Abstract

Abstrak: Keterampilan membaca puisi dengan menggunakan metode latihan ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalam membaca puisi dengan menggunakan metode latihan di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 20 Sungai Raya, Kabupaten Kubu Raya propinsi Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas terhadap 30 orang siswa dengan komposisi 12 orang siswa laki-laki dan 18 orang siswa perempuan. Berdasarkan indikator kinerja peningkatan keterampilan membaca puisi pada siklus I 54,76% dan siklus II menjadi meningkat menjadi 89,99%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode latihan di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 20 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya berpengaruh pada kegiatan keterampilan membaca puisi. Kata Kunci : Keterampilan Membaca Puisi, Metode Latihan Abstract: Poetry reading skills by using this training method is implemented with the aim to improve the skills in reading poems by using training method in Fifth Grade of Elementary School 20 Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya regency of West Kalimantan province. This research uses the descriptive qualitative approach. The type of research which is used is a classroom action research to 30 students with a composition of 12 male students and 18 female students. Based on performance indicators poetry reading skill improvement is 54.76% in the first cycle and in the second cycle have increased to 89.99%. This indicates that learning which uses training method in Fifth Grade of Elementary School 20 Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya gives effect on the activities of reading poetry skills. Abstract

This article discusses the transformation of the short story "Sang Pendoa" by Mahdi Idris into a drama script. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, while the data collection technique used in this study is the record technique and data card. The results showed that there was a process of change from the short story "Sang Pendoa" by Mahdi Idris into the drama script, which is in the form of addition and lounge to the elements of the character, background, and dialogue. Keywords: short story; drama; transformationABSTRAKArtikel ini  membahas transformasi cerpen “Sang Pendoa” karya Mahdi Idris ke  dalam naskah drama. Abstract

The development of English language proficiency for specific purposes (ESP) plays an important role in preparing learners for success in an increasingly globalized work environment, particularly in the field of business. In this context, the evaluation of ESP textbooks, such as "Intelligent Business”, the critical evaluation of English teaching materials, particularly focusing on the textbook "Intelligent Business" within the realm of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). The assessment is based on Cunningsworth's (1984) criteria, emphasizing aspects such as content relevance, organization, language presentation, and activities. The textbook is scrutinized for its effectiveness in enhancing business English skills, with a particular emphasis on vocabulary, grammar, and skill development, and sheds light on the collaborative efforts and acknowledgments involved in creating the coursebook, underscoring its value as a learning resource. Through this evaluation, the study aims to provide insights into the suitability and efficacy of the textbook in facilitating language learning in a business context. The data collection technique used is a documentation study by analyzing the textbook based on those evaluation criteria. It is expected that the results of the analysis can provide in-depth insight into the strengths and weaknesses of this textbook and provide guidance for the development of more effective textbooks in the context of ESP learning in the field of business. By focusing on the evaluation of ESP textbooks in the business context, this study is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of English language teaching and learning practices for specific purposes in various business environments.

Abstract

Bahasa inggris digunakan hampir di seluruh dunia karena merupakan bahasa universal. karena banyak media pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk belajar bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan dan mengajarkan bahasa Inggris melalui media boneka jari. Pengabdian masyarakat ini ditunjukkan melalui demonstrasi. Hasil penelitian kami menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak lebih tertarik untuk belajar bahasa inggris, mereka lebih menguasai kosa kata bahasa Inggris, terutama kosa kata yang berkaitan dengan profesi, boneka jari membuat pelajaran bahasa Inggris lebih mudah dipahami, dan mereka lebih kreatif dan kreatif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media boneka tali dalam pengajaran bahasa inggris berdampak pada minat dan kemampuan berbahasa inggris siswa.

Abstract

Education has an important role in efforts to improve human resources in a better direction. Education is very helpful and is expected to be able to form students who can develop attitudes, skills and intellectual intelligence so that they become human beings who are skilled, intelligent and have good morals. The professionalism of an educator can be seen from his mastery in the field of science he teaches. The teacher's technical ability and high moral commitment to his duties. The purpose of this study is to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the effort to implement human resource management in improving the quality of professionalism at SMP Negeri 51 Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative method, namely research aimed at describing and analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts individually and in groups. The results of this study state that human resource development is an effort to increase teacher professionalism by conducting training, training, seminars, KKG, group studies between MGMP teachers, conducting supervision and class visits and conducting assessments. In addition, it also provides motivation aimed at broadening teacher insight, providing job opportunities for teachers to increase the spirit of discipline and teacher skills.

