Abstract

Community service activities were carried out by a team of lecturers from Pancasakti University Tegal. The goal is to apply civil engineering science to analyze and plan the structure of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Building located in Kalisoka Village, Tegal Regency. The main objective of this activity is to ensure that the design of the building meets national standards in terms of strength, rigidity, and resistance to earthquake loads. To achieve this goal, the team used several methods such as surveys in the field, determining the structure of the building, analyzing the accepted loads, and modeling the structure with SAP2000 software. The calculation of reinforced concrete elements refers to SNI 2847:2019 and SNI 1726:2019. The results of the analysis showed that the size of the structure and the requirements of reinforcement were in accordance with the factors of safety and material efficiency. This activity shows the important role of universities in supporting the development of public infrastructure that is safe, economical, and in accordance with national technical standards through the application of science directly in the community. In addition, the results of this activity are expected to be an example of the application of structural engineering technology based on national standards in other construction projects in rural areas, so that the quality of development can be improved sustainably.

Abstract

Creative micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting local economic development, particularly in tourism areas. Yamansari Village, Tegal Regency, has tourism potential that can be developed through distinctive local souvenir products. However, local MSMEs face several challenges, including limited production skills, lack of design innovation, and insufficient understanding of product quality and marketing. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of creative MSMEs through training in the production of Yamansari tourism souvenirs with economic value and competitiveness. The implementation method includes identifying MSME needs, preparing training materials, conducting participatory training sessions, and providing mentoring and evaluation. The training focuses on improving technical skills in souvenir production, developing design creativity based on local wisdom, and introducing basic packaging and marketing strategies. The results show an increase in participants’ knowledge, skills, and motivation to produce more diverse and attractive souvenir products. The implications of this program include opportunities to increase MSME income and strengthen the tourism identity of Yamansari Village through the sustainable development of distinctive souvenir products.

Abstract

Concrete is a material that has brittle properties, so it tends to be weak against tensile forces. As a result, concrete is prone to cracking when exposed to tensile loads or pressure that exceeds its capacity. To overcome this weakness, various innovations have been developed in the construction world. To overcome this problem, an innovation emerged, namely steel fiber concrete (concrete fiber steel) to strengthen the concrete structure and prevent early cracking. FS quality concrete can be a solution, it can withstand a compressive load of 400 kg / cm2. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding steel fiber as a mixture of cement concrete pavement (Fs 45 concrete) and to determine the comparison of flexural strength and compressive strength values between normal concrete and concrete with the addition of steel fiber. The study used an experimental method with stages of physical testing of aggregate materials, making test objects and stages of flexural strength testing and compressive strength of normal concrete and steel fiber concrete aged 28 days. The steel fiber used used a fiber type with a diameter of 0.90 mm and a length of 60 mm. The average result of the flexural strength test of normal concrete aged 28 days was 4.65 Mpa. Meanwhile, concrete with the addition of steel fibers aged 28 days obtained an average flexural strength of 5.29 MPa. The average result of the normal concrete compressive strength test aged 28 days was 30.9 MPa, while concrete with the addition of steel fibers aged 28 days obtained an average concrete compressive strength of 33.4 MPa.
