Abstract

Mordenisasi  diikuti dengan berbagai tuntutan gaya hidup generasi muda, untuk itu mordenisasi turut mendorong setiap anak untuk menentukkan pilihan yang tepat bagi dirinya sendiri. Perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi yang semakin pesat dewasa ini secara nyata telah mengambil peranan penting dalam setiap bidang kehidupan manusia. Hal ini juga berlaku bagi generasi muda bangsa kita yang tumbuh dan berkembang di era teknologi digital khususnya. Generasi muda adalah calon pemimpin bangsa ini, sehingga sudah sepatutnya setiap anak harus mendapatkan pembinaan karakter sedini mungkin. Anak perlu dibina dan dilatih terus-menerus agar memperoleh karakter hidup yang baik. Menurut UU SISDIKNAS No.20 tahun 2003, Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik aktif mengembangkan potensinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya dan masyarakat. Beranjak dari permasalahan tersebut, sebagai pendidik yang tentu memiliki keinginan selain mencerdaskan anak bansa tetapi yang terpenting adalah dapat turut membina anak-anak sehingga memiliki karakter hidup yang baik, maka kami berinisiatif untuk melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam wujud Sosialisasi dan pelatihan terkhusus kepada anak-anak di Rumah Belajar Missio Dei Km.12 Masuk. Dalam pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini, metode yang digunakan dalam yaitu Pendidikan Masyarakat dalam bentuk Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan.

Abstract

Geographically, the archipelago Indonesia is located on the Ring of Fire which is the meeting point of many tectonic plates. This condition causes Indonesia to be prone to earthquakes. The West Java Cianjur earthquake in November 2022 was a 5.6 MW earthquake with a depth of 10 km, which was caused by the movement of the Cugenang fault. Ciherang Village in the Pacet sub-district, Cianjur is one of the villages affected by the Cianjur earthquake. Victims of natural disasters are physically, psychologically and socially faced with very complex situations and circumstances. These problems cause stress for all residents and can cause hypertension. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to help ease the mental burden of Ciherang villagers who were affected by the earthquake. It is hoped that through this blood pressure measurement activity, the hypertension status of residents can be known. The results of blood pressure measurements showed that 9.7% had high blood pressure (130-139/85-89 mmHg) and 37.1% of residents had hypertension (≥140/90 mmHg).

Abstract

Education is an important key in the formation of an intelligent nation. The background of this study is the decrease in concentration and inactivity of students in learning Indonesian Language, especially in the hours before the end of learning at school. This Classroom Action Research was carried out in two cycles with the aim of increasing the concentration and learning activity of students in grades XI-10 of SMAN 21 Surabaya through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method with the Cooperative Learning model in learning Indonesian Language Argumentation Text material. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews, and tests. The results of the study show that the application of this TGT method can increase the concentration and learning activity of participants in grades XI-10 of SMAN 21 Surabaya on the Argumentation Text material. This can be seen from the increase in observations, interviews, and test results. Students' learning activities and critical thinking ability have increased with the percentage of score acquisition in cycle 2 higher than in cycle 2. The Teams Games Tournament (TGT) method with the Cooperative Learning learning model allows students to discuss with each other in learning, and can help each other, so that it can increase the activeness and involvement of students during the learning process. In addition, this method helps learners to develop their thinking and communication skills with other friends.

Abstract

High blood pressure or hypertension is a significant global public health problem, especially in the productive age group (18-64 years). Hypertension often does not show symptoms in the early stages, but if left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, and kidney failure. This Community Service activity was carried out on teachers at Santo Yoseph High School, Cakung, East Jakarta. The purpose of this activity is to screen for hypertension through blood pressure checks. This activity was designed using the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) method as a sustainable method for processes or activities. The results showed that 27 teachers (38.04%) had high blood pressure. This screening program is important because it can increase public awareness of hypertension, which can be prevented by monitoring blood pressure early and regularly, so that it can improve overall health outcomes and quality of life.