Abstract

Sharia Banks as banks that carry out their business activities based on sharia principles, have an important role in financial institutions in Indonesia. This research analyzes how important quality human resources are in ensuring sharia banks can operate efficiently and sustainably. The research method used is qualitative analysis with a literature study or literature review approach. This research shows that the development of quality human resources is very necessary in achieving efficiency in Sharia Banking activities. Quality SDI must have sharia-based human resource competencies. And also as a Muslim who works in sharia banking, you must obey Allah. Increasing SDI competency can be done internally and externally. Human Resources’ competencies, characteristics, conformity with Islamic principles are very influential in determining how Islamic banking can work and develop. In this way, sharia banks can improve service quality, increase credibility, and increase customer satisfaction so as to achieve an efficient sharia bank

Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) is an integral part of vocational education in Vocational High Schools (SMK) which aims to connect theory and practice to form student competencies according to the needs of the business world and the industrial world (DUDI). This study aims to evaluate the management of street vendors in the Office Management and Business Services Expertise Program at SMK Negeri Samarinda. With a qualitative approach, data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation from students, supervisors, and industry partners. The results of the study show that although most students feel that street vendors are relevant to their field of expertise, there are still challenges in mentoring and adapting to work culture. Program evaluations tend not to involve optimal input from industry partners. Strategic recommendations include strengthening partnerships, mentor training, collaboration-based evaluation, and developing soft skills modules. With the implementation of this strategy, it is hoped that street vendor management can produce graduates who are competent and ready to compete in the world of work.

Abstract

Pada umumnya ketika seseorang yang mengalami hipertensi dan memiliki salah satu tanda akan muncul seperti sakit kepala dan tengkuk terasa nyeri. Salah satu tindakan yang dapat menurunkan tekanan darah yaitu teknik relaksasi genggam jari. Tehnik ini memberikan stimulus atau rangsangan pada titik-titik meridian tubuh dengan menggunakan jari-jari tangan yang bertujuan untuk mempengaruhi organ tubuh tertentu dengan mengaktifkan aliran energi tubuh dan sirkulasi darah menjadi lancar. Tujuan: penelitian ini untuk melakukan analisa terhadap kasus pasien hipertensi dengan intervensi tehnik relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam di Rumah Sakit X di Jakarta. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus(case study). Subyek yang di gunakan yaitu 3 responden yang menderita hipertensi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil wawancara dan rekam medis pasien. Analisa data menggunakan tehnik deskriptif dan naratif. Hasil: Dalam studi kasus ini karakteristik responden satu berjenis kelamin perempuan dan 2 responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki.denagn rentang usia 41-50 tahun,dan didapatkan hasil penerapan menunjukan bahwa setelah di lakukan penerapan relaksasi nafas dalam selama 3 hari, terjadi penurunan tingkat nyeri pada pasien dengan hipertensi. Kesimpulan: Tindakan relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam efektif untuk menurunkan nyeri pada pasien hipertensi. Pada penderita hipertensi hendaknya dapat melakukan relaksasi ini secara mandiri untuk mengontrol rasa nyeri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of POAC-based student management (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) in optimizing students' interests and talents through extracurricular activities at Samarinda State High School. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis, which measures the influence of each POAC dimension on the optimization of students' interests and talents. The results showed that Actuating had the most dominant influence on extracurricular success (β = 0.41; p < 0.001), indicating that sustainability and interactivity of activities contributed significantly to the development of students' skills. Meanwhile, Controlling had a negligible influence (β = 0.12; p > 0.05), indicating a weak system for evaluating and monitoring extracurricular results. In terms of participation, the survey results show that sports and arts extracurricular activities are the top choice for students (35% and 30%), while the science/academic and social/religious fields have lower participation rates. In addition, the frequency of student involvement is still limited, with the majority of students only participating in 1–2 extracurricular activities. This is allegedly caused by the academic burden and lack of socialization regarding extracurricular benefits. As a recommendation, schools need to diversify extracurricular programs, implement more flexible scheduling, and strengthen data-based evaluation systems to increase the effectiveness of activities. Collaboration with professional trainers and educational institutions is also a strategy that can be applied to improve the quality of coaching. With a more structured and innovative management, extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri Samarinda are expected not only to run actively but also to have a real impact on the development of students' interests, talents, achievements, and character.

Abstract

This research investigated the correlation of excessive assignments on the mental health of fifth-year English language students at State Islamic Religious Institution in Central Kalimantan. The research hypothesized a strong positive correlation between perceived assignment load and mental health problems. The method of this research used quantitative approach using a questionnaire. The Data was collected from 20 participants. The researchers, analyzed the data using pearson's correlation coefficient JASP to examine the relationship between excessive assignment and mental health condition. Based on the findings, the result showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.900, p <.001) between excessive assignment and mental health condition, indicating that 81.0% of the variance in students' mental health could be attributed to their perceived workload. Educational institutions should take proactive steps to manage student workloads and provide mental health support services, such as counseling, time management training, and flexible deadlines. Promoting a balanced approach to academic assessment that prioritizes both academic excellence and student well-being is crucial for fostering the success and well-being of English language students. This research limited due to the small sample size and focus on a specific student population. Future research with larger and more diverse samples is needed to further explore the complex relationship between academic demands and student mental health. The findings highlight the urgent need for universities and educators to prioritize student mental health alongside academic achievement. Implementing practical strategies to manage workloads and provide mental health support can promote a more holistic and student-centered educational environment.
