearly showed that mobile phones facilitated students in acquiring English vocabulary independently.
